Source: Apega/WENN.com / WENN A Man Tried To Steal Halle Berry’s House Using A Fake Deed Halle Berry was really close to returning to her Hollywood home to find the locks changed and a strange man living inside. According to TMZ , law enforcement sources say that 59-year-old Ronald Eugene Griffin first showed up at the Los Angeles property owned by the actress back in January and allegedly fiddled with the locks, but took off when he was approached by her gardener. A couple months later, in March, cops received a trespassing call from workers at Berry’s home, who said Griffin was there with a locksmith trying to get in, also claiming that he was the new owner of the home and had the deed to prove it. Not only did Griffin try to make his way into the house, he reportedly already managed to have one of the locks changed, and even made a call to the police when he was confronted by the employees at the house. When police arrived, Griffin maintained that he was the owner of the house, but LAPD detectives quickly determined that he had fraudulently changed the title of the residence. Halle told the detectives she had no idea who he was and most definitely did not give him permission to be at her home. Griffin was later arrested and hit with a felony count of procuring and offering a false warranty deed and an additional count of petty theft. His bond’s set at $36k. TMZ also reported that Griffin apparently didn’t even know the house he was trying to steal was Halle Berry’s place–it was just a coincidence. As for Halle, this isn’t the first time she’s had major issues with intruders. Back in 2011, she came home, walked in the kitchen and told cops, “As I opened my glass kitchen door and closed it behind me, all of a sudden I sensed someone behind me and turned to see the intruder standing less than a foot behind me, staring through my glass kitchen door.” That guy also ended up being arrested.

According to NYPost , a Queens mother for four, 38-year-old Donette Edge Cannon, has died only hours after being exposed to a mysterious stomach illness during her vacation to the Dominican Republic back in May 14, 2018. Donette was on the island with her family who all reported having minor stomach issues during the trip, but none as bad as what she suffered says her sister Cannon Edge Johnson: “For us, throughout the trip, we kept using the bathroom,” Johnson said. “We went to a restaurant in the same condition, anytime we ate we were using the bathroom.” After a night of dancing and partying, Donette woke up in the middle of the night with diarrhea and vomiting that progressively got worse. “My cousin said, ‘It’s getting worse. I’m going to have the medics come and check her out,’” Johnson said. “Once they got to the room, she fell unconscious and they took her to the hospital.” Donette was diabetic and was undergoing dialysis prior to the trip, but she was taken to the hospital without her meds. The hospital told her relatives it was too late to take her elsewhere. “They basically let her die on the table,” her sister said. Donette’s official cause of death was ruled kidney failure, however… “Their conclusion was renal failure, but it never addressed what initially got her sick in the first place,” Johnson told The Post. When asked about the numerous new incidents of tourists dying Johnson says: “I think now that looking at the other incidents that it definitely [is] something deeper and sheds on their health care practices,” Johnson told The Post. “It’s not like the United States.” She said she “would never return” to the country and wants to warn others to be “very cautious.” We don’t blame her. There are literally dozens of other beaches and exotic locales to visit. Rest in peace Donette Cannon.
The Mayfields are one of 90 Day Fiance 's most fan-beloved couples for a lot of reasons. Pao has been open about having a baby and the positive and negative experiences of motherhood. Now, she's showing off her post-baby body — just about six months after having baby Axel. In a short Instagram video that we have included, Paola flaunts her lower body in a teenie string bikini. “My monthly body check!” she writes at the beginning of her caption. She reminds fans and followers that this is he body at “Almost 6 months postpartum.” (Paola gave birth on January 1, so she's just a week and a half from baby Axel turning 6 months old) “Just [because] I’m quiet,” Pao notes. “Doesn’t mean I’m not reaching my goals!” We couldn't help but turn this video into a pair of gifs to show off the results of her efforts. “I’m working hard to get where I was before pregnancy,” Paola writes. “And,” she adds, she is dedicated to “gaining my strength back.” “Which for me is the most important,” Paola emphasizes. She also writes that she is working on all of this “even though I’m still healing.” “Nothing will stop this mama from reaching her goals!” Paola vows. She also clarifies to assure her fans and followers that she is making healthy choices for herself and for Axel. “I’m not dieting,” she announces. Instead, Paola writes, she is “just eating what I need without affecting my milk supply.” Paola concludes: “as I’m exclusively breastfeeding!” Paola also recently shared a photo of the two other Mayfields. Russ looks both proud and handsome, and 5-month-old baby Axel looks adorable and a little excited. “Happy first Father's Day, my loves!” Paola captions the photo in Spanish. Still in Spanish, Pao then directs her followers to observe “how handsome these two look!” After all of the doubts and anxieties they both had during her pregnancy last year, it all paid off. Axel is the Mayfields' rainbow baby. Prior to last year's pregnancy, Pao had been pregnant, only to have a miscarriage. Miscarriages are more common than most people believe (some don't even know that they've had them). That does not make them any less tragic for the families who were so excited to have a child. Pao has even admitted to feelings of guilt for enjoying her pregnancy with Axel because she worries that she's diserespecting her previous pregnancy. That is just so sad. Some of Paola's attitudes have been a little surprising to fans. On the most recent episodes of 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After? , she has expressed a desire to have a “natural” at-home birth. Her concern was that hospital's are too “clinical,” even though that is the literal purpose of hospitals. Russ has real concerns but keeps biting his tongue because of his desire to support his wife. Fans are still horrified by Paola defending the “rights” of anti-vaxxers , but she reassured them that, so far, Axel has gotten those all-important vaccines. Sometimes, first time parents go overboard. Everyone hopes that Pao and Russ continue to make good choices for their baby.

