Lee Daniels Promises ‘Star’ Two-Hour Movie Finale After Show’s Cancellation

The Academy-award nominated director announced on Instagram that he will be wrapping the FOX series up with a “movie of the week.” “We’re going to make something real special for you to scream about with all of our cast members — even the dead ones.” He teased that the finale movie will be a “two hour GAG!” Text “RICKEY” to 71007 to join the Rickey Smiley Morning Show mobile club for exclusive news.  ( Terms and conditions ). Daniels promised that the original cast would be returning for the TV flick including Ryan Destiny,  Brittany O’Grady,  Jude Demorest,  Queen Latifah, Brandy, Amiyah Scott and Quincy Brown. After premiering back in December of 2016,  Star lasted three seasons.  The ratings were satisfactory during its time,  but ratings dropped 11 percent during the third season. After it was decided by network execs that  Empire  would be prioritized because it was going into its last season,   Star  was axed from the lineup. “We looked at our priorities and were trying to prioritize giving  Empire  the send-off it deserves,” FOX Entertainment CEO Charlie Collier told  Deadline . “The move [of  Empire ] to 9 p.m, made it a challenge because  Star  was always the lead-out from  Empire and obviously we don’t have the 10 p.m hour, so it was another tough choice in a year where we were prioritizing Empire  and obviously some of the other shows that we’ve put on the schedule.” After its cancellation,  Daniels pitched  Star to Amazon, BET and OWN but he was unsuccessful. Joy-Anna Duggar Bashed for Sharing Photos with Stillborn Baby

Just a few days ago, Joy-Anna Duggar and her husband, Austin Forsyth, shared some unbelievably tragic news: When they went in for the 20 week scan for Joy-Anna’s pregnancy, the doctor couldn’t detect a heartbeat. Miscarriages typically happen during the first trimester, but for some reason, Joy had one halfway through the gestation – and it was clear that she and Austin were absolutely devastated by the news. Thankfully, as they explained in their social media posts about the news, they’ve been able to find some solace in their faith. “Although we don’t understand why,” they wrote, “God has given us unexplainable peace and comfort during this very difficult time.” “Yes, it still hurts and we have cried countless tears, but we know that we can trust the Lord.” They also revealed that during the scan, they learned that they were going to have a daughter , and that they named her Annabell Elise. As for the meaning behind the name choice, they said “Annabell means ‘God has favored me,’ and Elise means ‘God satisfies.'” “What a precious thing to know that when our daughter opened her eyes, the first thing she saw was the face of Jesus.” Along with their written post, they also shared a photo of Joy in a hospital bed with Austin comforting her. The next day, they shared even more photos, including some with their late daughter . Those are the ones we’re going to be discussing today. In the caption of the photos, Joy wrote “We only had her for 20 weeks, Life is fragile and precious.” “So thankful the Lord gave her to us for that short time! She will be in our hearts forever!” She also thanked her followers for their love and support, and her best friend, Carlin Bates, “for coming to town to be here for me and for doing my hair and makeup for pictures with our little girl!” They didn’t share a photo of Annabell — the most you can see of her is a hat covering her head as Joy holds her. But because she was in the photos at all, and because of Joy’s comments about having her hair and makeup done, a lot of people are feeling a lot of feelings about all of this. As one of their followers said, “This is a very private moment for y’all to be sharing it … sad. Y’all are different.” “OK, that needed to be a private moment,” another Instagram user agreed. “Not something that you get your hair and makeup done and dress up a miscarriage. We are all praying for you but REALLY. Get real!” One person went a step further, commenting “Honestly it seems a little sadistic to me to have a full on photo shoot with a deceased baby, just for likes on the internet. I could never.” Another particularly insensitive comment read “Hair and makeup to take pics with your dead baby?! Jesus sweetheart your families priorities are disgusting.” These are just a small sampling of the comments on Joy and Austin’s Instagram post, but similar things were said in several places across the internet where the Duggars are discussed. And it’s honestly not OK. The loss that Joy has experienced is huge, and one that not everyone will go through. You can judge the Duggars for all sorts of things, but you can’t judge them for she’s grieving now. It’s not uncommon for people to do photo shoots like these to remember the only time they’ll be able to see and hold their child, and if Joy wanted to look nice for such an unimaginably tragic occasion, what harm does it really do? Besides, so many women have already thanked her for, as they see it, being brave enough to share such personal photos because they too have had similar losses, and it’s nice to know they’re not alone. Some may have a hard time looking at these photos, and that’s understandable. Jenelle Evans Details Custody Hearing, Vows: I’m Coming for Jace Next!

