Netflix’s “Luke Cage” Cancelled After Two Seasons

Netflix Cancels “Luke Cage” Bad news for Marvel fans who were feeling the Harlem vibes of Netlix’s Luke Cage . After only two seasons on the streaming service, the powers that be have decided to pull the plug on the hit hero show. The series faced the same fate as Marvel sister show Iron Fist , whose cancellation was announced just days earlier. According to Variety , this is just a step in Netflix severing ties with Marvel as the production company moves toward placing all of its properties to the upcoming Disney streaming service. A source tells the site that the network was in talks to produce a third season of Luke Cage , however, it just didn’t seem practical or possible with the big Disney move on the horizon. As Netflix and Marvel Television told journalists in a joint statement: “Unfortunately, ‘Marvel’s Luke Cage’ will not return for a third season. Everyone at Marvel Television and Netflix is grateful to the dedicated showrunner, writers, cast and crew who brought Harlem’s Hero to life for the past two seasons, and to all the fans who have supported the series.” SMH. Are you sad to see this show go? Do you think it may pop up in some new iteration once Disney gets its streaming service off the ground? Jamie McCarthy/WireImage

On top of that, he was going through a another divorce, which means his head was totally not in the music game.   But luckily for Usher, he has die hard fans who’ll stand by his side regardless of what he does. One fan tweeted , “All jokes aside, Usher’s album slaps. He’s adjusting to the current era: surprise album, 8 songs, trap melodies. While still giving us the essence of the artist we know & love. Chance The Rapper Drops 4 New Tracks, Buys Chicagoist Website

Source: Apega/WENN.com / WENN Chance The Rapper had fans on the edge of the seats after promising a new full-length album this week, although he eventually decided not to come out with the project . Instead, the Chicago rapper dialed down his initial aims and unleashed four new tracks for the masses. The tracks, “Work Out, “65th & Ingleside,” “I Might Need Security,” and “Wala Cam” featuring Supa Bwe. The songs cover much of Chano’s usual fare, which includes speaking on his engagement to his daughter’s mother, Kirsten Corley, his ties to the Chicago streets, and his generally positive views on life as it happens. Details on who provided production for the tracks are scant, but per Genius “65th & Ingleside features production from Greg Landfair, Peter Cottontale, Nate Fox, Lido, and Chance himself. Savvy fans will recognize Landfair’s name from the defunct Chicago band Kids These Days that Vic Mensa was also once a part of. On “I Might Need Security,” Jamie Foxx, Cottontale, Chance, and Smoko Ono are credited for the production. Lastly on “Wala Cam,” Landfair, Carter Lang, and Lido provided the heat. Lang has worked on SZA’s acclaimed CTRL project among other works. Fox has worked with Chance over the years and, along with Cottontale, is a member of The Social Experiment. In other big news, Chance announced his purchase of the Chicagoist website, which examines all things Chicago, in a verse on “I Might Need Security” by rapping, “I got a hit-list so long I don’t know how to finish/I bought the Chicagoist just to run you racist b*tches out of business/Speaking of racist, f*ck your micro aggressions/I’ll make you fix your words like a typo suggestion.” Check out the new tracks below. — Photo: WENN

Hippocratical Hack Dr. Phil Accused Of Giving Addict Guests Drugs And Alcohol To Boost His Ratings

Dr. Phil Accused Of Giving Drugs To Addicts Multiple guests of the “Dr. Phil” show claim that the good doctor fed their addictions in the name of good TV. According to Page Six , several addicts have come forward with accusations that Dr. Phil and his production staff put them at risk by leaving them without medical attention or by supplying drugs and alcohol to them throughout their recovery. A joint investigation from STAT and the Boston Globe revealed that one guest, “Survivor: China” winner Todd Herzog arrived to Phil’s show sober, yet seeking assistance for his addiction. He says that when he arrived in his dressing room, he found a liter of vodka, which he ultimately was unable to resist drinking. When he alerted a member of production what had happened, they offered him prescription Xanax to help settle his nerves. He famously appeared on the show drunk off his azz, actually blowing a 0.263, nearly three times the legal driving limit. He claims he ultimately was helped by the program, but an addict shouldn’t have to fight that battle with easy drugs being pushed their way. SMH! Can you believe they’re doing the addicts coming to them for help like this? Getty

Bank-Breaking Blac Chyna STILL Wants A 7-Figure Check From Nude-Leaking Loser Rob Kardashian

Image via Splash/MSA/Supreme Blac Chyna Wants 7-Figure Check From Rob Kardashian Over Nude Leak B-b-b-b-but wait, it gets worse! If you thought that Blac Chyna won big with yesterday’s news that Rob Kardashian would have to pay her $20,000 per month in child support, wait ’til you get a load of THIS. According to TMZ , Chyna hasn’t forgotten that Rob pressed “share” on a gang of her nude pics and posted them to Instagram. As penance for this offense, Chyna, along with opportunist lawyer Lisa Bloom, are demanding that Rob cough up a seven-figure check to settle their lawsuit against him. Peep her argument: Chyna is still SUPER salty that she’s lost her weight-loss endorsements. She says the photos Rob leaked make it clear that she did not lose her weight the natural way, she lost it at the hand of a doctor’s scalpel. These brands aren’t trying to pay brand ambassadors who are circumventing their product to get slimmy trimmy. If Chyna doesn’t get a LEAST an “M” out of Rob, then she’s willing to take her grievance to court where it will likely cost Rob a LOT more. Rob is a whole azz moron and this broad is a goddess of finesse. She got the right one, baby. Word to Ray Charles. SMH. More Chyna on the flipper.
