Amber Rose sure moves fast, huh? Remember how yesterday we heard that she and Val Chmerkovskiy had broken up? After several months of dating, and after they spoke so fondly of each other just a couple of weeks ago, reports surfaced that they were over . So far, we don’t have a real reason for the split, but it seems amicable enough — both Val and Amber have left all their sweet photos up on their social media accounts. Though Val has been sending out some cryptic tweets that may or may not be about Amber. On Friday night, he tweeted “If you’re ready, it’s too late,” which means … something, we’re sure. And last night, he tweeted that “crying with laughter” emoji without context, which seems a little shady. But after checking in on what Amber got up to last night, it looks like perhaps there was a bit of context. Because last night, Amber attended the Clive Davis Pre-Grammy Gala with her ex-husband, Wiz Khalifa. And they looked pretty darn friendly. Not only did they walk the red carpet together, but they also kissed each other. On the lips. In front of cameras. Is it normal to just casually kiss your ex-husband, the father of your child? Totally platonic, no romantic feelings whatsoever, just a little kiss? A kiss that was described by people witnessed it as lasting at least seven seconds? It’s hard to say, but we’re going to go ahead and go with “nah.” Another interesting thing about her little outing with Wiz is that giant ring on her left hand. See it up there? It really is huge, isn’t it? It’s a gemstone surrounded by diamonds — it’s not her original engagement ring from Wiz, but could it be another engagement ring? Sure, why not? Amber and Wiz might not be re-engaged, but it wouldn’t be surprising at all if they’re back together. When their divorce was finalized last year, they went out to a strip club together . Afterwards, Amber tweeted “Too much fun with my Ex hubby last night & no we didn’t celebrate our divorce we celebrated our love 4 each other cuz that never goes away.” She’s also said that “Wiz will always be my best friend, forever ,” and that “He’s the love of my life, that’ll never, ever go away. But it just couldn’t work out that way.” She added — and this is the real kicker — that “Maybe in a couple years we’ll get back together and have some more babies.” So hey, maybe they’re just running a little ahead of schedule, Val Chmerkovskiy be damned? It’s certainly beginning to look that way.
Were you able to catch Saturday Night Live last night? If not, then boy, you sure are in for a treat right now … This current season of SNL has gotten a whole lot of mileage out of Donald Trump and all of his countless atrocities, including the people he's hired to work in the White House. And one of those people is the utterly ridiculous Kellyanne Conway , played on the show by the extremely lovely, very hilarious Kate McKinnon. But last night, there was a Fatal Attraction-esque skit featuring McKinnon's Kellyanne. And according to some people, it went way too far. In the skit, CNN's Jake Tapper went home to his apartment to find Kellyanne, looking mighty unhinged in some lingerie. Poor Kellyanne was just so very, very desperate for Jake to put her back on the news, even after that “little ethics violation” that occurred when she tried to sell Ivanka Trump's clothing during an interview. So desperate that, at one point, she held a knife to his throat. It was pretty intense, but also pretty funny. But a lot of viewers didn't see it that way. As one person tweeted, “SNL just gave a gift to the White House with this sexist, unfunny Kellyanne Conway skit.” Another wrote “As much as I loathe Kellyanne, this highly sexualized SNL version of her gives me the icks.” Was the skit funny? Frank Ocean is a national treasure. So talented. So beautiful. But while we adore Frank, it seems that he does not feel the same way about the Grammy Awards. Not even a little bit. See, back in 2013, he performed at the Grammys . There were some issues with the performance — it was a live show on a huge scale, after all. And that’s fine, it happens. But for some petty reason, a couple of producers from the awards show decided to run their mouths about it, four years later. “We executed his vision knowing that it was faulty ,” a producer named Ken Ehrilch told Rolling Stone in a new interview. “And we tried to tell him that, we tried to tell his management that, we tried to tell the record label that.” Ken called Frank’s performance “rigid” and “faulty,” and that it was “not great TV,” and that the reason he hasn’t been involved with the Grammys in the years since is because he was upset about it. And, well, Frank heard about the interview. And he didn’t appreciate it. In fact, he felt strongly enough to address it in all all-caps rant on Tumblr. “OK Ken (and David),” he began, David