Looking For Revenge: Drake Reveals That He’s DONE Being Nice And Non-Threatening

Drake Says He’s Really Out For Revenge Now Drake is apparently done playing nice . The Toronto rapper seems to feel pretty emboldened after all but burying Meek Mill during last year’s feud and tossing (harsher than necessary) shots back at Kid Cudi . He now claims that his days of being non-threatening, and is doling out warranted revenge on anyone who comes for him. Ian Connor released a text convo between himself and Drizzy where Drake revealed that he’s dealing with each one of his haters as they come so he doesn’t end his career still focusing on the isht talked about him over the years… “Trust Bro. The blissful times of being new and exciting and non threatening are over. There is real people suffering thru issues based around their own misery and frustrations and their reaction to it all is being taken out on those that threaten their bubble. Anyone that disrupts the feeling of the world revolving around them. Kobe ended his career with an entire campaign about how much people hate him. What a way to have to exit. To feel like I was too good that even in my farewell we have to address the years you spent hating on me for it. Just don’t let it make you bitter. Pls. I am happy despite waking up everyday and someone new flipping on me or talking down. And I have grown to the point that revenge makes me happy because my revenge isn’t malicious it’s warranted.” Hmmm…do you think Drake is planning to stop whining singing about the strippers who’ve stolen his heart over the years and focus more of his rap energy on tackling those who come after him? Infinity Pool Party Is My Kind Of Party

I know there are no celebrities in this post, but here are some babes at some Infinity Pool Party . I’m kind of disappointed because a pool party isn’t a pool party unless I’m there, but once again my invite must have gotten lost in the mail. Sorry ladies, I guess you’ll have to wait until next year to meet The Tuna.

Nuts, The Farewell Issue

You’re going to want to make sure you’re sitting down for this latest Nuts spread, and not for the usual reason either. Apparently one of my favorite British lads mags just put out their final issue , which makes this a pretty sad day here at Tuna Central. There’s going to be a whole bunch of unemployed busty British models after this. So anyway, make sure you take your time to enjoy their farewell lingerie photoshoot. And no, I won’t blame you if you end up needing two boxes of tissues for this one. » view all 16 photos

Ron Paul Farewell Speech: Gone, But Not Forgotten

U.S. Rep. Ron Paul bid farewell to the U.S. House Wednesday. Watch the Texas Congressman’s final speech on the floor of the U.S. house here: Ron Paul Farewell Speech Not surprisingly to those familiar with Dr. Paul’s career and philosophy, he spoke for a LONG time (48 minutes) and touched upon his usual themes: Liberty, freedom, peace, and tolerance. Yes, there are the obligatory gold standard and raw milk references. This is Ron Paul, people. But wherever you are on the political spectrum, this is worth listening to. Paul’s influence on the Republican Party in recent years has been substantial, and his son, Sen. Rand Paul, will likely carry the torch going forward. The elder Paul’s unabashed calls for the rejection of both social and economic interventionists have galvanized many Americans in the past few years. Will the movement continue after the 77-year-old’s retirement? That remains to be seen, but this is one political figure who has left an indelible mark.

American Idol Results: Who Remains?

For their second performances last night, the remaining American Idol finalists sang tracks they wished they had written. This evening, though, the wishes of only three contestants would come true. So, perfect segue behind us, who got the boot? Following performances by David Cook and Jennifer Lopez, along with the announcement that both Jessica Sanchez and Joshua Ledet were safe, it came down to Phillip Phillips and Hollie Cavanaugh. And the eliminated contestant this week is… Hollie! Cavanaugh took the news better than good friend Ledet, as she sang her farewell to “The Climb” and the audience stood up and cheered. What do you think, readers? Did voters make the right choice in sending Hollie home?

