MC Chris Apologizes for Giving Concert Goer the Boot

MC Chris has taken to YouTube to apologize for his behavior at a concert in Philadelphia on Tuesday night. Here’s what went down: An attendee named Mike Taylor posted a Tweet that was critical of MC’s opening act, Richie Branson. He then went to the lobby and couldn’t believe his ears, as Chris apparently read the message and called Taylor out on stage.

My name is Dani and November 26 2010 & June 23rd 2011…

My name is Dani and November 26 2010 & June 23rd 2011 were officially the best days of my LIFE! I found out one day in November that Justin would be at Barnes and Noble on 11/26/10. You have to buy First Step 2 Forever and then you got to meet him and only a certain amount of people were aloud to get in! Knowing my mom would wait all night with me to get in because we have done it before to see him in concert at the today show and since she’s a belieber also i asked her! The day of the event Justin got there after being a little late and everyone started screaming! They called next and we walked to a curtain and stood next to it and Justin was right behind it, I really couldn’t breathe. I was officially next in line and I was shaking so badly, it was crazy. A bodyguard who worked for the store put her hand on my heart and realized how fast it was beating and was like, “You have to calm down and started laughing”, and then all of a sudden I heard someone behind the curtain scream NEXT! I ran as fast as I could to get to be next to Justin in the picture and I was! He quickly said hi and we took the picture. Everyone else in the picture just walked away as soon as the picture was taken and didn’t say anything and I just stayed there and I was speechless. Completely speechless. I just looked at him and smiled and couldn’t even move. I gave him the biggest hug I probably have ever gave someone and he hugged me back and smiled he said bye and i was like, I LOVE YOU SO MUCH. I promised my mom before that I wouldn’t cry but as I walked away from Justin, I became a mess. I honestly went ballistic. I wouldn’t stop crying for hours, honestly hours. I thought that was the best day of my life but I was wrong. I knew Justin would be at Letterman, The View, Today Show and a meet and greet at Macys for his new perfume Someday!  I asked my mom to go and she said there was a lot going on that night but I can skip the last day of school and we will go into the city at about 9:00AM and just go to every place that he would be and see if there were anymore Macy’s meet and greets available. The women said actually, this is our last one! I was in complete shock.  I was convinced I wouldn’t be able to meet Justin but now I knew the next day I would be able to.   I started crying and my mom was like “You’re already crying!? You didn’t even meet him yet!” I was so thankful! Later that day we went to David Letterman to see Justin and we missed him by 5 minutes. We decided not to go The View and only go to Letterman and the Today Show. The next morning me and my mom woke up extremely early and went over to the Today Show (we slept in the city that night).  I wasn’t far back in the line at all! Since it wasn’t a concert he was doing an interview and he did it outside. We got put around a big square and waited for Justin to come out! He came out and did a interview and started meeting every single person there!  He came up to me and I took the picture and we both looked at each other and smiled really big to each other! He was holding a bottle of Someday and said, WANT A SPRAY!?  In the cutest, sweetest voice and I’m like yes of course!! He looked at me and smiled! But everyone was kinda pushing him to come closer to them so he had to go and he went to the next person but i went to give him a hug but there was a barricade in between us so it was pretty hard so he kinda just took my arm and held it for a few seconds and we both just looked at each other and at my arm and smiled! I was in such shock i forgot to ask him to sign my phone case! While he was in the middle of meeting the person next to me I said, “JUSTIN I FORGOT, CAN YOU PLEASE SIGN MY PHONE CASE!?” and he was like sure and signed it! Once again, I went ballistic! Later that day we went to Macy’s to meet Justin once more that day! I waited on the line for a little bit and while I was waiting I saw Adam Braun and Scooter and said hi to both of them! After waiting on that line for a while it was finally my turn! They told my mom no cameras or recording anything so she couldnt record when I met Justin. I saw Kenny and some other members of Justin’s team right before I went up to meet him and said hi to them and they were so nice! FInally a security guard screams NEXT! I was next. I walk over to Justin and he was like, “Hii! How are you?” and I’m like, “I’m good what about you?”He said he’s fine! I then said “Justin how are from when you fell outside?” He smiled really wide and said, ”I’m really good actually, thanks so much!” We took the picture and I wrapped my arms around him and he wrapped his around me also! We talked a little bit more and kids, security guards, honestly everyone near us was screaming at me so badly because me and Justin were talking for so long while everyone had like 0.5 seconds with him. I walked off and I gave him another giant hug and he gave me one right back! We smiled at each other as we said bye to each other and then i said I LOVE YOU! My mom looks at me and goes, “That was honestly incredible, I can’t even explain how amazing and happy both of you looked” and she was smiling so big and was so happy for me! I started hysterically crying… again. I saw my picture and couldn’t even believe my eyes, right there, was me hugging Justin Bieber. If I could explain to anyone how amazing these 2 days were to me, I would go on for years and years. I now have my leather jacket that I wore when I met Justin for the first time sitting on one of my cardboard cutouts of him that NO ONE is aloud to touch. The shirt I wore when I met Justin at the Today Show and the meet and greet necklace you had to wear when you met him, my signed phone case by him and a Someday water bottle that they gave out at Macys all sitting in a Shadow box! For my birthday, one of my presents was a cardboard cutout of the picture of me and Justin from Macy’s! Justin is an amazing person and if any of you have never met him, NEVER SAY NEVER View original post here: My name is Dani and November 26 2010 & June 23rd 2011…

