The Situation on Jersey Shore Season Three: Good, Hilarious Times Ahead

The Situation got out of control bit in Miami. But with the new season of Jersey Shore set to kick off in Seaside Heights, he promises better days ahead. Hilarious, less dramatic days. “In Miami, it was a little wild,” The Situation, also known as Mike Sorrentino, admitted. “But we’re back in New Jersey now and you have that sense of being comfortable, because we’re back home . I really think this season is hilarious.” The Situation promises (moderately) better behavior this winter. Whether he was mauling grenades in nightclub bathrooms, moving in on Vinny’s girl or housing a sandwich while watching Pauly D bone, Mike was out of hand. New episodes (watch the Jersey Shore Season 3 trailer here) kick off Thursday and are focused less on sexual shenanigans and more on straightforward fun. “I’ll be honest with you, we kind of went a little crazy,” Sitch says of Season 2. “For me, [the new season] was a time that we were just into enjoying ourselves.” “There are many different little funny things. I really think it’s hilarious. As well as the new castmate ( Deena Nicole Cortese ) that’s here. She shakes things up.”

Between Tweeting nasty insults about her ex-fiance and posing like Miley Cyrus , Kelly Osbourne has found time to meet a new man. An insider tells Us Weekly that Osbournce spent “most of the holidays in the UK lying in bed depressed until her friends finally dragged her out to a club.” Once there, she met Rob Damiani, who fronts a band called Don Broco. “She was standing against a wall not having fun and not really talking to anyone and out of no where a boy came up to her and started chatting her up,” a source says . “They were pretty inseparable from that point on.” Now? “It’s like the old Kelly is back,” says the friend. “She’s happy and glowing!”

Michelle Williams Speaks on Heath Ledger, Can’t Find Meaning in Actor’s Death

Michelle Williams is still struggling to find meaning in the passing of ex-husband Heath Ledger. In an interview with Nightline that aired last night, the Blue Valentine star said: “I can find meanings in things and people and relationships that have sprung up and friendships that have strengthened. I found a lot of meaning in that… but not in ‘why.’” Michelle Williams – Nightline Interview Williams battled back tears at many points in the discussion, touching on a range of subjects that included the months that followed Ledger’s death, as well as the state of the couple’s child, Matilda. Excerpts are below. On the years after his death : “In a strange way, I miss that year, because all those possibilities that existed then are gone. It didn’t seem unlikely to me that he could walk through a door or could appear behind a bush. It was a year of very magical thinking, and in some ways I’m sad to be moving further and further away from it.” On providing Matilda with a normal childhood : “It’s going well. We’re doing a good job of it. It is of more importance to me than anything in my life. I would rearrange anything to make that possible. If something starts to encroach on that it’s going to be removed from the equation.”

But according to a new study, two programs on the network may actually benefit society. America’s teen birth rate plummeted in 2009 after rising from 2005 to 2007, and experts say 16 and Pregnant and Teen Mom open youths’ eyes. Teen Mom’s Maci Bookout and son Bentley . THG recently debated whether Teen Mom glorifies teen pregnancy . According to The National Campaign to Prevent Teen and Unplanned Pregnancy, it may do the reverse, as 82 percent of teens say the shows help them understand the challenges of pregnancy and parenthood – and why they should avoid it . “Entertainment media is one of the nation’s favorite punching bags, but it can be and often is a force for good,” says group spokesman Bill Albert. “Some critics say these shows glamorize teen pregnancy, but our survey data shows that’s not the case — that not only do they not glamorize it, but teens who have seen it suggest it makes the realities of teen parenthood more real to them.” It’s true … Amber Portwood is basically a living, breathing deterrent. Chronicling the travails of teen moms and dads through rocky relationships and the emotional swings of having a baby, 16 and Pregnant debuted in 2009. Its spinoff, Teen Mom , has followed the cast in subsequent months and years. MTV just released a trailer for Teen Mom 2 , featuring a new crop of moms. While it remains to be seen if the success (and paydays) of the original cast members send the opposite message going forward, this is encouraging. A positive message getting across. From MTV. While Cyrus continues to face the repercussions of her salvia-smoking , her So Undercover co-star continues to show Miley nothing but support. Via Twitter last night, Osbourne posted the following photo: Kelly captioned this pic with “I’m just being Miley!” Osbourne, of course, knows all about troubled life in the spotlight. She has entered rehab on three separate occasions for an addiction to painkillers. She was also arrested for assault in August 2008. Since then, the former reality star has turned her life around, losing a chunk of weight, becoming active in the GLBT community and making it to the finals of Dancing with the Stars . Now, as evidenced by her pose above, Kelly wants just one thing when it comes to Miley and her critics: Peace.
