Is This Why Alec Baldwin Needs a Vocal Coach for Rock of Ages?

While speaking with Vulture on Monday night, Alec Baldwin revealed that he will be hiring a vocal coach to prepare for his role in Rock of Ages , Adam Shankman’s adaptation of the Broadway musical which will require the actor to sing alongside Tom Cruise and Mary J. Blige. This revelation was surprising, both because the 30 Rock star seems capable of excelling at everything — and because he has already appeared multiple times on Broadway. Ryan Reynolds Scarlett Johansson File For Divorce

Merry Christmas, Honey. I want a divorce! Hollywood A-listers Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds filed for divorce on the eve of Christmas Eve, citing irreconcilable differences, a week after they announced their amicable split. The couple — named the “World’s Sexiest Man and Woman Alive” in separate polls in recent years — both filed papers to dissolve their two-year marriage, according to the documents obtained by TMZ Wednesday. “We entered our relationship with love and it’s with love and kindness we leave it. While privacy isn’t expected, it’s certainly appreciated,” the former couple said in a statement announcing their separation on Dec. 14. The divorce papers, filed in Los Angeles Superior Court Wednesday, cited the same date as the date of separation. Insiders tell PEOPLE that the couple quietly split six months ago, adding that it was Johansson — named “Sexiest Woman Alive” by Esquire Magazine in 2006 — initiated the move. Johansson, 26, famous for roles in films such as Lost in Translation and Vicky Cristina Barcelona , previously admitted that being apart from Reynolds due to their conflicting filming schedules was hard on the relationship. The actress has already begun apartment-hunting in her native New York City. The couple did not sign a pre-nuptial agreement before their Sept. 2008 wedding, TMZ reported, noting that Ryan made more money than Scarlett during their marriage. Ryan shouldn’t have too hard a time finding a date: Not only is he rich, the Green Lantern actor, 34, was named PEOPLE’s Sexiest Man Alive two weeks before announcing his split from Scarlett.
