When The Checks Stop Coming In: BET’s “The Game” Saying Bye Bye To Tia Mowry And Pooch Hall

Say it ain’t so! Word on the street is that the two actors who once had top billing on “The Game” have been let go: According to a well placed source, HipHollywood.com has learned exclusively that Tia Mowry and Pooch Hall will NOT return to BET’s highest rated show, The Game. It will be interesting to see how the show moves forward from here because their characters Derwin and Melaie are central to The Game’s plot. Our source also added that both are very busy right now, Hall is working on another project, while Mowry is still filming her Style network reality show. The hope is that the two actors will have a chance to come back and end their storyline, but for now all we know is that they won’t be back for season 6. It almost like these two realized BET turned sugar to isht again and left on their own accord. Source

Antonia “Toya” Carter is the latest celebrity to cover an issue of Rolling Out magazine and in it, speaks on motherhood and her new reality show. Toya’s show ‘Toya’s Family Affair’ debuted last week as BET’s highest rated returning series in history with 1.5 million viewers. And according to Toya , the program that goes in depth about her mother’s drug problem and her strained relationship with her previously incarcerated brother is both a gift and a curse. While she enjoys having people relate to her, she’s weary of people who feel like they really know her on a personal level. She tells Rolling Out, “It’s a gift and a curse, but a blessing. People feel like they really, really know you. So you get the weirdos who come up to you, ‘Oh, you looking for love? I can help you with that,’ and ‘Lil Wayne’s crazy’ and this and that. Parks and Recreation’s Chris Pratt on the Hilarious Third Season and the Surprise of Rob Lowe

It was good to be an American last week. After all, not only did Parks and Recreation return to NBC after eight months on the shelf, but people actually watched — the season three premiere was Parks and Recreation ‘s highest rated episode yet. That was great news for everyone, but especially Chris Pratt. As you may have noticed, the premiere featured an extended “previously on” clip package to open the show, highlighting the unrequited love between Pratt’s Andy and Aubrey Plaza’s April. He’s rapidly becoming Pawnee’s answer to Jim Halpert, with 100 percent more flannel.
