The pair linked on the heels of Sevyn’s new “Yernin” single dropped and dished on a few things including letting it slip that Nicki Minaj is going to be on the remix! Sevyn also revealed that plenty of people have slept on her in regards to the record but now that it’s taken off, they all want on. RELATED: Watch Sevyn Streeter Flawlessly Cover Whitney Houston’s ‘I Have Nothing’ RELATED: Sevyn Streeter ft Ty Dolla Sign & Cam Wallace “Fallen” [Audio] On sampling The Gap Band for “Yernin’”: “My Dad literally would play nothing but bomb ass old school music. That was our thing. He would get off from work and put this big camcorder … sit it on his shoulder and that was his thing. I would come downstairs and lip sync to all the oldies. It’s a different level of talent. I love the Gap Band, I don’t know anybody who doesn’t love the Gap Band. It wasn’t hard to get that sample, now they took a nice little chunk ( laughs ) but they deserve that chunk. I didn’t care if they wanted to take the whole pie, I just knew that sample needed to be on that record. I didn’t care, I was just happy they were gracious enough to let me sample it. I love them for that.” On the feel of the record: “I feel I had to get some things off my chest. I felt that it’s a lot of n*ggas I didn’t necessarily have to prove myself to but I had to remind them of some sh*t. I’m appreciative of being a singer-songwriter but it’s not easy. For me it’s like 2 PM, 3 PM to 6 AM 7 AM. I take it so seriously. I respect that craft and for me with this record, I feel there’s a lot of things and attitude that I needed n*ggas to understand. I’m not talking about men specifically but people I think were non-believers. Whether it be an ex in the past who got too comfortable and forgot how great you are or whether it was anything.” As far as dating? Sevyn says she’s in a relationship and is happy knowing that it’s not public! Watch the full interview up top and below. ‘The Game’ Actor Pooch Hall Arrested for DUI, Let 2-Year-Old Drive?

Marion “Pooch” Hall has a whole lot of explaining to do. The actor was arrested on Wednesday night (Oct 3) for DUI but the crazy part is the authorities say he also let his 2-year-old drive.  Hall, who currently appears in Ray Donovan , was spotted basically being the worst father imaginable. Reports TMZ : Law enforcement sources tell TMZ, Hall, who plays Daryll, was driving in Burbank at around 7:30 PM when witnesses called 911 after seeing the toddler in his lap holding the steering wheel.  We’re told the witnesses were horrified to watch the car veer off and smash into a parked car. Thankfully, there were no injuries. One eyewitness tells us he saw the child crying in the front seat. The eyewitness says he looked in the window and the car seat was just laying among the junk in the back seat. It was not installed. We’re told when police came they smelled a strong odor of alcohol and Hall could barely walk. His blood alcohol level … .25 — more than 3 times the legal limit. Hall was arrested and held on $100,000 bond. As for the 2-year-old, he was released into his mother’s custody. Drunk at 7:30pm? Expect someone to be headed to rehab soon. — Photo: WENN.com

Everything Is Racist Now!: Coke Super Bowl Ad Said To Be Racist By Arab-Americans! [Video]

Is this commercial racist, or is everything racist nowadays? NBC Reports: Arab-American groups have sharply criticized a Coca-Cola Super Bowl ad depicting an Arab walking through the desert with a camel, and one group said it would ask the beverage giant to change it before CBS airs the game on Sunday before an expected audience of more than 100 million U.S. viewers. “Why is it that Arabs are always shown as either oil-rich sheiks, terrorists, or belly dancers?” said Warren David, president of the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee, or ADC. Coca-Cola released an online teaser of the commercial last week, showing the Arab walking through a desert. He soon sees cowboys, Las Vegas showgirls and a motley crew fashioned after the marauders of the apocalyptic “Mad Max” film race by him to reach a gigantic bottle of Coke. In its ad, Coke asks viewers to vote online on which characters should win the race. The online site does not allow a vote for the Arab character. “The Coke commercial for the Super Ball is racist, portraying Arabs as backward and foolish Camel Jockeys, and they have no chance to win in the world,” Imam Ali Siddiqui, president of the Muslim Institute for Interfaith Studies, said in an email. “What message is Coke sending with this?” asked Abed Ayoub, ADC’s director of legal and policy affairs. “By not including the Arab in the race, it is clear that the Arab is held to a different standard when compared to the other characters in the commercial,” he said. CBS declined comment. Coca-Cola spokeswoman Lauren Thompson said Coke took a “cinematic” approach with the ad, employing the characters as a nod to movies of the past. “Coca-Cola is an inclusive brand enjoyed by all demographics,” she said in an email. “We illustrate our core values, from fun and refreshment to happiness, inspiration and optimism across all of our marketing communications.” Ayoub said ADC intended to contact Coke and CBS Corp on Thursday to “hopefully start a dialog.” “I want to know why this happened and how can we fix this if possible before Sunday,” he said. The ADC garnered attention back in 1992 when it complained that lyrics in the Walt Disney animated film “Aladdin” were racist. Ronald Goodstein, professor at the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University, said he was surprised by the image as well. “If Coke’s vision is to be an arm’s distance away from every customer, why would they want to offend the Arab world?” said Goodstein. Ayoub said the commercial could harm Coke’s business with the Arab community. “Coke should understand and respect their consumers and have a better understanding of the market they are sharing,” he Ayoub. The company has a large market share in the Middle East and North Africa, he noted, and many convenience stores and other retail outlets in the United States that offer Coke are owned by Arab-Americans.
