The X Factor Results: Let’s Talk About Six

We’re down to the special six on The X Factor , as two more contestants were sent home tonight. Up first, just eight minutes and 12 irritating Khloe Kardashian remarks into the broadcast, PAIGE THOMAS heard her name called as the first singer eliminated. It then came down to two surprising selections, considering the performance of CeCe Frey on Wednesday: Diamond White and Vino Alan sang for their X Factor lives. Diamond went with “I Was Here,” while Vino hopde to avoid “Trouble.” Watch both renditions here: Diamond White – “I Was Here” Vino Alan – “Trouble” So, what say you, judges? With only L.A. Reid choosing to give Diamond the boot, VINO ALAN became the second finalist eliminated. Do you agree with these choices?   No way, Paige deserved to stay! Nope, Vino all the way! Yes, but I wish them luck! View Poll » Here’s a look at how America has ranked the remaining six: Carly Rose Sonnenclar Tate Stevens Emblem3 Fifth Harmony Cece Frey Diamond White

American Idol Results: Who Remains?

For their second performances last night, the remaining American Idol finalists sang tracks they wished they had written. This evening, though, the wishes of only three contestants would come true. So, perfect segue behind us, who got the boot? Following performances by David Cook and Jennifer Lopez, along with the announcement that both Jessica Sanchez and Joshua Ledet were safe, it came down to Phillip Phillips and Hollie Cavanaugh. And the eliminated contestant this week is… Hollie! Cavanaugh took the news better than good friend Ledet, as she sang her farewell to “The Climb” and the audience stood up and cheered. What do you think, readers? Did voters make the right choice in sending Hollie home?

When Pigs Fly: NFL Player Reps Reportedly Meeting Monday To End This Shady Lockout

Seems like this NFL Lockout situation will never be resolved… ESPN has upped the language and certainty of their report that says the process to end the lockout will start with a vote Monday. No longer is a meeting between the NFLPA* executive committee “expected.” Now the players have bought tickets and are flying in Sunday for a Monday meeting. No longer are there a few minor points left to figure out. Adam Schefter reports the two sides “have reached agreement” on the remaining issues. “Despite the fact the new deal will require a majority vote from the players, that part of the deal between the two sides is considered a formality, according to sources,” Schefter writes. The timeline we laid out last night remains. While it’s not official, some teams could potentially report to their team facilities Wednesday. The two sides would hope to have enough players officially vote to open free agency and training camp next Saturday. These dates remain subject to tweaking, but the report of an agreement apparently does not. We’ll believe it when we see it. Source
