Nicki Minaj has some NSFW words for 97.1 FM. The rapper appeared opposite Funk Master Flex on that New York radio station this morning and addressed the beef she has with another station DJ, Peter Rosenberg, that led to her canceling her appearance at the Hot 97 Summer Jam on Sunday. That last-minute decision stemmed from Rosenberg’s remarks to open the concert two days ago, when he introduced the first act by saying: “I know there are some chicks in here waiting to sing along with Starships later. I’m not talking to y’all now. F–k that bulls–t.” Encouraged by Lil Wayne, who was on hand to hear Rosenberg slam his friend, Minaj pulled out of her appearance and says in the interview it was a matter of “respect.” She also says many other naughty words. Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga might soon get killed by Will Smith. Wait… what?!? Men in Black III director Barry Sonnenfeld confirmed in an interview with Collider this week that the music superstars will actually cameo in his upcoming blockbuster, though you’re unlikely to be aware of it as you watch Agents J and K in action. “In this [installment] there are a few people that you’ll see up on the surveillance board, including Lady Gaga, Tim Burton, who probably knows more about aliens than I do, and let’s see who else… Justin Bieber,” Sonnenfeld told the website. “The challenge is getting celebrities that are famous, will give you permission and won’t be like ‘Who’s that guy?’ in 10 years.” In the 2002 sequel to this franchise, Michael Jackson actually played the role of an alien for a brief scene. Lindsay Lohan has just signed on to play Elizabeth Taylor in a Lifetime movie, much to the chagrin of Rosie O’Donnell . The actress is thrilled about the opportunity. In fact, she’s felt a kinship with the late Hollywood legend before. In 2006, at age 19, Lindsay posed as Taylor, who passed away in 2011, for Interview magazine in photos taken by Karl Lagerfeld – including a cover shot. Take a look at the striking resemblance below … The shots are powerful, with Lohan managing to capture much of Taylor’s vulnerability and beauty, traits that helped win her the role in the Lifetime film. Of course, this was before Lindsay Lohan’s plastic surgery and/or hard-partying ways altered her appearance drastically. But that’s neither here nor there. It has not been revealed who will star opposite Lohan as Richard Burton in Liz & Dick , but the 25-year-old actress is heavily insured and raring to go.
Combating critics of her appearance once again, Ashley Judd went off on the sexualization, objectification and hatred of women she perceives in society. Stories about Judd’s puffy face , caused by the medication she had been taking for a sinus infection, gave way to plastic surgery rumors in recent weeks. Rumors that did not sit well with the Missing star, who is assailing critics left and right over this “sad commentary” on our obsession with appearance. “I think it’s hatred of women that invites the criticism,” the actress told NBC. Ashley Judd Interview “I think it’s the objectification of girls and this hypersexualization of our society. It doesn’t have anything to do with me, really, and how I look.” Judd says the reaction to her appearance was as swift as it was negative. “There was no presumption of goodwill,” she says, and that’s what pushed her over the edge. “The conversation went straight to, ‘Oh my gosh.'” Particularly galling, besides the “nasty, vitriolic and gloating tone,” she added, was the speculation that the 43-year-old had plastic surgery. “I started to catch the double bind where, you know, my face looks puffy, ‘She’s had work done,’ you know?” Judd says, noting the irony. “Then, look at the same image in a different interpretation by a separate set of people is, ‘Oh, come on, she doesn’t even have any wrinkles at all, she’s clearly had work.'” “So, I look bad, I’ve had work. I look too good, I’ve had work.” Judd said she decided to address this incident “because the conversation was pointedly nasty, gendered, and misogynistic and embodies what all girls and women in modern culture, to a greater or lesser degree, endure every day.” This happens “in ways both outrageous and subtle,” she says. Lana Del Rey may not have put on the worst musical performance in Saturday Night Live history, but she is definitely living through the worst fallout. Following her appearance on the program (below) a few weeks ago, an email written by NBC anchor Brian Williams was leaked which referred to its as “one of the worst outings” ever on the sketch series, while many celebrities bashed Del Rey on Twitter. Now, sources tell The New York Post that management has decided to cancel a tour Del Rey had lined up to promote her debut album, “Born to Die.” Lana Del Rey SNL Performance “They figure it allows time for her to clear her head, then go back to selling tickets,” an insider says . “More importantly, they figure, the extra time gives them more distance from SNL .” This past Saturday, Kristen Wiig both mocked Del Rey and sort of made fun of those who went over the top in their criticism of the artist. A rep for label Interscope, meanwhile, told The Post : “Interscope had nothing to do with booking or postponing a tour. Jimmy [Iovine] is excited and thankful that Lana is performing at a Grammy event in his honor this week.”