Goodbye, Dear Movieline

Dear family Movieliners, it is with a heavy heart that I inform you that after three lovely years together — spent dissecting nearly every James Franco General Hospital performance , evaluating Sylvester Stallone’s shirtless evolution onscreen and trying desperately to make sense out of the Adam Sandler Box Office Paradox — I am setting sail for a new horizon. Although I am sad to leave my friends at Movieline, I am excited to report that beginning next week, I will be writing daily for VanityFair.com’s Hollywood Blog . Consider this a formal invitation to visit me at my new home. In the meantime though, thanks are in order. Thank you to the tirelessly intelligent S.T. VanAirsdale, the wickedly funny Seth Abramovitch and the reliably witty Kyle Buchanan, all of whom initially took a chance on me, entertained me endlessly during the work day and gave me confidence in my writing. Thank you to Christopher Rosen, who not only nurtured my work but proved to be an excellent friend and Internet conversationalist when it comes to television and planning funerals fitting for action icons. Thank you to Jen Yamato, for being such a sweet and encouraging editor with a borderline scary dedication to karaoke. (One day, I will join you on the dark side of Koreatown.) Thank you to Movieline’s critics Stephanie Zacharek and Michelle Orange for their dependably beautiful prose on even the most hopeless pieces of cinema. Thank you to Mike Ryan, for inspiring me with your original and entertaining interviews. Thank you to Mark Lisanti, for flooring me with your consistently hilarious Alan Smithee features. And lastly, thank you to Louis Virtel, who made me snort-laugh and be self-conscious of my monotone delivery more than any single person I have ever known. It was a pleasure being your droll Movieline sidekick for two plus years. And finally, thank you to the wonderfully articulate readers and commenters, who continually kept me thinking and laughing long after my posts had been published. This is starting to sound like and Oscar acceptance speech though and I am simply leaving an Internet writing job, so I’ll cut this short. I enjoyed you all over the past three years and am proud to say I wrote for Movieline . Best of wishes in the new year. As always, you can reach out to me about Lifetime movies, cats and jigsaw puzzles on my Twitter feed ( @juliewmiller ) and beginning next week, you can read my musings on Hollywood at VanityFair.com. Yours, Julie Miller

Bucky Larson and Beyond: Julie’s 10 Favorite Stories of 2011

The year is drawing to a close, which means that it is time to start thinking about all the things you did not accomplish in 2011. (That Ghostbusters 3 script ? Still unread. That copycat Wedding Crashers crime you committed in college? Still unresolved in court.) But before you do that, let’s take a look back at some of my favorite Movieline stories that punctuated this remarkably unproductive calendar year. Sylvester Stallone Shirtless: Over the Years In anticipation of Stallone’s latest topless role in the upcoming Bullet to the Head , Movieline looks back on the action hero’s 30-year shirtless evolution. Kate Hudson Rom-Com Comparability By now, you’ve rightly forgotten about Something Borrowed , the movie adapted from the book that your mom and sister read last year at the beach. That’s fine! To refresh your memory about what happened in that chickfest, you only need to look as far as EVERY OTHER KATE HUDSON ROM-COM to see what it is about. Bridesmaids 101 Cast members Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph, Melissa McCarthy and Wendi McLendon-Covey along with director Paul Feig and producer Judd Apatow met in Hollywood earlier this year to reveal what went into making one of the best comedies of the year. Porn Stars on Porn Stars Leave it to a real porn actress to find redeeming value in the critically-detested Adam Sandler joint, Bucky Larson: Born To Be a Star . The lovely and insightful adult-film superstar Joanna Angel met me at a matinee screening of the feature and then explained why Bucky was better than Boogie Nights . The Monkey Speaks In the run-up to The Hangover Part II , Movieline tracked down Crystal, the scene-stealing Capuchin monkey star for an exclusive 1:1 about breaking big in comedy, working with Zach Galifianakis and that ugly cigarette rumor. Craigslist Killer College Movieline is really a highbrow film site but once — a long, long time ago (this year) — my editors let me write about the lessons carefully embedded in Lifetime’s incomparable Craigslist Killer movie. Relive the thrills (and poorly-scripted chills) here. Sexiest H.S. Outcasts From the Breakfast Club to this year’s I Am Number Four , Hollywood movies have an annoying habit of casting outrageously symmetrical model-types as their loners and misfits. Here, Movieline points out nine of these paradoxical dorks in prom king and queen bodies. Celebrating 7-Eleven Chain convenience stores have provided many a setting in our favorite films. Here, Movieline looks back on some of their most notable work. Free Inspiration From a Pixar Artist Pixar animator Austin Madison ( Up , Ratatouille ) took a moment to pen an inspirational letter to fellow animators. It is touching, hopeful and encouraging for anyone in a creative field Scenes From Scarface In anticipation of the home release of Brian De Palma’s gangster flick, the Scarface cast — including Al Pacino — met for an informative Q&A about the making of their film, the surprising casting process and to share other trivia-ready revelations.
