Nick Viall has officially reached the hometown dates, with his final four ladies exactly who The Bachelor spoilers told us they would be. No one saw this blast from the past coming, though … In a sneak peek at Monday night’s episode, we see the man of the hour travel across the country to meet the parents of his top four. One of whom we know for a fact will be eliminated. That's because Rachel Lindsay is The Bachelorette , as ABC surprisingly announced before she was even cut loose from The Bachelor. Will it be the hometown date that is her last? “Have you ever dated a black girl?” Rachel’s mother asks the 36-year-old during their sit-down chat. “What is your intention with her?” “I just can’t give you my blessing,” the dad of one of the women tells The Bachelor , in a blunt but frankly refreshing display of caution. Yeah. No one said hometowns were easy. In addition to being grilled by various moms and dads, and Corinne’s nanny for that matter, he has to grapple with his own feelings. Oh, and also Ms. Andi Dorfman. The Bachelorette star, and the first of many women Nick has romanced in hos nearly three years as a franchise staple, is back, baby. Why? Ratings, we're guessing. “Hello Nick,” says Dorfman, who chose Josh Murray over Viall on The Bachelorette finale in 2014, as the door to his hotel room opens. It remains to be seen what motive Andi would possibly have for flying in to confront Nick at this point in their lives, but hey. Good TV. For us. He does not look happy. Check out the sneak peek below and see what you think – and tell us whether Corinne, Raven Gates or Vanessa Grimaldi should win.
Valentine's Day is an occasion for chocolate, flowers and bubble baths. In an ideal universe. In reality, however, Valentine's Day is often an occasion for attempts at chocolate, flowers and bubble baths, among other romantic gestures. Fortunately, when these gestures go awry, Twitter is around with hashtags such as “#MyValentinesRemorse” to make us feel better about all those times we royally screwed up on February 14. To wit… 1. No Regrets! We bet those nuggets tasted great. And we also bet he still totally had sex with you. 2. It’s Not?!? This is good to know for future reference. 3. Valentine’s Day Remorse? More like Valentine’s Day Goals, are we right?!? 4. OOPS! For President’s Day, we’re guessing his wife is getting him divorce papers. 5. Hey, No Judgment Here! Just add nuggets to the evening and you’re set. 6. Only 8 Hours of Sleep? The struggle is real. View Slideshow
By now you’ve heard The Bachelor spoilers : Rachel Lindsay is The Bachelorette, despite still being in contention for Nick Viall’s heart. On TV, that is. She’s been eliminated by this point, as filming has concluded. We’re just learning about it ahead of time … from ABC. Therein lies the true “historic” nature of this announcement. Yes, Rachel Lindsay is the first African-American lead in 34 seasons of the reality franchise. That is significant and a very good thing. Giving away the fact that Rachel, a popular contestant this season, is not The Bachelor winner is a surprising and controversial decision. Rachel is still competing on the show, and will go on a hometown date (as will Corinne Olympios, Raven Gates and Vanessa Grimaldi). You can follow the links above to find out, but the assumption that Nick eliminates her after the hometown date isn’t necessarily true. It wouldn’t make a lot of sense if she made the finale now, but she could easily make it to the subsequent overnights following hometowns. For obvious reasons, the next star of The Bachelor or The Bachelorette has never been announced during the current season they’re on. As a result, Chris Harrison has apologized for this spoiler … one most likely necessitated or inspired by The Bachelor spoilers themselves. The third- or fourth-place finisher going on to be the next lead of the franchise is not abnormal. Finding out about it right now definitely is. If you’re hoping for a detailed, truthful answer to why the show’s brain trust went this route, you’re not gonna get it this week, anyway. “I hate that anything was ruined for #BachelorNation but I’m incredibly excited that @therachlindsay is our new #Bachelorette,” Harrison wrote. Notably absent? Any explanation of why. Entertainment Tonight reports that The Bachelorette will begin production sooner than usual, right after Nick’s season wraps on March 13. Producers need to start the process of casting suitors for Lindsay as soon as possible, and need additional time to generate interest? The producers did do this with Emily Maynard, who wasn’t on The Bachelor that season, as a means of getting applicants / fans excited. Perhaps the fact that Rachel has less of a social media presence than Corinne, Raven or others played a role in their decision to spill? Or, maybe it’s as simple as Chris, Mike Fleiss and their associates wanting to get ahead of the story and control it from the beginning. Every season, it’s spoiled. Just not by them. Rachel Lindsay has a fan base, one that is likely to grow in the period between the announcement and when she’s eliminated by Nick. Now that we know she’s The Bachelorette , the producers can craft what we see on and off the show accordingly to boost her popularity. Moreover, it avoids any disappointment by Bachelor fans who might be hoping for Raven or Vanessa to get the job (or Corinne, LOL). Dragging it out increases the possibility of spoilers, rumors and confusion taking away from Rachel’s announcement tour. No longer. As for whether the viewing audience will accept a black Bachelorette , and rumors that this had something to do with the early unveiling? We don’t see it. View Slideshow: Rachel Lindsay: The Bachelorette! This is a show that has survived since the early 2000s because of its format, not necessarily based on the strength of any one lead. Some leads are more controversial than others (Nick). Others (cough, Juan Pablo Galavis) have even gone onto be universally despised. Still, The Bachelor and Bachelorette soldier on, and by and large, the biggest stars of both genders are more popular with fans than not. Rachel will be no exception. As Harrison put it, she’s “a smart, strong, independent Texan who loves her @dallascowboys. What more could a man want?” Get to know her more via the gallery below and tell us what you think of ABC’s decision to cast her – and do so in unorthodox fashion … View Slideshow: Rachel Lindsay: Get to Know The Bachelorette!
