NFL teams with a need in the kicking department? Meet Austin Rehkow. The Central Valley (Wash.) High School Bears senior attempted a 67-yard field goal last night to tie his team’s game at the end of regulation – and made it! Austin Rehkow 67-Yard Field Goal The record-breaking kick sent his team into overtime, where the Bears beat Shadle Park 62-55 in a stingy defensive battle. Good thing CV has the BEST KICKER EVER! Austin Rehkow’s feat sent his teammates into pandemonium and left the Highlanders stunned, while making ESPN’s Top 10 highlights. Well done Austin. Well done. Don’t sign with an agent, man. Big recruiting no-no.

Poor Big Tex. The affable, famous 52-foot State Fair of Texas mascot caught on fire at Fair Park in Dallas this morning. Take a look at the big fella before and after … Wearing size 70 boots and a 75-gallon hat, Big Tex had been an institution since 1952. Alas, he will not make it to see 61. But Tex will rise again! The Mayor of Dallas has apparently promised to resurrect the mascot for 2013: “We’ll rebuild him and make him better than ever for the 21st Century.”

Move over, Mama. Take a seat, Sugar Bear. Quite down for a moment, Honey Boo Boo. Poodle has something to say. Poodle PSA The homosexual uncle of the Thompson family has recorded a PSA in which he opens up about life as a gay man in the south (“People don’t like it,” he says) and details all he’s gone through: “Growing up as a kid, I was bullied day in and day out … broke ribs, dislocated jaw, cars vandalized…” Despite these hardships, though, Poodle has a message of hope for others in a similar situation. “It is okay to be who you are, he says. “Don’t let anybody change that.” Amen, Poodle.

Britney Spears, Jason Trawick Planning "Low-Key" Wedding

Third time’s the charm? Britney Spears only just announced her engagement to Jason Trawick , but she’s already making plans for the big day, according to close family sources. The singer is adamant that it be a much more low-key, traditional affair than her two previous weddings … both of which obviously did not turn out well. Hey, you live and learn right? An insider explains : “She wants a traditional Southern-style wedding with comfort food, surrounded by her family, her two sons and all of her childhood friends.” With the exception of Jason Alexander , we’re guessing. Insisting that she not have a “Hollywood wedding,” Britney “is taking this marriage really seriously.” Given everything she’s gone through, that’s good to hear. Hopefully this is a relationship that really will be forever. After all the celebrity breakups we’ve chronicled in the past year, that would be a refreshing change. [Photo: WENN.com]

Alright, I’ve gone through a boatload of 2011 MTV Video Music Awards pictures from last night and have sorted them out as best I can. Not by the winners and loser, who cares about that, but by cleavage. Here are Kim Kardashian , JWoWW and Demi Lovato dropping some awesome boobage on the red carpet. I don’t know whose cleavage I like the best, they’re all perfect in their own way, it’s a difficult decision.
