Watch Ryan Gosling Make a Fool of Himself in New Ides of March Clip

Whether he is heroically stopping (and then resolving ) New York City street fights, making spooky dioramas for journalists or dispensing cryptic sex advice to paparazzi , Ryan Gosling can do no wrong. This point has never been more clear than in the latest clip for Ides of March , George Clooney’s fall political thriller, in which the actor flirts with a campaign intern (Evan Rachel Wood) whose name he clearly doesn’t remember.

REVIEW: Crazy, Stupid, Love. Isn’t Nearly Crazy Enough, But At Least There’s Gosling

Crazy, Stupid, Love. is, for the most part, an effective love story, but the two figures in thrall to one another aren’t the ones you think: The magnetism between the movie’s two male stars, Steve Carell and Ryan Gosling, is what really makes the movie tick. The women — and we’re talking about women like Julianne Moore, Emma Stone, Marisa Tomei and coltish relative newcomer Annaleigh Tipton — almost function as accessories, although, as wonderful as these actresses are, that still isn’t necessarily a liability. Everyone in Crazy, Stupid, Love. is served well by Glenn Ficarra and John Requa’s crisp, intelligent direction. Their instincts keep the story moving deftly; if only, right at the finish line, the movie didn’t suffer from a giant failure of nerve.

Oscar Nudity: Actresses Dig for Oscar Gold Playing Strippers and Hookers [PICS]

Though he is considerably less bald and golden, Mr. Skin has at least one thing in common with Mr. Oscar: an abiding love of onscreen ladies of the night. Common sense in Tinseltown states that if an actress wants the gods of the Academy to smile upon her, she should play a stripper, a hooker, or a nun. We here at Skin Central are biased towards the strippers and the hookers ( though nuns aren’t always so bad ), so we’re turning on the red light for this skinspiratonal sampling of actresses who’ve gone from walking the streets to walking the red carpet. Perhaps the most famous cinema call girl is Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman (1990) . Julia charmed the Academy into a Best Actress nom after charming Richard Gere out of his pants as the ultimate hooker with a heart of gold. Body double Shelly Michelle serves most of the skin in this flick, but in one scene Jules lets a definite nip slip while rolling in the sack. Elisabeth Shue also works hard for her money- hard enough to win an Oscar for her performance as a streetwalker in Leaving Las Vegas (1996) . The scene where she pours Nicholas Cage a tequila body shot in the desert sun still has Mr. Skin all hot and bothered. Way back in her Hanoi Jane days, Jane Fonda got liberated as a happy hooker in Klute (1971) – and got a little gold man for her trouble. Most of Jane’s nudity in the film is woefully under-lit, but her nice perky lil’ right nip pops up in this well-lit scene. More recently, Marisa Tomei took off her top to pay the bills in The Wrestler (2008) . Mr. Skin thought that Marissa’s hooters were rays of sunshine in the otherwise relentlessly downbeat film, and the Academy must have agreed, since they rewarded her with an Oscar nom. Grab a handful of sweaty bills, because we’ve barely stroked the tip of the nude iceberg of skinema sex work , and Mr. Skin is gonna make it rain! Stay tuned for more Academy-Award winning nudity all this week on the Mr. Skin blog !

Lady Gaga Salutes Town That Made Her ‘Brave’ At MSG

Gaga shouts out Liza Minnelli, Marisa Tomei and a gay unicorn in the second of two hometown shows. By Vaughn Schoonmaker Lady Gaga performs at Madison Square Garden on Sunday Photo: Kevin Mazur/ WireImage NEW YORK — “Tonight, in the town where the gays birthed me, you can be free!” Lady Gaga announced at her Monster Ball show Tuesday night at Madison Square Garden. On this second night in her hometown, Lady Gaga was being filmed by HBO for her concert special that will air in early May. And though it wasn’t her first time playing MSG, she still felt the significance of headlining the venue. “I used to live 20 blocks from here, so I saw all those names go up on the marquis, and I always wanted to see my name up in those lights. “You made me brave, little monsters,” she informed her squealing fans of all ages, “and New York made me brave.” Liza Minnelli and Marisa Tomei were both in the audience, and Gaga asked for her monsters to cheer on the two women, who she said greatly influenced her. “I don’t lip-synch,” Gaga reminded the audience who was already quite aware of that impressive fact, considering all of the heavy dancing mixed with extended high notes. “I’m not going to waste your time watching some bitch lip-synch her way to an HBO special, especially not with Liza watching.” Gaga recently said in an interview that she would want Marisa Tomei, above anyone else, to play her in a movie. While performing all of her hits from The Fame and The Fame Monster, Gaga took plenty of time to speak to the crowd directly, and her witty banter had the room laughing every moment they weren’t cheering their lungs out. Someone in the audience held up a bright purple unicorn stuffed animal, and Gaga caught sight of it when flashing her disco stick flashlight around the crowd. “That is the most fabulous gay unicorn I have ever seen,” she remarked, as straight-faced as ever. “The only thing better than a unicorn is a gay unicorn.” The evening flowed seamlessly from the moment Gaga took the stage with her dark pop tune, “Dance in the Dark,” disguising her dozen or so costume changes with dazzling art videos. The videos often depicted Gaga in a pose or in extreme slow motion, creating the sense of a moving portrait, surrounded by driving club dance beats. Some of the images included tears of blood, neon-green vomit, gothic clothing and bondage attire. The show itself could be an installment at a high-end gallery. Gaga’s incessant devotion to LGBT rights was in full effect during her two hours on stage. She called a fan in the audience, Jimmy DiPasquale, who had made a generous donation to her LGBT youth fund, to thank him personally. At the end of “Alejandro,” while the beat continued to thump, two of her male backup dancers took the stage and made out passionately as the curtain came down. As Gaga drove the night toward her two encores of “Bad Romance” and new single “Born This Way,” she looked on the verge of tears and announced, “This is the last of five sold-out shows here, but I hope this song and this record bring us back here next year.” Related Photos Lady Gaga’s Madison Square Garden Performance Related Artists Lady Gaga
