What is… things we did not expect to write about today? Ken Jennings – who made over $3 million during his incredible run as a contestant on Jeopardy – is facing major fire today for a totally random and very insensitive Tweet. Proving that even smart men can make dumb decisions, Jennings took to his social media page last night and wrote: “Nothing sadder than a hot person in a wheelchair.” Jennings did not put his quote in any kind of context (not that any would really excuse it; safe to assume he simply saw an attractive handicapped person) and it instantly drew a rebuke from followers. Many referred to the message as “hurtful” and “disappointing,” with a couple more notable examples reading: To any young people out there with a disability, you are perfect just the way you are. Ken Jennings can stick my walking stick up his bum. @KenJennings Wow. There are so many awful things about that sentence I don’t even know where to start. Jennings did not apologize or delete the Tweet, but he did acknowledge the negative feedback on a subsequent posting. When one user wrote, “Probably your best,” Jennings replied with: “The Internet does not agree.” No way would Watson the Computer have sent that Tweet or thought those thoughts. 16 Great Moments in Game Show History 1. Minnesota Family Constructs GIANT Snow Shark on Lawn: See the Pics!

So, what have you been doing in the frigid weather this winter? Alexander Skarsgård has been sitting naked on a toilet in the South Pole. And three brothers in New Brighton, Minnesota have taken advantage of the Polar Vortex to construct a 20-foot tall share in their snow-filled front yard. Seriously! Austin, Connor and Trevor Bartz say the project took them about three-and-a-half weeks and 95 hours to complete. But, hey, it must have made shoveling the driveway a lot more fun! Look at the incredible photos now: Last year, meanwhile, the same siblings spent 100 hours making an enormous walrus. But we’d say it was time well spent, wouldn’t you?

Jimmy Kimmel revived his always-funny “Lie Witness News” segment last night, asking concert-goers about all the bands at the Rock the Bells 2013 festival. Bands that don’t exist, that is. Like the viral video gold he mined with the same bit at Coachella, Kimmel had a reporter would ask if they were excited to see a particular, bogus group. In typical hipster music-head fashion, the fans proclaimed their love or their distaste for some of the fake acts they were asked about … and even elaborated. Glee paid very emotional tribute to Cory Monteith last night, airing an episode that laid the character of Finn Hudson to rest. It featured heartbreaking songs by the Glee cast as a whole and real-life girlfriend Lea Michele in particular, who somehow managed to belt out a version of ” Make You Feel My Love .” Glee Pays Tribute to Cory Monteith Throughout the installment and soon afterward, various show stars and other celebrities reacted to the episode on Twitter, telling readers how to contribute to charity and also expressing their love for the late actor.
