Jillian Harris and Ed Swiderski seemed to be making their relationship work despite rumors of his rampant infidelity in the run-up to their Bachelorette engagement. But did his cheating ways return, and were they responsible for the couple’s split , which we reported yesterday? That’s the rumor, according to friends of the pair. “We think Ed was doing shady stuff during their relationship,” an inside source said of Swiderski. “Jillian knew all along but couldn’t quite put her finger on it.” We’re guessing Lindsey Johnson and Bethany Steffen can relate. Friends recall an incident a month-and-a-half ago when the pair flew to L.A. from Chicago and Jillian stayed with girlfriends while Ed stayed with the guys. Was Ed Swiderski screwing around behind Jill’s back? The morning after they had a night out on the town, the pals had an early tee-time to play golf but when they went to pick up Ed Swiderski, he couldn’t make it. “I believe what happened was he had a girl with him and had no way to get her out of the house,” revealed the inside source . “They all knew he was a player.” Jillian Harris became the star of The Bachelorette after she was rejected by Jason Mesnick in the preceding season of The Bachelor . He married Molly Malaney. Former Bachelor contestants close to her say she was happy, but knew there was trouble brewing. “Jillian thought that she could change him,” says the insider. Brandy and Flo Rida are definitely close. But are they dating? Let’s ask the sister of Ray J herself. “I’ve seen the photos of me and Flo Rida,” Brandy writes on Vibe.com. “I don’t want to say that we’re a couple.” But, the singer/actress also goes on to note … “I can definitely say that he’s somebody in my life and I’m definitely interested but I’m not serious with anybody. I’m a little bit afraid to give my heart away right now. It’s very scary.” Hmm. She’s dropping hints, Flo Rida! You better be worth it! Another reason the singer’s so cautious. Daughter Sy’rai. Is Flo Rida spinnin’ Brandy’s head right round? “My daughter hasn’t seen me with anybody in five years,” she writes. “I’m very selective when it comes to that because I want to make sure that it’s real. The rap star cheered her on as she blew candles out and the two were spotted holding hands and getting “snuggly.” They’re totally hitting it, who are we kidding. Former Bachelorette star Jillian Harris didn’t care for Vienna Girardi. She’s not the only one, either. The woman chosen by Bachelor star Jake Pavelka, who Jillian turned down on her season, was not exactly a fan favorite. But after getting to know Vienna Girardi , Jillian’s changed her tune. “She’s a doll. I like her as a person,” Harris said . “I saw how she brought out a better side of him.” As for the best advice she can give Jake and Vienna? From The Bachelorette to Extreme Makeover: Home Edition! The lovely Jillian Harris recently traveled to Slaughterville, Okla., where she pitched in to rebuild the home of Brian and Audra Skaggs, whose two-year-old son, Jhett, has a weakened immune system after receiving a heart transplant. “The Skaggs reminded me of ‘ my kind of people ,” says Jillian, who is still engaged to Bachelorette winner Ed Swiderski. “They love country music, campfires, family.” Something about that hard hat definitely suits Jill, too … Jillian Harris is never afraid to get her hands dirty . The Bachelor Sneak Peek: Ali’s Shocking Return!

Having taken herself out of the running last week, Ali Fedotowsky returns to The Bachelor tonight … at least over the phone. Who would have guessed? We did. Not only because The Bachelor spoilers we’ve been posting all season long predicted it, but because THIS SAME SCENARIO HAPPENED already. Just last summer, even. Ed Swiderski left The Bachelorette to return to work, then flew back unannounced and asked Jillian Harris for a second chance. He went on to win. Will the cute, blonde Ali Fedotowsky achieve a similar shocking, not-at-all staged comeback victory? That’s another question entirely. One thing’s for sure, though. When she calls Jake Pavelka tonight and asks to return to The Bachelor , he puts on his best “trying to look shocked” face: Cameras happen to be both Ali’s and Jake’s rooms at 6:05 a.m. What are the odds?