Jenelle Evans is not satisfied. She’s happy, yes. But the disgraced former Teen Mom star has made clear in a new interview that she isn’t about to just sit back and enjoy the time with her recently-reunited family… … because one key member is missing. On Wednesday evening, we were among the first outlets to report that Jenelle and her biogted husband, David Eason, had regained custody of Jenelle’s two youngest kids and Eason’s daughter from a previous relationship. The trio of youngsters had been removed by Child Protection Services after Eason admitted to killing the family dog and a judeg decreed that the controversial couple was not maitaining a safe environment for its kids. This took place on May 28 and Evans had spent the past few weeks in and out of court, fighting for the return of her kids. We recapped yesterday’s custody decision and the preceding scandal below: View Slideshow: Jenelle Evans: I’m Getting My Kids Back! “I am ecstatic to regain custody of my kids back!” Jenelle told E! News shortly after the judge reached his latest decision, adding last night: “Through out this long process and final decision, I am excited to be moving forward and continuing to show America I’m a good parent.” This will likely take a lot of convincing, considering all America has seen Jenelle do and say over the years. But Jenelle told Champion Daily after the hearing that the public has the wrong image of her and Eason, explaining that there’s no proof out there at all that they’re kids are being raised in any sort of dangerous home. “[The judge] didn’t find any evidence against us of neglect or abuse of any sort,” Evans now says. She went on to say that Ensley and Kaiser’s teachers described in court how the couple “were as parents for the past two years,” that this helped paint a positive picture of the couple and: “With everything that was presented as evidence, the judge found that CPS only had ‘hearsay.’ What CPS presented didn’t stand up to the definition of abuse or neglect. “When the judge said her decision it was so ‘matter-of-fact’ tone and blunt that I was in shock but bursted out into tears immediately!” As of 10 a.m. EST on July 4, Ensley and Kaiser were ordered to be returned to Jenelle’s home in North Carolina. What about nine-year old Jace, however? He’s been living with his grandmother (and Jenelle’s mother) for a long time now; Barbara Evans is his legal guardian and Jenelle is only permitted to have supervised visits. (She also recently called 911 to ask for a welfare check on the children living under her mom’s roof.) On a roll with the court now, however, Jenelle says she’s determined to change this arrangement. She noted last night that she’s focused on building a stronger relationship with Jace and is then “planning on getting full custody.” Moreover, Jenelle and Eason are attending “parenting classes and substance assessments” in order to better themselves. Earlier this year, MTV cut ties with Evans following the dog killing incident… but Evans says she is just ready to focus on the improving both herself and her reputation as a whole. “I just want to be home with my kids and hear them arguing, hear ‘Mom, I want a snack,’ or hear ‘Goodnight, I love you,’” she told Champion Daily, concluding: “I missed it so much and so glad to have that back.” For the sake of these very young children, let’s hope she means that.

