After his estranged wife filed for divorce last July, Garnett recently filed documents to avoid having to pay her spousal support. The Blast reports : As The Blast first reported, KG’s wife, Brandi Padilla, filed for divorce last July. In her filing, she asked for physical custody of the couple’s two children and for the court to award her spousal support. KG filed his response on Monday, where he is asking for joint legal and physical custody of the kids. He is also asking the court to terminate spousal support for Brandi, citing a prenup the couple signed a month before the marriage. The couple did agree on the date of separation — they both listed “TBD” — and the reason for the split, irreconcilable differences. That changed on Tuesday (Jan. 22) after the announcement for the 2019 Academy Awards, giving Lee his first Best Picture and Best Director nods. Variety reports : After more than three decades of making films that have collectively established an undeniable cultural legacy, 61-year-old auteur Spike Lee is finally an Academy Award nominee for best picture and director. It’s as noteworthy a headline as Tuesday’s Oscar nominations announcement is bound to produce. In fact, Lee’s original screenplay notice for the 1989 lightning rod “Do the Right Thing,” which will celebrate its 30th anniversary this summer, and a bid for the 1997 documentary “4 Little Girls,” remained his only Oscar nominations to date until this morning, when he picked up three for “BlacKkKlansman.” The Academy somewhat rectified the years of oversight for landmark achievements like “Malcolm X” and “25th Hour” (considered by some to be one of the very best films of its decade) with an Honorary Oscar in 2015, but Lee’s bids for directing and producing his latest are obviously a long time coming. The setting was the family home’s basement with Lisa’s father speaking with Martin’s father, who was played by legendary actor stage and TV actor Moses Gunn. The two were having a playful discussion about James Moody’s jazz standard, “I’m in the Mood for Love,” and begin signing it when Wilson, accompanied by Phylicia Rashad ‘s Clair Huxtable, strides onto the set, flashed her signature smile and belted out the rest of the song’s lyrics. That prompted Claire to join in as the two ladies walk down the stairs to join their husbands in song, bringing the studio audience to a resounding round of applause when she was finished. It’s a frightening time for young celebrities, as an epidemic of addiction and substance abuse is claiming lives in Hollywood at an astonishing rate. Over the course of the past year, a number of promising lives have been lost or forever changed by opioids and other prescription pills, and it seems that there’s no solution to the problem in sight. In July, Demi Lovato’s near-fatal overdose left fans praying for the singer’s recovery. ( Lovato recently celebrated 90 days of sobriety.) The death of Mac Miller in September stunned the hip-hop world and left many of his fellow artists thinking twice about lyrics and lifestyles that glorify substance abuse. One such artist is Lil Xan. Lil Xan Talks Drugs Xan is so steeped in modern hip-hop drug culture that his stage name is a reference to his former substance of choice. The 23-year-old recently opened up to TMZ in a surprisingly candid new interview in which he discusses his conflicted feelings toward drugs and the music that glorifies them. The rapper says he’s kicked his addiction to Xanax, but is still “weaning” himself away from other pills. In the interview, Xan reveals that he sold drugs before making it big in music. But he also insists he was a drug dealer with a conscience and quit dealing when the often-fatal Fentanyl hit the scene. “My friends were taking it; they were puking. I was like I can’t … I’m out the game,” Xan says of his decision to retire from dealing and focus on music. Xan says that like Demi, he’s capable of long periods of sobriety, but notes that he is currently off the wagon. “I relapsed, and that’s common … Any other addict would understand that sh-t just happens,” he tells TMZ. “You just relapse. You don’t want to. It’s a process. You need treatment and help, and sometimes that doesn’t even help.” “It has to come from within. That’s what I’ve learned,” Xan says. “I’ve gone periods of like six months clean of everything. And that was because of me. I wanted to be clean.” When the interviewer states that Xan is “clean now,” he corrects her: “I’m not completely clean. Off Xanax, yes, but I’m still weaning off Norcos [a brand of codeine-based painkiller],” he says. Xan says he is currently not in rehab, but is living in seclusion “in the forest.” He adds that he plans to remain in hiding until the release of his upcoming album, which he has described as a tribute to his “hero,” Mac Miller. It's been nine months since David Eason got fired from Teen Mom 2 , but it seems he's still obsessed with his former gig. Part of the reason, of course, is that David is still unemployed and thus has nothing else to keep him occupied. But Eason's fixation with the show also seems to have roots in his anger at producers. For months now, he's been ranting on social media about how unfair it was that he was axed from the show. And it now it looks as though his anger might be creating an unsafe situation for TM2's crew. The Incident It all started, of course, with the revelation that David had assaulted Jenelle during a fight on the couple’s property. 