Usher Fires Back at "Vile" Ex-Wife

A judge may have ruled, but the legal battle between Usher and Tameka Foster appears to have no end in sight. Late last month, the singer won primary custody of the two children he shares with Foster, only for his ex-wife to appeal the decision on the grounds that the judge was biased because Usher raised funds for his campaign in 2008. And now Usher has filed a motion in response to that appeal. In documents submitted last Wednesday, the artist urges the court to deny Foster’s request because it is “an assault on the integrity of the court.” He argues that the granting of a new custody trial would create a slippery slope in which all decisions could be a reversed if an attorney contributed to a judge’s campaign. Usher alleges that Foster’s legal maneuvering “constitutes a continuum of [Tameka’s] vile and unsupported claims that every person who dared testify against her … is biased and tainted.” No word from the judge regarding either filing yet, but we have a feeling we have not heard the last from either of these parties. Not by a long shot. [Photo: WENN.com]

Chris Brown Completes Yearlong Domestic Violence Course

Singer posted a picture his course-completion certificate on Twitter. By Jayson Rodriguez Chris Brown Photo: Frazer Harrison/ Getty Images Chris Brown completed his domestic violence course on Monday, and the proud graduate posted a picture of his certificate on Twitter to share with his followers. The singer was sentenced to a domestic violence course in August 2009 after he reached a plea deal with Beverly Hills prosecutors in the wake of his conviction on charges of assault against then girlfriend Rihanna . Brown was required to take the once-a-week class for one year. The “Deuces” star was also sentenced to 180 days of community labor, placed on five years probation and issued a stay-away order from Rihanna. “I have enough self-respect and decency to be proud of accomplishing this DV class,” Brown tweeted on Tuesday morning (December 21) about the end of his sentence. “Boyz run from their mistakes. Men learn from them!!! thx.” Just last month, Brown once again earned praise from the judge overseeing his case, Patricia Schnegg. “Of all probationers I’ve ever had, and I’ve had thousands of probationers, no one has ever done a better or more consistent job than you have,” she told Brown “And I really want to commend you for taking responsibility, and for actually working diligently to complete all of the things the court has required of you.” The singer is due back in court on January 28 for his next status hearing.
