E pisode 7, ‘Time For After’ leads into next weeks mid-season finale of The Walking Dead and primarily focuses on our favorite mullet wearing coward Euguene . Eugene and Negan Photo: Gene Page/AMC He is currently in a pickle, he has been tasked by Negan to fix the current dilemma of a shit load of walkers surrounding the Saviors’ compound. If he doesn’ fix the situation a lot of people are going to die and there is no guarantee he won’t be one of them. That’s not the only thing worrying poor Eugene, there is also the issue of learning about Dwight being AHK’s (Alexandria, Hilltop, and Kingdom) mole.  Eugene decides to pay a visit to Dwight trying to convince him to stop his quest to bring down the Negan and the Sanctuary. He tells Dwight he won’t snitch on him if he ceases his plan but Dwight was like…   Dwight is not about to stop cause he can smell Negan’s death coming and it’s something he’s been dreaming about for a very long time. Dwight does his best to try and convince Eugene to just sit on his hands and shut off his big brain and let the Sanctuary and Negan meet their doom. Eugene isn’t trying to hear it and tells Dwight that he is Savior and the mission is to save people. Dwight wasn’t the only person trying to get Dwight to do the right thing. Eugene also has a conversation with a very ill Father Gabriel , Negan’s drunk concubine Tanya and the doctor Harlen . Eugene and Father Gabriel Photo: Gene Page/AMC They all failed miserably, of course, we even see side of Euegen we have never seen before when he angrily tells Father Gabriel he is with Negan. Eugene puts his big brain to use after he finds the iPod he gave to Sasha in the casket she died and turned into a walker in. He creates a glider out of a kite and attaches the iPod and a speaker to blast out the music. The plan is to fly the glider over the herd of walkers to grab their attention and lure them away from the sanctuary. Before he can do that Dwight shows up to stop him. Dwight tells Eugene that if even attempts to go through with his plan he will shoot him. Eugene must have a grew a pair at this moment cause he sent the glider off. BUT instead of shooting him, Dwight decides to take out the glider instead and vanishes. Eugene has his chance to snitch on Dwight to Negan, but he clams up maybe because Dwight was there to scare him into not telling on him. Also at the same moment, Daryl , Michonne , Tara , Rosita , Morgan and other members are about to mess up Rick’s plans. Continued On The Next Page

The Walking Dead Season 7 Episode 11 Recap: I Am Negan

If you were wondering what the heck Eugene was getting up to at the Sanctuary, tonight’s episode was the one you were looking for.  Going up against the 89th Annual Academy Awards is no easy task, but The Walking Dead is one of the only shows that can do so with minimal effect on its ratings.  When The Walking Dead Season 7 Episode 11 got underway, Eugene had just arrived at his new home: The Sanctuary.  He was the same pathetic man who has been present on the hit AMC series since Season 4. He cowered at the very thought of Negan addressing him.  He was led to his new home by one of Negan’s female associates. He opened a door and prepared to die, but he was given a bedroom, complete with cooking facilities and video games.  If you watch The Walking Dead online , you will already know that Negan is not the type of person to extend an olive branch. In fact, he’s the kind of guy who would bash your brains out without a second thought.  Eugene quickly learned that he was no a prisoner and was offered everything under the sun, but his request of lobster for his meal was declined.  Seriously, where would you get lobster when the world has turned to crap? Negan offered up his wives to Eugene to help make him feel more at ease.  However, the boss man warned the new addition to the team that there would be zero sexual activity between him and the wives.  At the dinner party, Eugene was playing Pac-Man, but Frankie was not impressed with the events and opted to get drunk on the bed.  The other two wives looked embarrassed, but you could tell they wanted to learn things from Eugene. That paved the way for Eugene to create a fake bomb.  Some time later, two of the wives reappeared and ordered Eugene to create a pill to kill Frankie because she could not deal with her life. Eugene battled with what it would mean to kill someone, but he eventually decided to help them out.  This involved causing a scene to get medication. He immediately began to realize how much Negan valued him, so he skipped a lengthy line and threatened the woman to let him take what he wanted.  The woman scoffed at him, but she changed her stance when she realized he was there on Negan’s orders and she let him take whatever he wanted from her.  View Slideshow: 24 Shocking TV Deaths It just goes to show how people change when they get a sniff of power. Eugene was doing everything he could to rise up the ranks. Hey, he’s in a better situation with Negan than he ever was with Rick, so it all makes sense.  While all of this drama was going down, Dwight went on a mission to bring Sherry back to the Sanctuary. Negan blamed her for letting Daryl escape.  Dwight arrived at the home he once lived in with Sherry, but all he found was a tragic note.. The note said that she did not like what she turned Dwight into.  She moved on with her life and hoped that Dwight would be able to do the same.  Dwight returned to the Sanctuary and claimed that he murdered Sherry in cold blood, but said that she was not the one who let Daryl out.  Plot twist: She did, but Dwight decided to take the Doctor out of the equation. He slipped Sherry’s signature into his drawer as though she had sent the doctor a parting letter.  Negan quickly dispatched of the doctor because he had a new one in Eugene.  Eugene then turned to the wives and told him there was no way he would hand over the lethal pills because he knew they were using them on Negan.  Later, Negan appeared and told him not to be scared; he was one of them. Eugene then revealed that he has always been Negan, but wanted to meet him to confirm that.  Pretty crazy. Right?! What will Rick and his group say when they find out about this betrayal? R.I.P. David R. Ellis: ‘Snakes On A Plane’ Director, Action Vet Dead At 60