Kendall Jenner was a guest on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon last night. Prior to joining the host for a game of Charades, the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star sat down for an interview with the host, in which they discussed Donald Trump's immigration ban, the future of the Supreme Court and the challenges of climate change. Just kidding. Jenner and Fallon mostly talked about fashion and Kendall's life as a model. “It’s really, really fun,” she said of being involved i New York Fashion Week, which is taking place as we type. Added Kendall: “I forgot how fun it is. You work all day, and then people say, ‘let’s go out.’ There’s no sleeping.” Fallon then congratulated the young star on achieving her dreams of becoming a model, to which Kendall replied: “I can thank my parents for that. It really is a dream come true. It’s really awesome, the last three years have been awesome.” But what does Kendall do when she sees Kris Jenner in the front row of a fashion show? Or Kim Kardashian ? Or Kylie Jenner? Does she give them a subtle shout-out while she models a new design? Not quite. “I never look at the audience, ever,” she told Fallon, explaining: “If I do, it’ll mess me up. It’s kind of like being on stage I guess, if you’re a theater actor, if you look at something to take you out of your zone. “Kylie, sometimes, if she’s at a show, her and my mom usually, I can hear them screaming. I can never look at them.” Watch Kendall go into more depth about her career with Fallon below:
You’re fired. It was Donald Trump’s catchphrase during his tenure as host of NBC’s The Apprentice and The Celebrity Apprentice. It’s a phrase no one wants to hear, filled as it is with the dread of an irate authority figure and terminated employment, and yet it helped endear Trump to an American public that had all but forgotten about him when his first reality series premiered in 2004. Now, millions are aching to repeat those words back to the unlikely 45th President of the United States. From the time of his stunning election, there’s been talk of the possibility that Trump might not last a full term in office . In the wake of news that his administration may have been colluding with Russia for much of the past year and the resignation of top national security adviser General Michael Flynn, it seems more likely than ever that Trump will face a full investigation sometime in the near future. Bad news for America, but potentially good news for gamblers who are bored with playing the ponies and betting on point spreads. As they do with pretty much everything else, from the length of the national anthem at the Super Bowl to the likelihood that Jennifer Lawrence will fall down at an awards show, oddsmakers are calculating the chances of a Trump impeachment. And these days they’re liking the president’s chances of getting the boot. The odds of a Trump impeachment in 2017 are currently sitting at 4/1. If he makes it through his first year in the White House, however, it seems the likelihood that Trump will last a full four years will jump considerably. The odds of a Trump’s impeachment in 2018 are currently at 9/1. In 2019, they’re 16/1 in 2019 and they’re at a whopping 20/1 in the year 2020. So if you have an inkling that Trump will get tossed three years from now, you may want to put some dollars down on it. Not surprisingly, oddsmakers are deeming it less likely that the president will voluntarily step down. The “no” prop bet on Trump resigning is currently at 4/11. The “yes” is a 15/8. Of course, anyone familiar with Trump’s ego knows that all the sh-t would have to hit all the fans simultaneously for Trump to admit defeat and surrender the White House. But hey, these are exciting times in the worst possible way, and anything is possible! So get your bets in now, before we’re all wagering in rubles! Wish us luck, rest of the world! Most women of a certain age have a period. It's totally normal and natural , nothing to be ashamed of. But still, even though it's just a regular old bodily function, some shame persists. To combat that monthly stigma, a yoga instructor named Steph Gongora has shared a video of herself in which she's wearing white pants and doing a routine on her period — but without wearing anything to stop the bleeding. “I am a woman, therefore, I bleed,” she explains in the caption of the video. “It's messy, it's painful, it's terrible, & it's beautiful.” She writes that while it's normal , it's still something that women try to hide. But unfortunately, many women