Michael Pitt for Rag & Bone of the Day

Michael Pitt from Boardwalk Empire and probably a lot of other shit…like Bully…and who the fuck cares about Michael Pitt…directed this fashion video for a clothing company called Rag & Bone that they probably paid a million dollars for, and that no one will actually give a fuck about, but that I am going to promote because I think I saw a thong wearing ass, but can’t be too sure because I fell asleep 10 seconds into it…. I figure, why not give free press to million dollar campaigns for companies that don’t give a fuck about me, it’s like raping myself because I have no self worth and feel like I deserve to be shat on by everyone around me… It’s all part of my masterplan.

Skincest is Best (For Ratings) on the Boob Tube This Year

TV writers are always looking for edgy, attention grabbing material, and it appears that this year they’ve settled on incest as the shock tactic du jour. After an exceptionally incestuous first season of Game of Thrones , where Lena Headley and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau play identical twins with a twincestuous bent (seen in action at left) and a nude Emilia Clarke was presented to her brother for skinspection in the first episode, cable’s been exploding with incest storylines. [WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD] This season Jimmy ( Michael Pitt )’s twisted relationship with his mom Gillian ( Gretchen Mol ) on Boardwalk Empire was revealed to be the result of mother-son sex, and Bored to Death closed its season with star Jason Schwartzman finding out his new lover Isla Fisher is also his half-sister…and continuing to date her anyway. Throw in Deb ( Jennifer Carpenter )’s dirty dream about her (adopted) brother Dexter ( Michael C. Hall ) on this week’s Dexter , and you’ve got a regular orgy of familial fornication. So what’s behind the incest trend? Creators say there’s been little moral outcry from viewers over the material, and Damon Lindelof , co-creator of Lost (which also featured an incest storyline), says that he thinks it’s just the last taboo to titillate an increasingly jaded audience: “If I were Freudian, I’d say that those writers… are projecting their own sick desires onto their favorite TV characters, [but] let’s face it: Incest is interesting and people like to be interested… For the record, I’m an only child.” Mr. Skin members can see more from provocative pay-cable series like Game of Thrones , Boardwalk Empire , Bored to Death and Dexter right here at MrSkin.com!

‘We All Have to Decide for Ourselves How Much Sin We Can Live With’: Boardwalk Empire Recapped

Let it be known that Boardwalk Empire saved its best for last. After a first season of downs and slowly rising ups, “A Return to Normalcy” was anything but — a 60-minute high wire act that produced the best Empire moments of the season. If the finale is any indication of what we can expect from the HBO series during year two, expect many, many people to place Boardwalk Empire at the top of their Best Of lists in December 2011.

Kurt Cobain Biopic ‘In The Works,’ 16 Years After His Death

Hollywood has been mulling over movies about Nirvana frontman since 1994. By Adam Rosenberg Kurt Cobain Photo: Kevin Mazur/WireImage In the 16 years since Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain was found dead on April 5, 1994, numerous attempts have been made to recount his too-short life in film. “Milk” director Gus Van Sant came the closest, modeling the lead character (played by Michael Pitt) in 2005’s “Last Days” after Cobain. A handful of documentaries have also recounted his tragic tale. The next hope for Nirvana fans who would like to see the fallen musician immortalized on the big screen is an untitled biopic that is said to be based largely on “Heavier Than Heaven,” a 2001 biography by Charles R. Cross. “Quantum of Solace” director Marc Forster was at one point rumored to be helming the biopic, though the gig has since passed to “The Messenger” director Oren Moverman . When MTV News spoke with Moverman in February, he set the record straight. “There is a script from David Benioff that is about Kurt Cobain, and I’m in negotiations to polish it and then direct it, but it’s not a done deal deal yet,” he said. “It’s in the works and hopefully it will work out.” Moverman added that Benioff’s script does not lean as much on “Heavier Than Heaven” as some initially thought. “That book has a lot of information, so, yeah, it’s definitely a great resource. But a lot of [the script] is also based on David Benioff’s research and creative flourishes,” he explained. “To tell you the truth, it’s so early in the process, it would be not right for me to try to guess what the film will be before I start to actually attack it, before I’m officially on it.” For breaking news, celebrity columns, humor and more — updated around the clock — visit MTVMoviesBlog.com .