being the other producer that talked trash. “As much as I hate to make you guys famous or even to respond to you directly. We all die one day and you’re old so f-ck it.” “Yea yeah my 2013 performance at the Grammys was absolute sh-t. Technical difficulties, blah blah. Thanks for the reminder. Very much appreciated.” “F-ck that performance though,” he continued. “You think that’s why I kept my work out of the Grammy process this year? Don’t you think I would’ve wanted to play the show to ‘redeem’ myself if I felt that way?” It’s a fair point, but Frank hasn’t even hit his stride yet. “In reality,” he wrote, “I actually wanted to participate in honoring Prince on the show but then I figured my best tribute to that man’s legacy would be to continue to by myself out here and to be successful.” “Winning a TV award doesn’t christen my successful. It took my some time to learn that. I bought all my masters back last year in the prime of my career, that’s successful.” “‘Blonde’ sold a million plus without a label, that’s successful. I am young, black, gifted and independent.. that’s my tribute.” OK, and now we’re about to get into the Taylor Swift shade … Frank said that “I’ve actually been tuning into CBS around this time of year for a while to see who gets the top honor and you know what’s really not ‘great TV’ guys?” “1989 getting album of the year over To Pimp a Butterfly. Hands down one of the most ‘faulty’ TV moments I’ve seen.” He’s referring, of course, to Taylor’s last album, 1989, and how it beat out Kendrick Lamar’s amazing To Pimp a Butterfly for the Album of the Year Grammy. “Believe the people,” he advised the Grammy producers. “Believe the ones who’d rather watch select performances from your program on YouTube the day after because your show puts them to sleep.” “Use the old gramophone to actually listen bro,” he went on. “I’m one of the best alive. And if you’re up for a discussion about the cultural bias and general nerve damage the show you produce suffers from then I’m all for it.” “Have a good night.” And, well, he’s not wrong. About any of it. Taylor’s album sold extremely well, and it was fun and catchy, but Kendrick Lamar definitely had the better album. Just like, all those years ago, Beyonce had the better music video . It’s a good thing Taylor doesn’t have a new album this year — we have a feeling we know who’d be getting the pointed, misguided speech this year. Just days after he was forced to retire due to health issues, legendary jazz singer Al Jarreau died at a hospital in Los Angeles on Sunday. He was 76 years old. According to reports, Al Jarreau was forced into retirement, at least from touring if not from music altogether, due to serious exhaustion. The seven-time Grammy Award winner’s manager, Joe Gordon, released a statement late this afternoon, on the eve of the Grammys. Gordon said, no doubt with a very heavy heart: “Al Jarreau passed away this morning .” He died “about 5:30am L.A. time.” “[Jarreau] was in the hospital, kept comfortable by [his son] Ryan, [his wife] Susan and a few of his family and friends.” “Ryan and Susan will hold a small, private service at home, for immediate family only. No public service is planned yet.” News of his death comes five days after Jarreau announced in a post on his website that he was retiring from touring “due to exhaustion.” Jarreau’s medical team advised him not to perform his remaining 2017 tour dates, effectively putting his touring career on hold indefinitely. Al had been hospitalized in L.A., where he had been “receiving excellent medical care, responding to treatments and improving slowly.” “Therefore, with complete sorrow, Al Jarreau must retire from touring,” effective immediately, the statement on his website read. “He is thankful for his 50 years of traveling the world in ministry through music, and for everyone who shared this with him. Jarreau went on to give thanks for “his faithful audience, the dedicated musicians and so many others who supported his effort.” The versatile singer was famously the first vocalist in music history to receive Grammy Awards in three separate categories. He took home Grammys in jazz, pop and R&B. Over a long and distinguished career spanning decades, he was perhaps best known for the 1981 hit “We’re in This Love Together.” He also performed the theme song from the ’80s TV series Moonlighting , which starred Cybill Shepherd and Bruce Willis. Joy Villa made quite a fashion statement on the red carpet of the 2017 Grammy Awards. By showing a lot of skin? By going with a bold color? By choosing an unusual hairstyle? Nope, nope and nope. The singer/songwriter did so by wearing a red, white and blue dress that has “Make America Great Again” written on the front and “TRUMP” written along the back. As you might expect, the outfit earned Villa a great deal