don't have the privilege to hide it as well as others. “Over 100 million young women around the globe miss school or work for lack of adequate menstrual supplies, & fear of what might hapen if the world witnesses A NATURAL BODILY FUNCTION,” she says. She urged women to “stop pretending,” to stop using cutesy names for a period “because you're too afraid to say 'I'm bleeding' or 'vagina.'” “Educate your daughters,” she goes on. “Make them understand that it can be both an inconvenience and a gift, but NEVER something to be ashamed about.” “Educate your sons so they don't recoil from the word tampon. So when a girl bleeds through her khaki shorts in third period (pun intended), the don't perpetuate the cycle of shame and intolerance.” Watch Steph in action in the video below:
Playboy has finally come to its sense. And, in response, millions of men around the world will soon be able to pick up a copy of this magazine and come to completio… never mind. Over a year since the publication made the shocking and confusing decision to go nudity-free , Chief Creative Officer Cooper Hefner has confessed this was a really dumb decision. And he’s officially reversed it. In October of 2015, Playboy chief executive Scott Flanders told The New York Times that it simply seemed silly for the magazine to keep focusing on boobs, butts and vaginas. Hence the significant “redesign” the publication chose to move forward with. “You’re now one click away from every sex act imaginable for free,” Flanders said at the time. “And so it’s just passe at this juncture.” We mean… sure. This is clearly true. You’re literally one click away from Kim Kardashian nude photos. But you’re Playboy! If you’re going to get rid of naked centerfolds, why even exist? That’s the conclusion Hefner, the 25-year old son of founder Hugh Hefner, finally acknowledged on Monday. He released the cover photo for the March/April issue and said it will, indeed, feature Playmate Elizabeth Elam in her birthday suit. “I’ll be the first to admit that the way in which the magazine portrayed nudity was dated, but removing it entirely was a mistake,” the younger Hefner wrote on Twitter in announcing this move. He added: “Nudity was never the problem because nudity isn’t a problem. Today we’re taking our identity back and reclaiming who we are.” The upcoming issue will depict Elam in all her nude glory, along with an interview with Scarlett Johansson… a profile of CNN political commentator Van Jones … and a piece on the hip-hop outfit Run the Jewels. (So that’s what you can tell people as confirmation when you claim you read Playboy “for the articles.”) In December of 2015, Pamela Anderson covered what was believed at the time to be the final issue of Playboy with nudity. “I got a call from [Hugh Hefner’s] attorney who said, ‘We don’t want anybody else,” Anderson told Entertainment Tonight of the honor. “There’s nobody else, could you do the last cover of Playboy?'” Playboy’s first issue without naked actresses or models came out in February 2016, concliding a more than six-decade run of glossy centerfolds featuring young women baring EVERYthing. The publication still featured “sexy, seductive pictorials of the world’s most beautiful women, including its iconic Playmates,” as Playboy put it at the time. But it was ridiculed pretty hard for the change of focus. “Old Playboy was a lifestyle bible,” BuzzFeed culture writer Anne Helen Petersen jabbed. “Current Playboy is a caricature of itself. Pretty much, right? But give Hefner credit for coming to this conclusion and admitting that he was mistaken. In a post on the Playboy website, Hefner outlined a “new Playboy philosophy,” in which he said the decision to embrace the naked form again was partly rooted in the country’s political and cultural climate. He ticked off a list of “collective accomplishments” from the past few years, such as: The election of the first “mixed-race” President (his term). A Supreme Court ruling in favor of same-sex marriage. Marijuana legalization in some places. The nomination of a woman by a major political party. “One thing is clear that both my dad and I understand at its simplest form, and that is what Playboy and the United States strive to represent in their greatest forms: freedom,” Hefner wrote. Yeah. You may be overthinking this one, Cooper. Men purchased Playboy because they love boobs. Take away the boobs and they will stop buying it. Bring back the boobs and you’ll be successful again. It doesn’t exactly matter who’s President or what the Supreme Court has or has not said.