Joy-Anna Duggar Has Suffered a Miscarriage

Heartbreaking news today from two members of the Duggar family. In a lengthy and understandably emotional Instagram post, Joy-Anna Duggar and Austin Forsyth have alerted fans to the following: They’ve lost their baby. Along with the photo above, this is what the couple wrote on its official social media page late Wednesday night: Today marks one week since we heard these words… “So this is your baby’s heart (pointing to the ultrasound screen). I don’t hear a heartbeat or see any movement.” Duggar and Forsyth had announced they were expecting their second child back on May 1, joining a long line of loved ones who were pregnant and looking forward to welcoming a baby later this year. “Our favorite math is addition and we are very excited to share that the Forsyth family is adding a member!” the Counting On stars said at the time, adding: “Marriage and being a mom and dad to Gideon has already far exceeded our expectations. “We are looking forward to loving another little one and seeing what special dynamic he or she brings to our family. Table for 4 sounds perfect!” The couple is already parents to a boy named Gideon. They got married in May of 2017 and Joy-Anna said this spring that she was due in 2019. Tragically, however, this is no longer the case. We had gone in for our 20-week ultrasound and gender reveal. It was a baby girl, they revealed in this new Instagram message , continuing as follows: Although we don’t understand why, God has given us unexplainable peace and comfort during this very difficult time. Yes, it still hurts and we have cried countless tears, but we know that we can trust the Lord. In the words of King David after the loss of his baby, “I shall go to him, but he shall not return to me” (2 Sam 12:23). We don’t grieve as those who have no hope because we trust that we will see this little one again. One in four women suffer a miscarriage. But it’s unusual for this to happen after five months of a pregnancy. We truly cannot imagine what Joy-Anna, who had been excitedly showing off her baby bump , is feeling right now. To conclude their post, she and Austin confirmed the name of their late daughter and wrote: We named her Annabell Elise. Annabell means “God has favored me”, and Elise means “God satisfies”. What a precious thing to know that when our daughter opened her eyes, the first thing she saw was the face of Jesus. Please pray for continued healing, not only physically but for our hearts as well. Joy-Anna wrapped the post with this quote by Fanny Crosby: All the way my Savior leads me; What have I to ask beside? Can I doubt His tender mercy, Who through life has been my Guide? Heavenly peace, divinest comfort, Here by faith in Him to dwell! For I know, whatever befall me, Jesus doeth all things well, For I know, whatever befall me, Jesus doeth all things well. The miscarriage comes less than a month after grandma Mary Duggar’s death, and it also comes while a numner of other Duggars are expecting. Josh and Anna have announced a sixth child is on the way, while Joseph and Kendra are expecting … and so are Josiah and Lauren. Cousin Amy Duggar is also pregnant with her first child. All focus right now is on Joy-Anna and Austin, however. “We were so sad to hear that Joy and Austin’s baby girl passed away mid-way through their pregnancy,” Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar wrote on Instagram in response to this news, adding: “The pain of losing a child is unimaginable. Yet, for the one whose hope is in God, there is a peace that surpasses our finite understanding. “We pray that God will comfort Joy and Austin and carry them through this difficult time.” Wrote Jessa Seewald, who welcomed a daughter this past May: “@AustinandJoyforsyth our hearts are breaking over your loss. “Such beautiful words you’ve written in your post. According to sources from The Sun , the iconic performer walked off the set of the new James Bond movie, Bond 25 , because she didn’t have enough lines. Jones already has Bond experience thanks to her role as the villain May Day in 1985’s A View To A Kill.  The 70-year-old diva was expected to make an epic comeback in the new Bond 25 movie. However, sources say she was not satisfied with her role in the film. It’s a shame too, considering the crew spent loads of money making sure her stay was comfortable. According to sources, the production secured a luxury residence for Ms. Jones to stay in near Pinewood Studios in Buckingshamshire. “Of course, she comes with a reputation, so they organized premium accommodation and rolled out the red carpet on set to make her feel welcome,” one source said. “But it turns out Grace was expecting to play a bigger role in the movie and took her brief cameo as a slight. She was out of there quicker than it takes to rustle up a martini.” Damn. Grace’s cameo was first rumored back in April and it was expected to involve a scene with Daniel Craig . Ever since the movie started production, things have been pretty hectic. The original director of the movie, Danny Boyle , quit in August 2018 over the direction of the script. Then, earlier this month, outrage erupted on set after Boyle’s replacement, Cary Fukunaga , skipped filming to play on his Playstation, according to sources. This is a rumor he eventually denied , however. Despite all the chaos, Bond 35 is still scheduled to hit theaters on April 3 of next year.

Lil Nas X was coming out! Yay! But coming out as what, exactly? Almost instantly, major publications like USA Today and Los Angeles Times   published headlines along the lines of “Lil Nas X Comes Out As Gay,” despite the 20-year-old never confirming his sexuality. Although publications like CNN claim sources close to Lil Nas confirm he’s gay, the young star still hasn’t had a moment to publicly define is sexuality for himself. For some folks, this might be a petty observation, but for people who’ve spent much of their life trying to understand their sexuality, it can be an ongoing journey trying to figure out your identity. Lil Nas could easily be bisexual, pansexual, queer or he might not want to label his sexuality just yet. The subject becomes even more complicated due to his trolling humor. On Twitter, the singer-rapper has already posted cryptic words like “just cuz i’m gay don’t mean i’m not straight.” just cuz i’m gay don’t mean i’m not straight — nope (@LilNasX) July 1, 2019   Then, on Instagram, he posted a clip of his song “Panini” with the words, “just cuz i’m gay don’t mean i’m gay.” View this post on Instagram A post shared by Lil Nas X (@lilnasx) on Jun 30, 2019 at 6:17pm PDT   Does this mean he likes girls too? Is he here for all the genders? Is he trolling us? WE NEED ANSWERS! Lil Nas X’s “coming out” saga reminds me of another important coming out moment — Frank Ocean ‘s. In 2012, he released a letter describing romantic relationships he’s had with women and men. Automatically, publications like The Washington Post wrote headlines like “Frank Ocean Comes Out As Bisexual.” But again, Frank never mentioned in his letter that he identified as bisexual. He simply said “I was in love.” Some people might have the need to know for sure someone’s sexuality or the specifics of their “coming out,” and this isn’t necessarily an odd feeling depending on the context. It’s hard out here in the dating world and some folks just want to know if they have a chance with their celebrity crush. However, Lil Nas X is teaching us that there are levels to this. He might never mention his sexuality again. He might even leave us guessing for years about what his tweets really mean. Meanwhile, he could be living his best gay life…or straight life…or straight life with a side of gay. Lil Nas also has to figure out the ways he wants to be “out.” Will he be sharing pictures of his future partners on social media? Will he dish on navigating his sexuality in queer-antagonistic spaces? These are questions he must answer for himself, after the pride flags come down, after the last floats set sail in a parade. Although being out publicly is great and has social awareness benefits, anyone understanding their sexual identity must move on their own time. Until the full story comes out (and if it comes out), we’ll just have to be satisfied with Lil Nas’ trolling tweets.