3. The Aftermath Fans implored Jenelle to remove her kids from the home and relocate someplace safer. Instead, she did something wholly unexpected … 5. The Twist Jenelle took to social media to defend David in the wake of the attack, dismissing the assault as a “drunk and dramatic misunderstanding.” 6. In the years since she retired from the world of adult film, life hasn’t always been kind to Jenna Jameson. Jameson has struggled with addiction, endured brushes with the law, and battles with depression and anxiety, all before an audience of millions of social media followers. Thankfully, the mother of three has managed to turn things around as of late. In April of 2017, Jameson welcomed her third child , a girl named Batel Lu. In the months since giving birth, Jenna has devoted herself to living a healthier lifestyle and Just last month Jameson showed off an astonishing 57-pound weight loss on Instagram, and it seems she’s continued making progress since then: The 44-year-old posted the above photo earlier this week along with a lengthy caption in which she discusses the lessons that she’s learned over the course of her weight loss journey. “One aspect of fear that we all trip over is fear of failure,” Jameson wrote. “This was the major component in my procrastination on getting healthy after having Batel. I kept trying to convince myself I was ok with my “new” size. I wasn’t,” she continued. “It really was fear of failing. I was so afraid I couldn’t reach my goals like I was so accustomed to, I just told myself ‘why bother?’ I conquered sobriety, but that came with a whole set of new issues… actually FEELING my feelings. Raw, painful feelings.” Jameson went on to reveal that she’s now lost 63 pounds in a matter of months. She says she’s officially reached her ideal weight of 123 pounds. “Batelli is 17 months and I’m 123. I did it,” she said. “So to finish up this long a— post, just know it’s normal to fear failing at losing your weight… but if you don’t try, you’ll never know the utter triumph when you do achieve your goals.” But despite shedding an astonishing number of pounds in a very short period of time, Jameson says she has no intention of slowing down: “When I do make these before and after pictures it motivates me to continue!” she recently wrote on Instagram. Jenna deserves to be commended for her weight loss thus far, and it looks as though she achieved the awesome feat through commitment, exercise, and devotion to the ultra-low-carb keto diet. But at 5’7”, 123 pounds makes for a mighty thin frame, and fans have begun imploring Jameson to slow down in her fitness routine. As far as we can tell, there’s no cause for concern just yet, but here’s hoping Jenna continues to prioritize being healthy over being thin.
It looks like more hard times are ahead for Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra. According to Radar Online, the Baltierras have checked into an in-patient couple-oriented therapy program in a last-ditch effort to save their marriage. Catelynn has been to rehab several times over the course of the past two years, and while she's made progress with her mental health, insiders say she and Tyler both continue to struggle daily. Now, it seems they've decided that in order to make their marriage work, they'll both need to address their mental health issues with the help of professionals. Here's what we know about the situation thus far: 1. Better Days For years, Tyler and Catelynn were the most stable couple in all of the Teen Mom franchise. 2. Hard Times Sadly, a combination of difficult times, past trauma, and latent mental health issues all combined to put the Baltierras’ marriage to the test in a major way. 3. The Domino Effect Both Tyler and Catelynn have been diagnosed with various mental illnesses that are at least partially the result of their traumatic upbringings. 4. Tragedy Strikes When Catelynn suffered a miscarriage, the tragedy triggered a downward spiral that prompted her to check into rehab multiple times. 5. A Double-Edged Sword Tyler did his best to be a supportive spouse, but as is so often the case with this sort of thing, Catelynn’s illness and frequent absences eventually began to take a toll. 6.