By James Dinh Brandy on “When I Was 17” Photo: MTV Sometimes celebrities get starstruck too — just ask Brandy. In the latest episode of “When I Was 17,” the singer-turned-reality starlet opens up about meeting Michael Jackson, thanks to producer Rodney Jerkins. “When I was 17, my producer Rodney Jerkins was working with Michael Jackson at the time,” Brandy says in the episode, premiering Saturday at 11 a.m. ET on MTV. “He knew how much I wanted to meet Michael Jackson, so he says, ‘Would you like to come and meet him?’ I’m like, ‘Are you serious? Of course I want to meet Michael Jackson! Where do I meet you? Where do we come?’ ” And it wasn’t just Jerkins who knew about the singer’s admiration for Jackson. “Michael Jackson was it, so we studied Michael. Brandy studied Michael,” her brother Ray J says. Brandy says the super-producer orchestrated the meeting between the siblings and Jackson at the recording studio. However, prior to entering the room, Brandy says nerves got the best of her. “My heart is beating so fast at this point,” the “Dancing With the Stars” alum recalls. “I’m like, ‘Oh my God. It’s happening. We’re about to open the door and he’s going to be in there.’ ” Ray J, who was equally excited, peeped around the room, saying, “When we first walked into the studio, we can kind of see Michael in the corner and we looked at each other like, ‘Did you see him?’ ” Unfortunately, Brandy, couldn’t maintain the same type as composure. “And I’m looking at him like, ‘Oh my God. This is Michael Jackson,’ ” adding, “I fainted, blacked out — like seriously blacked out.” “When I Was 17” airs Saturdays at 11 a.m. ET on MTV. Related Artists Brandy

