New England Patriots star Aaron Hernandez, who is being investigated in a homicide case, recently got into a nightclub altercation that involved a gun. Hernandez, who is separately being sued by a man who alleges Hernandez shot him in the face , was part of a skirmish at a Providence, R.I., club. According to a May 18 police report, the NFL star was being harassed for several blocks by the subject, who yelled, “(Expletive) the Patriots. I’m a Jets fan.” So original. Fearing the situation would escalate, police intervened and detained several subjects who were following Hernandez to his vehicle, the report states. Police allowed Hernandez to leave the scene, then spotted a “heavy-set black male” discarding a firearm under a vehicle. The man fled the scene. Officials seized the weapon, a .22-caliber Jimenez with several cartridges. The report does not say whether the man was with Hernandez, but it appears as if the football star was not a stranger to potentially troubling situation.
Soulja Boy’s Bentley was recently impounded by the LAPD thanks to photos that appear to implicate him (or at least the car) in a serious hit-and-run. Back on January 9, a motorcyclist struck a red Bentley in Hollywood, leaving the biker seriously injured. The Bentley’s driver fled the scene, however. It is believed that its driver made a reckless turn that caused the crash. In any case, a friend of the biker went back to the scene to look around. That’s when he met a valet at Roscoe’s House of Chicken and Waffles who said that he knew the car well, and that it belonged to Soulja Boy. The witness then went to the police, who tapped into their secret database of photos taken by thousands of hidden cameras every day (seriously). In fact, TMZ reports there are private companies that exist solely to convince L.A. citizens and businesses to mount cameras for the database. The average L.A. car, supposedly, is photographed 1,000 times. A day. Back to the topic at hand, police easily got the license plate number of Soulja Boy’s Bentley, ran it through the database and the plot thickened. The crash itself was not captured on video, but images of the Bentley showing damage that corresponded to the accident did show up in photos. Soulja Boy’s Bentley is currently damage-free, and police believe the rapper had the car repaired on the DL to cover up any incriminating evidence. Police got a warrant, believing they had probable cause to believe the Bentley was involved in the accident, and have since impounded the car. Police would still like more evidence, but it’s amazing the kinds of things they can pull from cameras you didn’t even know were filming your every move. Cue ominous, dramatic music.
Former Grand Slam tennis champion Jennifer Capriati is fighting back against accusations that she got into a fight with her ex-boyfriend Ivan Brannan. Capriati and Brannan allegedly got into an altercation at the Oxygen Health & Fitness Gym in North Palm Beach, Fla., one that may have turned violent. Brannan states that the world’s former top-ranked player stalked and punched him in the chest with her fist before a yoga instructor called the cops. According to initial reports, Capriati fled the scene before the police arrived, but there is a warrant out for her arrest . Her camp denies this is true. A lawyer for Capriati said in a statement: “There is no arrest warrant for Jennifer Capriati. The case between Ms. Capriati and Mr. Ivan Brannan has not yet been assigned in Palm Beach County and has not been reviewed.” “The current facts being circulated by Mr. Brannan are an over exaggeration and the police report is one-sided in Mr. Brannan’s favor since they failed to get Ms. Capriati’s side of the story.” Jennifer Capriati , 36, was inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame last July, but has run into occasional personal problems over the years. Four months after receiving that honor, Brannan sought a restraining order against her, claiming she called his office more than 100 times in a single day.
Chamique Holdsclaw, the ex-WNBA and University of Tennessee basketball star, is currently free on bail, following her arrest this week for allegedly firing a gun at ex-girlfriend Jennifer Lacy . But new, disturbing information has leaked out regarding the incident, courtesy of a 911 call placed by a friend of Lacy’s, who was in the vehicle when the Holdsclaw confrontation took place. This friend describes Holdsclaw as “mentally unstable.” She goes on to tell the operator that the former Rookie of the Year poured gasoline all over Lacy’s Range Rover, presumably to set it on fire. She specifically says that Holdsclaw attempted to “destroy” the car. Holdsclaw fled the scene before she could do so and before authorities arrived. She then turned herself in and is clearly in major trouble.

PORTLAND, Ore. — A car full of people dressed as zombies crashed on Interstate 84 near downtown Portland on Friday, causing initial confusion by people who witnessed the crash. Portland Police said the car was swerving in the eastbound lanes of the freeway just east of the Lloyd District just after 9:30 p.m. when it rolled over and crashed onto its top. Emergency crews took five victims from the crash to area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries. Police said that in their investigation they learned that the people inside the car were dressed as zombie costumes and they were headed to a party at the time of the crash. Sgt. Greg Stewart said people who witnessed the crash initially thought the victims' injuries were much more serious, because of the zombie costumes. “We're glad that everyone is alive, despite being 'undead',” Sgt. Stewart said, referring to the costumes. While everyone in the car was taken to the hospital, Stewart said crews are investigating the possibility that more people were in the car at the time of the crash but fled the scene on foot. The crash halted traffic in the eastbound lanes for about an hour, reducing travel to just one lane. All eastbound lanes were opened at around 11 p.m. added by: punman