of derision on social media, with one Twitter user noting: “Someone who calls herself a feminist in her Twitter bio is wearing a Make America Great Again dress to the Grammys.” Judge the ensemble for yourself via the following photo gallery: 1. We're very sorry, Lamar Odom. We know how badly you want Khloe Kardashian back . But the reality star just made a rather major change to her life that we're pretty sure entails your dream will never become a reality. Based on her Snapchat stream and that of sister Kim Kardashian , Khloe has officially dropped Lamar's last name from her own name. She's now back to being just Khloe Kardashian. And her family helped the star celebrate… in delicious fashon! “You guys, look what Khloé’s assistants got for her because she got a new passport without her old last name. It’s her new last name,” Kim said in a Snapchat video about the cake, which had “Happy Name Change!” written at the bottom in frosting. “It’s a good day!” Khloé is overheard saying in another video of the sake. For her, at least. Khloe, of course, is involved in a serious romance with basketball player Tristan Thompson. Odom, meanwhile, is recovering from the effects of a serious overdose in October of 2015 and is trying to get his life back in order. Lala Kent’s departure from Vanderpump Rules has felt more than a little anti-climactic. Lala quit the show back in August, while season five was still filming and thus far, the show hasn’t addressed her absence in any concrete way. We’re told she’ll come back for a final send-off, but at this point, viewers (and the show’s storylines) have already moved on. Anyway, there are many theories as to why Lala left the series so abruptly, but most of them have to do with her mystery boyfriend . Lala is allegedly dating an older, married sugar daddy type (social media seems convinced that it’s Hollywood producer Randall Emmett, but that has yet to be confirmed), and she’s made no secret of the fact that she was not happy with inquiries into her love life from co-stars and fans. (Pro tip: If you want to keep your relationship a secret, don’t go on a reality show that’s almost entirely focused on the personal lives of its cast.) Now that Lala is no longer on the show, she’s probably washed her hands of the of the castmates who either pretended to like her (Tom Sandoval and Ariana) or openly despised her (everyone else), right? Wrong-o! She’s still throwing shade, but now she’s doing it on a podcast hosted by Sammi Giancola from Jersey Shore, which sounds like a joke about life on the Z-list but is instead something that actually happened. Naturally, Lala opened up about her feelings on Stassi and company, telling Giancola that the other girls on the show retroactively used her bullying of Katie as an excuse to be mean: “I feel like this season they tried to make it look like they were coming at me because of the way I spoke to Katie, but they were mean to me last season the second I walked into SUR,” Lala says. “So it’s not adding up, what they’re saying. I’ve apologized a million and one times.” She goes on to say that she wants nothing to do with their clique, which is only something you say when you very badly want to be part of someone’s clique: “I don’t wanna be a part of their clique,” she says. “You have to know that in L.A., yeah it’s cool to be a part of the show – whatever – but, out here, if I were really rolling around with those girls, like in real life no cameras around – it’s such a bad look.” She adds: “They think they’re Kardashians! The way that they talk and the way they act, you would think we’re the biggest reality television cast in all of history.” As for that infamous non-disclosure agreement that Lala rather sketchily asked her friends to sign, she claims it had nothing to do with her alleged relationship with Emmett, and everything to do with James Kennedy’s sketchiness: “James wasn’t even at [the music festival] with me,” Lala clarifies. “He was given a NDA because he sometimes likes to film me while I’m stoned, or whatever it may be, and I would like to know what’s being put on the internet, because we all know that he doesn’t have a filter. Tom and Ariana really did go to [music festival] with me and they were never given any agreement.” Speaking of James, Lala has apparently seen the light, as she says she and DJ Slytherin are no longer friends: “I’ve chosen to remove myself,” she says. “James will always be James. I slowly started seeing why people don’t connect with him and why he rubs people the wrong way.” She adds: “But if his girlfriend wants to be one of those brainless people, then that’s her prerogative; if she wants to turn the other cheek, then you go girl. Whatever you want to believe.” That’s a bit like listening to people who are just now realizing that they shouldn’t have voted for a cartoon rich guy from the ’80s to be president, but hey, at least it’s a step in the right direction. OK, so we know that the ladies from Teen Mom have to make bank, right? After all, how else would they be able to pay for all those expensive houses, not to mention all those divorces ? But while we have to assume that the moms rake in a large amount of money for their contributions to reality television , their salaries have always been sort of a mystery. So let's all put on our Nancy Drew hats and get to sleuthing … Let's see if we can figure out exactly what being a televised teen mom has gotten these girls. 