Director David R. Ellis has died, reports Deadline , on the cusp of production for his next film, the live-action anime adaptation,  Kite . The actor, turned stuntman, turned second unit whiz, turned feature director, who made his directorial debut with 1996’s Homeward Bound 2 , before finding his niche with crowd-pleasing genre fare from Final Destination 2 to Snakes on a Plane and last year’s Shark Night 3D , was 60 years old at the time of his death. Ellis may have specialized in studio B-movies as a director (he also helmed Cellular , Asylum , and The Final Destination ), but he established an extensive body of second unit work on other filmmakers’ movies, including The Matrix Reloaded , Waterworld , Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone , The Perfect Storm , Master and Commander , and the upcoming 47 Ronin and R.I.P.D. Prior to his directing work, Ellis racked up an impressive filmography as a stunt player, with credits running the gamut including Smokey and the Bandit , Lethal Weapon , Road House , and the motorcycle stunts in Game of Death . Last year at Comic-Con, Movieline caught up with Ellis on the Shark Night 3D promo tour where he played a round of My Favorite Scene. ” The Birds !” Ellis said, picking the classic Hitchcock moment – coincidentally, one riffing on the creature horror theme. “The birds attacking Tippi Hedren is a great scene.” Cause of death is unknown; read more on Ellis’s passing here . I just love the fact that the same filmmaker gave us both of these cinematic gifts in one career. R.I.P. [ Deadline ] Follow Jen Yamato on Twitter . Follow Movieline on Twitter .

WATCH: Shticky Red Band Trailer For Vince Offer’s ‘InAPPropriate Comedy’ Is All Sham & No Wow

I realize that with a little notoriety and a lot of money, it’s fairly easy to get a film made and distributed. But even knowing that, it’s still incredibly baffling to see the red band trailer for InAPPropriate Comedy and realize this is an actual movie that will play in theaters. Directed by Vince ‘Slap Chop’ Offer, it’s The Kentucky Fried Movie meets the Charlie Sheen  celebrity roast, and it looks every bit as terrible as his earlier Underground Comedy Movie . Only with the added discomfort of seeing Lindsay Lohan sully the last shreds of her reputation for what must surely have been a miniscule paycheck. Have a look: Considering Offer’s previous law-enforcement troubles involving a prostitute ,  it’s no wonder he was able to get a bunch of actors to whore themselves, but even so, it’s embarrassing to see Master of Style Adrien Brody debasing his career shilling razors to appear in this dreck. (Insert ShamWow or Schticky joke here.) The worst thing about this isn’t the constant barrage of racist and sexist ‘jokes’ or hackneyed references, it’s how friggin’ tame this thing looks. Titling this movie ‘InAPPropriate Comedy’ is kind of like how authoritarian dictatorships always insist that their countries be called ‘People’s Democratic Republics’. The only thing Asians will be offended by is how lazy the jokes about their eyes are. The good news is that no matter how bad it is, we’ll always have the Slap Chop song. So let’s watch that and remember a time when Vince could amuse us on an 11 th grade level, instead of a 3 rd grade level. Soderbergh’s Liberace Pic ‘Behind The Candelabra’: What’s ‘Too Gay’ for Hollywood?