‘Tron Legacy’ Star Olivia Wilde Recalls ‘Heart-Pounding’ Fight Scene

‘I was slammed back up against my chair, just overwhelmed by how awesome this movie turned out to be,’ actress tells MTV News. By Eric Ditzian, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Olivia Wilde Photo: MTV News “I was slammed back up against my chair, just overwhelmed by how awesome this movie turned out to be,” Olivia Wilde told us about watching “Tron Legacy” for the first time. It’s hard to disagree agree with the 26-year-old actress, who plays the bob-haired Quorra in the film. “Tron” is easily the most visually arresting film of the year, almost an art film made on a $170 million budget and filled with a handful of kick-ass fight sequences. The high-tech fisticuffs come courtesy of 87eleven, the stunt team behind brawls in “300,” “Iron Man 2” and the “Matrix” films. Of all the throw-downs, though, Wilde counts one in particular as her favorite. It comes late in the film, takes place in a computer-generated hotspot called the End of the Line club and pits Wilde and co-star Garrett Hedlund against a slew of bad guys. “It’s choreography we worked on for four months,” she said. “They showed us the choreography, and Garrett and I looked at each other and were like, ‘That’s not going to happen! We’re not going to be able to do that. That’s crazy stuff.’ And four months later, there we were doing it and enjoying it — really loving it. “When I saw the finished product of that scene, it’s so intense and beautiful and heart-pounding,” she added. “I was so proud.” Not only was Wilde proud, the entire production gave her the confidence to know that she could accomplish far more in front of the camera than she ever suspected. “It kind of proved to me I could really go outside my comfort zone,” she said. “This movie was the biggest physical transformation I’ve ever made. Also, a departure from my personality, more than any other character.” Check out everything we’ve got on “Tron Legacy.” For breaking news, celebrity columns, humor and more — updated around the clock — visit MTVMoviesBlog.com . Lee DeWyze’s Friends Confident He’ll Make ‘American Idol’ Finale

‘There is no doubt in my mind, and never has been, that this kid is going to the finale,’ Amy Silverman tells MTV News. By Gil Kaufman Lee DeWyze Photo: FOX Nobody wants to get too cocky, because, well, you never know how America is going to act, but on Wednesday morning (May 19), Lee DeWyze’s supporters were feeling pretty bullish about the former paint-store clerk ‘s chances of making it to the “American Idol” finale next week. “Seriously? What can I say, but unbelievable!” said Amy Silverman, Lee’s close friend and former teacher at Forest View Alternative school, which the 24-year-old singer attended after dropping out of his more traditional high school. “He is truly the greatest that has ever been on that stage, and he proved that last night with ‘Simple Man’ and ‘Hallelujah’ ! We had over 500 people that filled the entire restaurant/bar . Goose bumps and tears were flowing throughout the entire place.” Silverman said she could not stop shedding tears of pride and joy at seeing how far the onetime troubled teen has come. “The thing about Lee is, he touches every single person that listens to him … from 5-year-olds to 85-year-olds. … There is no doubt in my mind, and never has been, that this kid is going to the finale, and I am honored to be able to be there, watching with pride and excitement!” Brian Friedopfer, an old friend of Lee’s who has watched his pal sing “Simple Man” for years in karaoke bars and at shows, said he was shaking for an hour after Tuesday night’s show. “I was just so happy for him. It’s about time,” Friedopfer said of watching the breakout performance night he knew was coming from his friend. “I was speechless. My wife and I were watching [the ‘Hallelujah’ cover] together, and we looked at each other and were like, ‘Wow!’ We rewound it and watched it again and said, ‘Holy crap!’ I’ve never heard him sing that song, and I was a bit worried about it when he told me that Simon chose it for him.” But Lee reassured Friedopfer that he could tackle the iconic Leonard Cohen tune that has famously been covered by everyone from the late Jeff Buckley to former “Idol” contestants Jason Castro and Tim Urban. “Before he started, I was really nervous, but as soon as he started singing, I was like, ‘Wow.’ I couldn’t believe it,” he said. “When I was in Los Angeles during Elvis Week , he joked that at some point, he would have a full choir behind him for one song, and of course, he pulled it out the week before the finale!” The performances left Friedopfer convinced that Lee will make it to the finale — well, assuming America wasn’t so blown away they forgot to vote. “He should be there, but it’s anybody’s game, because people are finicky,” he said. “Especially since they basically crowned him last night, he might have lost votes because of that. But people like an underdog, and it would be a shame if he wasn’t in the finale.” Do you think Lee is a lock for the finale? Let us know in the comments!