Emily Ratajkowski is standing up for Melania Trump. We know, we know: that’s not a sentence you expected to read today. It’s not a sentence we expected to write, either. But the model and actress wrote on Twitter last night that she was seated alongside an unnamed New York Times reporter at a New York Fashion Week on Monday when he said the following: “Melania is a hooker.” And Ratajkowski, who supported Bernie Sanders in last year’s Presidential election, was not about to let this comment go unanswered. “Whatever your politics, it’s crucial to call this out for what it is,” Ratajkowski wrote, adding: “Slut shaming. I don’t care about her nudes or sexual history and no one should.” Last July, The New York Post published old photos of Melania Trump nude , with other sources confirming that the First Lady posed for some very revealing shoots back in the day. In 1995, Trump posed naked for a steamy girl-on-girl shoot for Max Magazine, a now-defunct French men’s monthly. Five years later, she appeared topless in an especially seductive spread in British GQ. But Ratajkowski is right, of course. Appearing in those types of photos is very different than accepting money in exchange for sex. Moreover, why the heck is some journalist slamming Melania Trump? Her only real sin in all of this national drama is having bad taste in men. Ratajkowski concluded her tweets by referred to these kind of “gender specific attacks” as “disgusting” examples of “sexist bullshit.” The First Lady, meanwhile, jumped on Twitter in response to Ratajkowski’s defense ad showed her appreciation to the model. “Applause to all women around the world who speak up, stand up and support other women!” Trump wrote to her 6.81 million followers on Monday evening, adding Ratajkowski’s handle and the following hashtags: “#PowerOfEveryWoman #PowerOfTheFirstLady” A rep for The New York Times released a statement on Monday in response to Ratajkowski’s Tweet. “At a party last night, a Times reporter who does not cover Washington or politics referred to an unfounded rumor regarding Melania Trump,” the statement read. “The comment was not intended to be public, but it was nonetheless completely inappropriate and should not have occurred. Editors have talked to the reporter in question about the lapse.” Ratajkowski also re-Tweeted a lengthy message shared by a Teen Vogue writer named Brittney McNamara. It defended Melania Trump against these kinds of sexist attacks and even went into depth on how sex workers in general should not be marginalized in this kind of manner. Read the message shared by McNamara above and then sound off below: Do you admire Ratajkowski for sticking up for Melania Trump? Or do you think the First Lady deserves all this scorn and derision because she is married to Donald Trump?
Well, it’s Valentine’s Day, which means that if you haven’t already done something special for your significant other, either you’re a woman, so you don’t have to worry about it, or you’re a man, and you may want to start setting up a Tinder profile. Of course, there might be extenuating circumstances. You could be Kanye West, in which case you may not have shelled out for flowers and candy because you don’t where the hell your wife is. Kim and Kanye are both in New York for the city’s Fashion Week, but sources say that unlike in years past, Kanye will not be doing any partying in the run-up to his latest Yeezy fashion show. In fact, if Kim kad her way, he wouldn’t be in New York at all. “Kim does not think that Kanye should be doing this and they had a huge fight about it,” a source told Radar exclusively. “Kanye has disobeyed her because she told him he is not to be doing anything stressful and he continues to push her buttons.” Yes, according to those closest to the couple Kim controls Kanye these days, and she’s apparently beyond pissed by the fact that he’s chosen to follow her to NYC. As punishment or part of a compromise (depending on whom you ask), Kanye reportedly has to stay in the hotel when he’s not engaged in activities direclty linked to his fashion show. Kim, on the other hand, is still free to party, and she’s reportedly planning on exercising that right tonight, romantic holiday be damned. Insiders say Kim has no intention of spending the night with Kanye tonight, but she assumes he had nothing planned anyway. “Kim does not think that Kanye is going to do anything special for her because he is so wrapped up in his show tomorrow.” Sources say the rapper is all about reclaiming his independence through small, passive-aggressive acts of disobedience. Going to New York against Kim’s wishes was one such act of rebellion. And apparently, Kanye’s blonde hair was another. “[Kim] hates his blonde hair so he goes and dyes his hair blonde,” a source tells Radar. It seems Kim believes Kanye – who was hospitalized for a psychiatric evaluation in November – is still not stable enough to be back to work, and she’s afraid a public failure might crush him. “She does not want him to be doing anything that will bring her bad press and she knows that this fashion show is going to tank and that he will be the laughing stock of NYFW,” the insider told Radar. “But she has done all that she can to save him.” View Slideshow: 45 Kute and Kuddly Kimye Photos