We wanted to share some of the stories the cast and crew told about what went on behind-the-scenes and how execs pitched the show to Keenan Ivory Wayans as a “black ‘Laugh-In.’” Check out the excerpts below via THR: Tommy Davidson, on why he got In Living Color over SNL: When I landed In Living Color, I was a hot comic. A week before getting the job I had met with Lorne Michaels in his office in 1990 [for a potential SNL spot]. He lined it up for me and said, “I don’t want a black comedian. Eddie Murphy was a mistake. I don’t want a person that stands out.” I was confused. I was born black. There’s not a zipper in the back of this thing.[A spokesperson for SNL replies: “This account is without merit. Chris Rock, Tim Meadows and Ellen Cleghorne were all hired into the cast between 1990 and 1991.”] Jim Carrey, on sketches that didn’t make it to air: We were warped out of our minds. We presented several sketches that didn’t make it on the air, things that were just too insane, like the abortion rally ventriloquist. We came up with a sketch called “Make a Death Wish Foundation” about a dead kid whose posthumous wish was to go to an amusement park. That did not make it on air, either. But I came up with the face of the kid, and it eventually turned into the “Fire Marshall Bill” face. David Alan Grier, on the show’s … fans: Spike Lee hated the show. He got really mad at us because he thought we were over-the-top about Do the Right Thing. He did not like us making fun of him. People would get angry when we poked fun at them. Arsenio Hall too — anybody that we really poked fun at. Carrie Ann Inaba, on working with Jennifer Lopez: There was magic in the skits, and the Fly Girls had this cult following. [Choreographer] Rosie Perez pushed us hard. She didn’t know how to pronounce words like “pirouette,” but it didn’t matter. She had a vision. Source: Star Tribune via Getty Images / Getty Police Officer Fired For Not Being Able To Locate Kidnapped Girl A police officer in Texas has been fired from his job after he searched the hotel room where a kidnapped 8-year-old girl was being held captive and somehow didn’t find her. Officer Richardson Wolfe was placed on indefinite suspension — which is the civil service equivalent of termination — for mishandling the case of the young girl, who was later brought to safety. Forest Hills Police Chief Dan Dennis confirmed that Wolfe was released from the department on Wednesday, according to reports from NBC 5 . It all happened when Wolfe responded to an emergency call at a hotel just after midnight on May 19. An hour before the call, an Amber Alert had been sent out for the kidnapping of the young girl, who was snatched by a man later identified as Michael Webb. According to police, Webb dragged the child into his car and threw her mother out of the vehicle when she jumped in to try to fight him off. Someone at WoodSprings Suites recognized Webb from the Amber Alert and notified a desk clerk, who then called the police. When Wolfe arrived at the scene, he allegedly knocked on Webb’s hotel room door first, and was eventually let inside. “Upon entry into the room, the officers made visual inspection of the areas of the room that appeared to be large enough to conceal the missing child,” the police said in a press release. “They did not locate any other occupants inside the room. With no one located and no other information available, the officers cleared the scene.” Two hours later, Forest Hill police received another tip and at about 2am, more officers returned to the kidnapper’s hotel room. About six minutes later, Fort Worth police officers arrived too, and police confirmed that the child was located with Michael Webb a short time later. The tip that led to the rescue of the little girl came in from Jeff King, a local pastor who was friends with the girl’s parents. King had asked a detective if there was anything he could do to help find the missing girl, and the detective told him to check parks, hotels and apartments. “We had been checking parks all night and [WoodSprings Suites] was the second hotel we checked,” King said in a press conference. “I feel like God allowed me to be a tool.” Webb was charged with aggravated kidnapping and six counts of sexual assault of a child. He was expected to plead guilty but changed his mind at the eleventh hour and will now cop his plea on June 26, according to CBS 11 . He is facing 20 years to life in prison. Forest Hills Police are expected to release further details about the case as soon as they can.