1. Jenelle Evans In 2015, Jenelle claimed that she’d earned “a little bit over maybe half” a million dollars while filming Teen Mom 2, but she added that “I’m really not allowed to discuss it.” Another report has claimed that, at one point, Jenelle was making $75,000 a year, plus lots of gift cards, though we have heard that the moms’ salaries keep increasing with the show’s popularity. Add in all the money she gets from her various endorsements, and no wonder she was able to afford all that land out in the country! 2. Chelsea Houska One of Adam Lind’s favorite hobbies is to discuss how much he and Chelsea Houska have made while filming the show. At one point, he claimed that she brought in $250,000 for season six, and that her contract would go up to at least $300,000 for later seasons. It makes sense — of course you’d give the best Teen Mom the best Teen Mom money. 3. Maci Bookout Maci Bookout wrote in her 2015 memoir that while “reality TV can make you very famous,” there’s not whole lot of money in it, and that her life isn’t that different than it would have been without the show. Though she does live very comfortably in a house that’s worth hundreds of thousands of dollars, so we’d guess that she’s doing all right. 4. Amber Portwood All the way back in 2011, it was revealed that Amber Portwood made a whopping $280,000 a year. In the years since, her salary has reportedly doubled. 5. Catelynn Lowell We don’t have an exact number for Catelynn, but we have heard that she and Tyler have both bought new cars for their mothers. And don’t forget, Catelynn also has struggled with a pretty heavy marijuana habit, which, you know, isn’t free. 6. Kailyn Lowry In 2013, it was reported that Kailyn makes $75,000 per season, plus a $20,000 bonus. Back then, Kailyn wasn’t the mess she is now, so it’s likely her salary has gone up significantly — we’d guess she’s making around the same $300,000 that Chelsea is said to be making. Well, it looks like twins are the hot new celebrity trend for 2017! Just days after the world learned that Beyonce is pregnant with not one but two future music icons, People magazine is confirming that George and Amal Clooney are expecting a couple special deliveries of their own. The magazine is reporting today that “multiple sources” have confirmed Amal is expecting twins. The Clooneys have yet to comment themselves, but People isn’t Star magazine, and they wouldn’t put something like this out there without sufficient confirmation. Apparently, insiders revealed that George and Amal have both shared the news with their families and are preparing a public announcement for sometime in the days to come. “They’re all very happy,” says one source. George and Amal married in 2014 after what we believe was just over a year of dating. (They’re notoriously private about their relationship.) The couple’s engagement came as a shock to fans, due to George’s reputation as the archetypal Hollywood bachelor. (In fact, he’s been married once before, so that image was never entirely accurate.) Despite the fact that she’s remained committed to her challenging and time-consuming career as a human rights attorney, rumors that Amal was pregnant began circulating pretty much from the time the Clooneys got hitched. Now, it looks as though both George and Amal will be getting a crash course in parenting. George has addressed the possibility of fatherhood in the past but always seemed to remain guarded on the topic: “All I know is that it sort of changed everything in terms of what I thought my future – my future personal future – was going to be,” he told People shortly after his wedding. “I’ve always been an optimist about the world. I wasn’t always completely optimistic about how it was going to work out personally for me. But now I am.” Speaking more specifically about the idea of fatherhood after receiving the magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive title for the second time, Clooney said: “I think it’s the most responsible thing you can do, to have kids. It’s not something to be taken lightly.” He added: “I don’t have that gene that people have to replicate. But everything in my life has changed over time.” Congrats to the happy couple.
