Dallas Austin Reveals Kim Porter Inspired ‘Drumline’

Source: Johnny Nunez / Getty The late Kim Porter touched more lives than we can imagine and the Hip-Hop world is still in mourning . Producer Dallas Austin paid homage to his childhood friend, and prom date, and offered up some history in the process. “This is the hardest post I’ve ever had to do,” wrote Austin on IG for the caption of their prom photo. “…my mom and Kim’s mom was pregnant with us at the same time in Columbus …I have never known a life without Kim porter from kindergarten through all of our life long experiences in high school, having matching bmws or her being the biggest believer in me making it as a producer and us getting out of Columbus to be somebody ..and we made it!!” It also turns out the Austin and Porter’s relationship is what inspired the film Drumline, which starred Nick Cannon and Zoe Saldana. Say word? Austin added: “we were inseparable I feel like a part of my soul has has been taken away ..most people don’t know that Zoe Saldana played the role of Kim in ‘drumline’ as nick cannon played my character.” Kim Porter was found dead in her home on Thursday (Nov. 15). Her exact cause of death has yet to be determined. Rest in power Kim Porter.

OJ Simpson may or may not be the biological father of Khloe Kardashian . But the connection between this suspected murderer and this very famous family is alive and strong. Kim Kardashian, for example, surprised Snapchat followers over the weekend by showing off a choker on her social media account. What made this choker so interesting? It was given to her mother, Kris Jenner , by Nicole Brown Simpson, the late estranged wife of O.J. who almost definitely died at the bloody hands of her ex-husband. “My mom’s necklace. Gift from Nicole Brown Simpson #1998” Kim captioned a close-up snapshot of the cross pendant. Brown Simpson was on Jenner’s best friends. The two families spent time together and the Kardashians were even featured in the recent TV series The People v O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story on FX. Selma Blair played the role of Kris Jenner, while a number of little girls played the roles of a young Kim, Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian. “I have these vivid memories of an amazing friendship and a life that we all had together,” Jenner told People Magazine earlier this year about Brown Simpson. The relationship between the Jenners and Kardashians has been brought back into the spotlight as a result of the aforementioned FX miniseries. “She was funny, she was beautiful and loyal and passionate and the best mom I had ever met,” Kris added a few months ago of her late pal. David Schwimmer plays the role of Robert Kardashian on the program, giving us a look at the life Kim and company’s real father led. He was a close acquaintance of O.J. until deep into the murder trial, where Robert eventually came to the realization that his friend was totally guilty. Robert and O.J. barely talked after the trial ended and Robert died from cancer years later. Kardashian, meanwhile, displayed the necklace as part of her numerous outfit changes in New York City ahead of Monday night’s Met Gala. Expect her to pull out something pretty crazy tonight for that annual fashion event. She’ll attend with Kanye West and The Hollywood Gossip will bring you every last photo. Zoe Saldana Lands Lead Role In NBC Miniseries “Rosemary’s Baby” Actress Zoe Saldana is joining the likes of Kerry Washington and Gabrielle Union in the land of minority leading ladies after landing the starring female role in an upcoming NBC miniseries titled “Rosemary’s Baby,” which is slated to be an adaptation of the popular 60s novel of the same name. via Deadline Avatar and Star Trek star Zoe Saldana has been tapped as the lead in NBC’s four-hour miniseries Rosemary’s Baby, an adaptation of the 1967 best-selling suspense novel by Ira Levin. The mini centers on Rosemary (Saldana), a young wife and would-be mother who, with her husband, moves into a Paris apartment that has a dark past. After finally getting pregnant, she becomes increasingly suspicious that both her husband and their mysterious neighbors have ulterior motives about the future of her child. Mia Farrow played the role in Roman Polanski’s 1968 feature adaptation. “Zoe has proven that she is one of our most gifted actresses, and we think she has the perfect combination of spirit and gravitas to take on the title role from Ira Levin’s infamous novel,” said NBC’s head of longform Quinn Taylor. Sounds like Ms. Pope has all of these big networks suddenly itching to meet their diversity quotas! Octomom to Keep Her Kids … According to Octomom

Octomom’s 14 children will not be taken away from her because she is a fine mother and doing an exemplary job … according to Nadya Suleman herself. The Orange County Department of Children and Family Services came to her house on Thursday to investigate claims of her children living in putrid squalor. According to Octo, they gave her a “clean bill of health.” Three DCFS workers showed up at Nadya Suleman’s Orange County home, and she says they gave her a rave review … despite the shocking living conditions . Octo told TMZ, “[DCFS] said it’s a very suitable environment for these children.” Even crazier, Octo claims DCFS workers were actually impressed with her parenting skills, saying “They can’t even believe that I can do what I’ve been doing.” You know, we could say the same, though in an entirely different context. Is this woman delusional? They couldn’t possibly have said that, right? Octomom did have a four-person cleaning crew show up prior to DCFS’ arrival, so it’s likely the place was not as bad as when her hairstylist blew the whistle. Still, it’s gotta be a madhouse, and she has no way of supporting a family that size. It’s well established. So should Octomom’s kids be taken away ? [Photo: WENN.com]

Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga to Portray Aliens in Men in Black III

Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga might soon get killed by Will Smith. Wait… what?!? Men in Black III director Barry Sonnenfeld confirmed in an interview with Collider this week that the music superstars will actually cameo in his upcoming blockbuster, though you’re unlikely to be aware of it as you watch Agents J and K in action. “In this [installment] there are a few people that you’ll see up on the surveillance board, including Lady Gaga, Tim Burton, who probably knows more about aliens than I do, and let’s see who else… Justin Bieber,” Sonnenfeld told the website. “The challenge is getting celebrities that are famous, will give you permission and won’t be like ‘Who’s that guy?’ in 10 years.” In the 2002 sequel to this franchise, Michael Jackson actually played the role of an alien for a brief scene. The film comes out on May 25 and you can watch the Men in Black III trailer now. Can you spot Bieber and/or Gaga in it?!?
