Arresting Thomas Bruce on Wednesday ended a two-day manhunt for the sick offender. CBS News reports: Authorities allege that Bruce entered the store and said he was shopping, then left briefly before returning with a handgun. He forced the three women into the back room, told them to strip, exposed himself and ordered them to “perform deviant sexual acts on him,” detectives wrote in the criminal complaint. Two of the women complied but the third, 53-year-old Jamie Schmidt of nearby House Springs, refused, so he shot her in the head, they wrote. The attacker ordered the other women to continue performing the sexual acts on him, and he later fled, apparently able to blend in along the busy street in broad daylight. Another one?!?! Tension is at an all time high in Missouri after a suburban St. Louis officer killed 18-year-old Antonio Martin just two miles from the city where Mike Brown was murdered. Details are skimpy but some witnesses report that after Martin was shot (and still breathing) officers allowed his body to lay in the street for two hours before his corpse was carted away in an unmarked van. Sound familiar???? The Saint Louis Post-Dispatch reports: A Berkeley police officer fatally shot a suspect who pointed a gun at him late Tuesday, St. Louis County police said early today. Police did not identify the person killed but Toni Martin, who was at the scene, said he was her 18-year-old son, Antonio Martin. Several protesters also arrived at the scene shortly after the shooting. Many stayed overnight. St. Louis County police said the incident started about 11:15 p.m. Tuesday as the Berkeley officer “was conducting a routine business check” at the Mobil gas station at 6800 North Hanley Road. The officer saw two people outside the station, got out of his vehicle and approached them. One of the suspects pulled out a handgun and fired at the officer. “Fearing for his life, the Berkeley Officer fired several shots, striking the subject, fatally wounding him,” the release from the county police said. “The second subject fled the scene.” Berkeley police requested that the county department’s Crimes Against Persons Unit handle the investigation of the shooting. Detectives “recovered the deceased subject’s handgun at the scene,” the release from county police said. For at least two hours, the body remained on the parking lot just in front of the gas station as police investigated the shooting. Berkeley police cars were on either side. A Berkeley police car was later towed away. The station appeared to have security cameras that are trained on the parking lot. Toni Martin said her son was with his girlfriend at the time of the shooting. The girlfriend remained at the scene but declined to talk to a reporter. Just after the shooting, several dozen people gathered outside the gas station, which was ringed by crime scene tape. The crowd at the station included ministers and some of the people who have been active in the protests related to the fatal shooting of Michael Brown, 18, by a Ferguson police officer in August. At one point, as some of the protesters grew rowdy, explosive flashes were set off. It was unclear by who. This ish is CRAZY, 2014 couldn’t even end before we had another shooting!!! Expect to hear a LOT more details in the near future, this story is still developing… Twitter
After a St. Louis County Police Department spokesperson said the Rams apologized for their players’ use of the ‘hands up’ gesture during Sunday’s game, the NFL team denied that apology.
No wonder they don’t want cell phones and cameras around… Missouri Officer Suspended After Threatening To Kill Peaceful Protester SMH. If this is the kind of footage rolling in with photos and recording on such restriction , imagine what isn’t being caught on film in Ferguson each day… Peep the video here: And another protester’s perspective here: Via MailOnline : An unnamed police officer from St. Ann, Missouri, has been relieved of duty and suspended indefinitely after he was caught on camera pointing an assault rifle at a protester, in Ferguson, on Tuesday night. The officer was supposed to part of the effort to keep peace, but instead two separate videos uploaded to YouTube on Wednesday show him pointing a semi-automatic assault rifle at protestors and shouting: ‘I will f****** kill you.’ The incident happened just before midnight on Tuesday during the latest of several protests that have followed the August 9 shooting death of 18-year-old Michael Brown by a Ferguson police officer. On the video, a man is heard saying, ‘Oh my God! Gun raised!’ as the officer approaches. The identity of the man who shot the video is not known. ‘My hands are up, bro! My hands are up!’ the man said. The officer walks near the man with his gun pointed and appears to say, ‘I will f****** kill you.’ Another protestor then asks the officer to identify himself. ‘What’s your name, sir?’ he asks. ‘Go f*** yourself,’ the officer replies. In another video, protestors can be heard shouting at the officer to lower his weapon. St. Louis County police spokesman Brian Schellman said a county police sergeant took immediate action, telling the officer to lower the weapon and escorting him from the area. The officer was suspended indefinitely on Wednesday afternoon. ‘A St. Ann Police Officer pointed a semi-automatic assault rifle at a peaceful protestor after a verbal exchange. ‘It was at this time a St. Louis County Police Sergeant walked over and immediately took action, forcing the officer to lower the weapon, and escorting him away from the area,’ said a statement from the county police department. ‘The unified command strongly feel these actions are inappropriate, and not indicative of the officers who have worked daily, to keep the peace.’ At lease Officer Go-Fawk-Yourself was taken off duty…so we’re told. But how many more are on the grounds like him? These cops are getting drunk with power and seem to feel that they ARE the law rather than the protectors/enforcers of it.
