Flash Mob of Vigilantes Attack Purse Snatchers

thieves are swarmed my mob armed with sticks, chairs & a dresser June 1, 2010 12:37 PM A pair of motorcycle-riding handbag thieves in China have been arrested after they were chased by a group of irate shoppers who saw them attack a woman. The incident, which was caught on CCTV, happened in Wenzhou last week and started when the motorbike-riding crooks drove past a woman and grabbed the handbag she was carrying. As the pair sped off down the road, the victim tried to run after them, and passers-by who had seen what happened they joined in. Within seconds, dozens of shoppers and store-owners were following the bike which was forced to double back on himself. At that point the men were pushed off the bike and attacked by the gang with whatever they had to hand… including one guy who threw a chest-of-drawers at him, really. Kevin Costner, Wife Christine Baumgartner Welcome Baby #3!

Kevin Costner didn’t want to buy the Field of Dreams land up for sale – dude has a lot of mouths to feed, including one that was just born yesterday! The Oscar-winning director and his wife, Christine Baumgartner Costner, welcomed a baby girl named Grace Avery Costner on Wednesday afternoon. This is Costner’s seventh child, and his third with Christine. Grace arrived at 5:46 p.m. in California. She weighed 7 lbs., 11 oz., and was 21 inches at birth. Both mom and daughter are doing well, his rep says. The baby’s impending arrival was announced in March. Kevin and Christine have been married since 2004. We’re glad it’s been working out so well. Grace’s siblings: Hayes Logan, 16 months, Cayden Wyatt, 3, Liam, 13, Joe, 22, Lily, 23, and Annie, 25. Congratulations to the happy, growing family!

After Years of Work, Guillermo del Toro Bolts From The Hobbit

Guillermo del Toro has been attached to direct The Hobbit for two years, and he’s even been quietly auditioning actors for it over the last month (including one recent alum of Movieline’s Verge feature — guess who!), but it’s been impossible for him to proceed as planned with the Lord of the Rings prequel without a firm greenlight from the in-turmoil, unsold MGM. Therefore, he announced today, he’s leaving the project.

Taryn Manning Bikini Pictures

For those of you who have no idea who the hell this Taryn Manning chick is, you’re not alone. Not a clue, but she’s playing around on the beach in her bikini so she’s allowed on the site. I was just reading her wikipedia page and apparently she’s an actress/singer who’s going to be in the new Hawaii Five-O remake. Fascinating. She also had some laser treatment to have some unfortunate tattoos removed, including one on her forearm that read ‘I Love Boys’ ….. She’s clearly not a member of Mensa , but she looks good in a bikini so who really gives a crap.

John Gardner reacts with tears as victim#39;s family addressed the court during his sentencing, Friday, May 14, 2010 in San Diego. Gardener, a s-ex offender who admitted murdering two teenage girls, including one who once lived in Illinois, was sentenced to life in prison without parole. John Gardner, 31, pleaded guilty April 16 and will be sentenced to a pair of life terms in prison without the possibility of parole, plus an additional 33 years to life behind bars.
