Back in 2011, Hope Solo competed on Dancing With the Stars along with fan-favorite Maksim Chmerkovskiy as her coach and partner. The duo performed respectably, finishing in fourth place, but their working relationship is remembered as one of the most volatile in the history of the show. Rehearsal footage showed Chmerkovskiy getting rough with Solo during rehearsals, and neither of them had anything good to say about the other after their time on the show was through. Just when it seemed that they had quietly gone their separate ways, Solo dropped a bombshell in her memoir, claiming that Chmerkovskiy slapped her during one of their final rehearsals together. Maksim swears that incident never happened, but Hope still sticks to her story three years later. So we suppose it’s not surprising that Maks didn’t have a lot of kind things to say about the former USWNT goalie in a recent podcast interview: “She’s just a sh-tty person,” Maksim says. “You can have a sh-tty life growing up, but if you’re a bad person, there’s no excuse for that.” The remark was made during a game of “F-ck, Marry, Kill” and not surprisingly, Chmerkovskiy stated, “I would definitely kill Hope Solo” (hypothetically, of course). Today is George R.R. Martin’s 66th birthday, and he certainly has a lot to celebrate. He’s one of the world’s best-selling authors, there’s a wildly successful television series based on his work, and he makes life miserable for millions of people on a regular basis. Yes, if you’re one of the 18 million people who watched Game of Thrones last season, you might hate GRRM even though you’ve never actually read his work. And we’re right there with you. On countless occasions, Martin has ripped our hearts out and cast them aside like Theon Greyjoy’s severed wang: 7 Game of Thrones Scenes That Are Tough to Watch 1. Bran’s Winterfell Fall When a lovable kid gets paralyzed early in the story, you know the guy telling tale isn’t gonna spare your feelings. Last month, nude photos of Jennifer Lawrence and dozens of other female celebrities were posted online following what appears to have been a large-scale effort to hack into the phones and computers of famous women. Both the FBI and the websites upon which the photos were posted announced that they would be taking immediate action to ensure that such a widespread privacy violation would never happen again. Now, it seems those efforts were ineffective, as nude photos of Kim Kardashian and several other celebrities were posted on 4Chan and Reddit early this morning. Actress Vanessa Hudgens and US women’s soccer team goalie Hope Solo were also targeted by a hacker who may or may not be the same person responsible for the first round of stolen pictures. The photos were removed from both websites shortly after they were posted, but Kardashian is believed to be pursuing legal action, nonetheless. TMZ reports that it is unclear when the photos were taken, though Kim is not wearing a wedding or engagement ring in any of the shots. Both Hudgens and Solo were targeted by hackers in the past, and they successfully lobbied to have their private photos removed from various websites. Kardashian is no stranger to such scandals herself, as the Kim Kardashian sex tape that was leaked online back in 2007 helped to make the reality star a household name. Kim Kardashian Nude Photos 1. It’s likely just an afterthought for her as she tries to help lead the U.S. to Olympic gold, but soccer star Hope Solo turns 31 today. Happy birthday to the goalie! If Hope’s Twitter feud with Brandi Chastain has distracted the squad at all, you wouldn’t know it; the Americans are 2-0 after blanking Colombia Saturday in London. Solo met with coaches over her Twitter comments, but isn’t expected to face disciplinary action. Here’s hoping she and the team keep their eyes on the prize! One of the best-known U.S. soccer stars since … well, Chastain and Mia Hamm, Solo has found herself in the news frequently over the years, on and off the field. Hope lit up the parquet on Dancing with the Stars with Maksim Chmerkovskiy and posed nude in the annual ESPN the Magazine body issue. She publicly criticized her coach in ’07 for using another goalkeeper, and was recently given a warning for failing a drug test which found a banned substance. Hope said it was due to premenstrual medication she takes and was cleared for the Olympics, where she says a lot of extracurricular activity goes on at night. Star U.S. soccer goalie Hope Solo failed a drug test recently, but was let off with a warning after claiming she had no idea a prescription drug she took for “pre-menstrual purposes” contained a diuretic on the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency’s prohibited list . She will be eligible to compete in the 2012 Olympic Games in London. “Once informed of this fact, I immediately cooperated with USADA and shared with them everything they needed to properly conclude that I made an honest mistake, and the medication did not enhance my performance in any way,” Solo said. A sample of Solo’s urine collected June 15 tested positive for canrenone, a prohibited diuretic. But when Hope’s prescribed medication was found to contain canrenone in therapeutic doses, she was given a public warning, not a suspension. “As someone who believes in clean sport, I’m glad to have worked with USADA to resolve this matter and I look forward to representing my country at the 2012 Olympic Games in London,” the Dancing With the Stars alum said. Solo is one of 14 American athletes to receive a sanction under United States Olympic Committee’s anti-doping policies this year, according to the USADA.