It looks like things still haven’t improved much since Bethenny lashed out at Luann . This week, the Skinnygirl founder went on Watch What Happens Live , and the former Countess’ ongoing sobriety battle definitely came up. Luann watched … and was so furious that she took to Twitter to share her outrage in a series of blistering tweets. Speaking with Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live , Bethenny Frankel spoke about Luann de Lesseps’ battle for sobriety. “I went all in,” Bethenny says of her erstwhile role in Luann’s health strugle. “I got her rehab paid for.” Which made what went down between the two of them in Miami so shocking for her. “So,” Bethenny explained. “I just felt like, ‘What the hell are you doing? Like, who are you? How are you so not self-aware?’” “Even right after that moment,” Bethenny recalled. “She was like, ‘Well I’ve been going through a lot.’” “I don’t want to be like, ‘I’ve been going through a lot, but I’ve been through a little bit this year.’” Bethenny played a major role in Luann’s intervention in the summer of 2018, after her brief but serious relapse. But when Luann started drinking again in May of this year, Bethenny says that she was not in the loop. On Watch What Happens Live , she told Andy Cohen that she doesn’t know “what’s going on.” “I think she’s doing the best that she can. …” Bethenny speculated. “She’s shooting videos and doing her cabaret,” she added. “So she seems fine.” Seems fine … but she doesn’t actually know. “I’m out, you know what I mean?” Bethenny shared. That said, it’s not like she no longer cares. She adds: “But I would do it again if something really bad happened.” “I like the distance from the situation,” Bethenny explains. Luann saw that interview … and was positively fuming on social media. “I don’t owe Bethenny Frankel my life,” Luann tweeted furiously. The former countess added that “friends are there help each other out.: In case there was any doubt, Luann then added the hashtag: “#WWHL” That’s not a subtweet — because Bethenny’s name is right there in plain letters. See for yourself: Luann had even more to say after this callout. “Friends don’t keep tabs,” Luann expressed in a subsequent tweet, also including the tag “#WWHL.” She was clearly peeved with what she interpreted as Bethenny’s feeling that she owed her a debt. “You don’t help someone and throw it in their face,” Luann tweeted. This time, she used the tag: “#RHONY.” She wanted to reach a wide audience with her words. Bethenny Frankel certainly had a hard time over the past year or so. Remember, she lost her on-again, off-again boyfriend, Dennis Shields. While that was certainly what drove her blow-up at Luann and the meltdown that followed on the show, that’s not the only factor. Bethenny is also fighting a painful, intense custody battle with her awful ex-husband, Jason Hoppy. She has a lot of stress on her. We don’t think that she feels that Luann owes her a debt for helping her. But she clearly wishes that Luann were a little more aware of other people. We're seeing a bit of a change of pace this time around, as today's story has nothing to do with Jenelle's alleged mistreatment of her children and everything to do with her alleged mistreatment of her husband, David Eason. There's a debate to be had over whether or not it's possible to mistreat David, as dude pretty much deserves every bad thing that happens to him. But for now we'll keep the discussion to David's (alleged) black eye and Jenelle's bonkers explanation of how it happened. Take a look: 1. The Call One of the ugliest altercations ended with David drunkenly fleeing the property in his truck while Jenelle called 911 and reported that Eason had broken her collarbone. 3. Hard to Forget Jenelle later dismissed the incident and explained to fans that it was simply a “drunk and dramatic misunderstanding.” 4. A Repeated Pattern But it wasn’t the first allegation of violence in the Easons’ marriage — nor would it be the last. 5. Every Small Town Has That One Family … It wasn’t the last time that the authorities would pay a visit to the Eason household. 6.
