You won’t catch Selena Gomez Twerking or riding a wrecking ball without any clothes in the near future. In the new issue of Teen Vogue , the 21-year old star doesn’t criticize Miley Cyrus or any other provocative young artist, but she does make it clear: That just isn’t her personality. “Part of you wants to have that rebellious feeling where you’re just like, forget it, ‘I can do anything I want,” Selena admits. “I’ve tried it, and I’ve never been that girl. I’m always going to be the girl you want to take home to your parents, not for the night.” Gomez doesn’t mention ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber by name at any point, but she does reference both her past dating life and a possible future one. “I like to say I have a good sense of judgment, but I know that not everybody does,” she says. “The older I’ve gotten, the more I’ve learned that I have to open myself up to all opportunities. Maybe I’ll get burned and not meet the right people, but I won’t know until I do it.” Selena also says she’s an “insomniac” and that she uses dancing as an “escape.” What does her future hold? Gomez has no idea… but that’s sort of the exciting part. “I’m 21, so now I’ve entered the decade of confusion about who I am and what I want to do with my life, and that’s what this entire decade’s going to be.” Selena Gomez: I’m the Girl You Take Home to Meet Your Parents!