Steven Soderbergh has pushed against the limits of Hollywood’s sexual mores his entire career. His debut, sex, lies, and videotape , was a study in voyeurism and sexual dysfunction. He blurred the line dividing the feature film and porn video worlds with The Girlfriend Experience , which starred adult actress Sasha Grey. His last film, Magic Mike , subverted the male gaze by turning all eyes, male and female, on the rock-hard and very hairless abs of dude-strippers. Yet even Soderbergh has had trouble financing his next and rumored-to-be-last project, Behind the Candelabra , a biopic of Liberace starring Michael Douglas as the flamboyant pianist and Matt Damon as his significantly younger live-in lover. The veteran director only wanted $5 million to make his long-delayed film, but, as he told The Wrap , “They said it was too gay. Everybody. This was after Brokeback Mountain , by the way. Which is not as funny as this movie. I was stunned. It made no sense to any of us.” Luckily for Soderbergh, HBO believed enough in the project to greenlight it. But that still leaves the question: What does “too gay” mean in the Hollywood of 2013? Sadly, it doesn’t seem too different from what it meant fifty years ago in the Hollywood of 1963: Few gay protagonists can be normal, relatable people living in a world we recognize. In the real world, gay men and women are our friends, family, neighbors, and co-workers. But in the movies, that might be “too gay.” So screenwriters have come up with a multitude of ways to make homosexuality less immediate and less “threatening.” When they are the protagonists, gay characters vanish from everyday life: by dying, by disappearing into history, by rarely having sex, by committing evil, by being more flamboyant than pink rhinestones on a drag queen’s tiara. They may be admirable, certainly sympathizable, but they still too frequently lack ordinary humanity. The supposed breakthrough film Brokeback Mountain , for instance, marginalized homosexuality by situating its characters in a faraway setting and in a culture that was on the cusp of disappearance. And it fatally asserted its heterosexuality by having straight actors play gay, so that audiences never forget that a man kissing another man is all just play-acting. Little seems to have changed since Brokeback . The majority of studio movies with a gay male protagonist since has either taken place in Mad Men days ( Milk , Howl , A Single Man ) or featured same-sex sociopaths ( I Love You Philip Morris , Bruno ). It’s no better for lesbians, who watched one of their filmic counterparts in The Kids Are All Right have sex with a man, because of course that’s exactly what the female gay experience is all about. Equally alien to the lives of average gay women is the romance Jack and Diane , which finds one of its two budding lovers turning into a werewolf. And, it bears repeating, all of the main characters in these movies are played by straight actors. Luckily for gay viewers, the indie world is brimming with movies that are “too gay” and proud of it. The last two years alone have seen critical darlings like the sweet romance Weekend , the addiction drama Keep the Lights On , and the gay adoption saga Any Day Now . Also welcome and necessary are the coming-of-age tale Pariah and the Sex and the City -style Noah’s Arc , which feature all-too-rare gay characters of color. It’s almost surprising that Soderbergh’s biopic got the “too gay” chuck, since the subject matter – a mincing narcissist with a love of glittered capes and a barely legal pool-boy dying tragically from AIDS – is brimming with the usual defenses Hollywood is always eager to employ against normal gay existence. So one has to wonder if it isn’t the flamboyance that studios found “too gay,” but Soderbergh’s refusal to turn Liberace and his partner Scott Thorson into caricatures, to “take the relationship seriously.” After all, that might be too revolutionary for Hollywood. Joseph Gordon-Levitt Joins ‘Sin City: A Dame To Kill For’

Introducing the possibility that the upcoming Sin City: A Dame To Kill For will feature an extremely hip soundtrack packed full of adorkable DIY indie rock classics, Dimension Films announced today that Joseph Gordon-Levitt has been signed on to play a major role in the sequel to the 2005 film adaptation of Sin City . Levitt will play a new character called ‘Johnny,’ whose relation to the events of the story has not yet been revealed, but who will no doubt be both sensitive and hardcore. Per press release, Johnny is “a cocky gambler who disguises a darker mission to destroy his most foul enemy at his best game.” Presumably, Johnny will be forced to decide by the film’s end whether or not to betray, cry, or kill himself over a girl. A Dame To Kill For , the second storyline in the Sin City series, features the first appearance of Sin City’s (arguable) main character Dwight McCarthy, portrayed by Clive Owen in the 2005 film. It takes place chronologically before the events of the first storyline, The Hard Goodbye , which made up a considerable chunk of Sin City , and features a team up between Dwight and Marv, played by Mickey Rourke. The film is already in production under co-directors Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller at Rodriguez’s Troublemaker Studios, and “weaves together two of Miller’s classic stories with new tales in which the town’s most hard boiled citizens cross paths with some of its more repulsive inhabitants.” Sin City: A Dame To Kill For will feature the return of Mickey Rourke, Rosario Dawson and Jessica Alba; as it takes place before Dwight has reconstructive surgery, it’s possible that if Clive Owen reprises his role, it will only be at the end of the film. Gordon-Levitt joins fellow new additions Jamie King, Michael Madsen and Dennis Haysbert; the film is set for release on October 4, 2013.