Today In Ironic Twists: 2 Florida Men Brawl Because One of Them Showers Too Much

Folks, we’re gonna be honest — we don’t really know what’s going on here. We’ve brought you many, many Florida Man stories over the years, and usually, they’re bizarre and trashy, and they frequently involve gators and/or dynamite —  but they always make some sort of sense , and it’s generally pretty easy to figure out the motives of the principal players. This one, however, has thrown us for a loop. Is it opposite day? Are we in Bizarro World? Is M. Night Shyamalan writing the news today? Whatever the case this is a twist that no one could have seen coming. Pasco County resident Byron Christianoudis, 48, was arrested this week after he allegedly attacked his 70-year-old roommate. Abnormal behavior by the standards of any other state, but pretty standard Florida Man stuff so far. But here’s the twist: Christianoudis attacked his elderly roomie because the man accused him of taking too many showers! Frankly, we didn’t know that anyone, anywhere in the world took issue with their roommates being too hygienic. And we definitely didn’t know that this happens in Florida, where a single ride on Splash Mountain is generally considered to be sufficient bathing for an entire summer. Now, we probably don’t need to tell you that this was not Mr. Christianoudis’ first arrest. No, the original Greek Freak was taken into custody in 2015 after he was caught masturbating on a public beach. Christianoudis was allegedly looking at an adult woman and a girl who were seated near water’s edge. Asked what motivated this nauseating act of self-pleasure, Christianoudis offered the following explanation: “My girlfriend was out of town and I miss her.” Clearly, dude is an old school romantic. At first, it might seem like these two incidents have nothing to do with one another — but we’d like to posit that there may be a connection Byron’s roommate was upset by how much time he was spending in the shower. Byron’s roommate probably knew about his previous arrest and the effect that water seems to have on Mr. Christianoudis. You see what we’re getting at? We’re sure the poor roommate eventually reached the point where he could no longer convince himself that the stalactites on the bathroom ceiling were the result of violent sneezing fits brought on by Byron’s extreme allergy to body wash. Must See TV: Oakland Raiders Will Be On This Upcoming Season of HBO’s ‘Hard Knocks’

When HBO’s all-access show Hard Knocks returns, the Oakland Raiders and all of their dysfunction will take center stage this season. The team made it official yesterday in Tweet announcing their participation with the show which is now in its 14th season. So that means all upcoming ridiculous moves made by head coach Jon Gruden and the front office will be on camera. From obvious stars to guys you might not know — yet. Five Raiders poised for breakout roles on @HBO 's Hard Knocks: https://t.co/jld76sn2tH — Oakland Raiders (@Raiders) June 12, 2019 Too bad Marshawn Lynch won’t be around this season, we definitely would have loved to see unfiltered Beast Mode in action. But that’s okay cause former ESPN analyst Jon Gruden and his band of misfits will supply all the entertainment we need in the 5 episode behind the scenes look at the upcoming training camp for the team. Based on his previous ridiculous decisions like trading away Khalil Mack and wide receiver Amari Cooper, we are sure Gruden got some more insane moves up his sleeve. We can’t also forget the Raiders bringing in problematic star wide receiver Antonio Brown who left his former team the Pittsburgh Steelers after calling out his former QB Ben Rothelsberger and JuJu Smith-Schuster. If that is not enough dysfunction for you, the Raiders for some reason picked up habitually suspended linebacker Vontaze Burfict as well as unretired offensive lineman and well-known bully Richie Incognito. HBO couldn’t have asked for a more perfect team honestly. In press release Raiders’ owner Mark Davis added : “Everybody wants to be a Raider. Now they’ll find out what it takes to become one.” We expect the drama to be off the charts when the show premieres this year on HBO.
