“Ready To Love” Exclusive: Mike And Shea Talk Lovin’ It Up On TV And Reveal Whether They’ve Been Smashing Each Other To Chocolatey Delicious Smithereens!

Source: Janeé Bolden / Janeé Bolden Stars Of OWN Network Dating Show Talk About Dating On TV Will Packer had a hit on his hands with OWN’s “Ready to Love” and the show actually ended in two love matches. Alexx, who found his match with Ashlee and Mike and Shea, who seemed to fall in love at first sight. Weeks before the cast reunited to revisit the ups and downs of the show, BOSSIP sat down with Mike and Shea to talk about the experience. BOSSIP: Do you think you two would have met if you hadn’t done the show? Shea: I don’t see how we could have, because I have a certain route and I don’t detour, I don’t hang out. I worked for the radio station but even then I chose not to be out, I’d be in the station running the boards. I’m just not a going out person. And I enjoy naps. BOSSIP: You guys were locked in from day one — was it love at first sight? Shea: For me the attraction was there, Mike did something that I don’t typically like, he did the come here [motions with her finger]. Mike: Soon as she walked in. Shea: And that was it. The conversation was fun, it wasn’t too heavy. He wasn’t trying to interrogate me, he had roots going back to the Midwest and he was funny and I could laugh. BOSSIP: Do you think it’s really that hard dating in Atlanta? Mike: Anything with Black folks gets a bad rap. Africa, Atlanta. I think Atlanta is a beautiful place, it’s the Wakanda of America. It’s thriving. You’ve got a bunch of young black entrepreneurs, the government is not holding you back. For me, as far as dating was concerned, because I don’t go to clubs, I don’t go to lounges, I’ve been here four or five years and people are like, where have you been? I go to bed at like 10. And if I go to the gym I’m not going to ask someone to remove their headphones to talk to me, I’m not shy or anything like that. I think people don’t self reflect enough, they just put it on the location. Because if you’re having problems dating in Atlanta, you’ll have problems in California or anywhere else. BOSSIP: What do you think made you guys’ situation go so much more smoothly than some of the others? Shea: What I like about Mike is we bounce a lot of ideas off each other, we both have unconventional lifestyles. I might say, ‘I can’t go to dinner, I’m too tired,’ and he’s fine with that. I’m not at a point anymore where I’m pressed about anything. If he’s busy I trust him, if I don’t see him today I’ll see him tomorrow. Mike: And it makes a man miss a woman. I’m not used to that. You don’t want it to become like washing dishes, damn I gotta wash the dishes. I don’t have to check in, She’s checking on and I like that about her. Shea: He has to have his personal space. You need to have your space on your own, outside of me and I gotta respect that, just like I may not want to be bothered everyday all day long either. We’ve got to respect each other’s boundaries and personal space. I do that with my son. I built a room in my garage for him to have his own little man cave so he doesn’t have to be up under me all the time. This show is about compatibility, not a competition. People keep saying it’s a competition. All of the women are beautiful. All the women have something to bring to the table. Mike isn’t going to work for every chick and every dude is not gonna work for me. I understood that early on. BOSSIP: One of the conflicts you had was that Mike wants kids and Shea, your first experience with motherhood was rough. How did you guys work past that? Shea: It was rough. He [her ex] put me through it, but I had to take into account he was young, we both had no idea what we were doing, we both were young. We weren’t compatible. It would be like buying a house with someone and then being like, no you do it, you got it. Mike: I think the misconception was that I was asking for a child right now. We don’t know each other well enough to say ‘Hey let’s have a child,’ it’s more so of — she had postpartum depression. I didn’t know anything about that, a lot of men don’t, so it was just like ‘Why wouldn’t you want to have a child?’ When she broke it down to me I had to understand from that aspect. I never had a child before. So I just had to understand and be patient. She’s open now, so now that we know she is open, when we get to that point we’re like okay, first we’re going to get married, because marriage is supposed to come before a baby. I didn’t wait 39 years to just throw a baby in somebody. I really do want to have a baby, but I didn’t want to let this woman go because everything about her is so dope. That’s why I learned patience too, because it was something so strong I took the time to find out why. I understand now and with time she said, ‘I could see you being a good father, so if we get to the point of marriage I would be willing to have children with you.’ Hit the flip for more from this beautiful couple.

Kim Kardashian Threatens Instagram: Change Policy or Else!

Kim Kardashian is taking a stand, people! She’s fighting back against the injustice that affects her most: Instagram’s new Terms of Service agreement. The company is under fire these days for language that implies it could sell its users’ photos without compensation – and despite the Instagram co-founder issuing a statement to clarify this misconception, sources tell TMZ that Kardashian isn’t buying it. Easily the most popular person on that service with 5,726,343 followers ( Justin Bieber is second at 4,366,729; President Obama third at 1,834,079), Kim is reportedly telling friends that she may leave if the policy isn’t altered. And she’ll take her nearly six million fans to another photo-sharing agency. It stands to reason that family members Khloe, Kylie, Kendall and Rob would follow Kim elsewhere, with each of these reality stars also ranking in the Instagram Top 10. The moves actually would be a severe blow to the company, which raises the question: If you run an organization that mostly services Kim Kardashian and her siblings, should you re-evaluate your life choices?

Jessica Alba in Some Erotic Photoshoot of the Day

I don’t know what these pictures of Jessica Alba are from. I am assuming they are pre-baby, because if they were post baby, her labia would be hanging down to her knee, but maybe that’s just my misconception on the vagina’s ability to go back to its original form after child birth, because let’s face it, I’m not a gyno, and I don’t ask the whore’s I sleep with how many times they’ve had kids, that’s a little too personal for my needs as I climax on their faces, not that that’s even an option anymore with the whole impotency thing, but looking at these Alba pics, I wish it was cuz she’s looking good. Maybe that’s the hangover talking, maybe I’m just into anything in that stance, let’s just hope she keeps it up.

Lee DeWyze Says There’s Still ‘A Lot To Prove’ On His New Album

‘I’m not here to change the music world,’ the ‘American Idol’ champ tells MTV News. By James Montgomery Lee DeWyze Photo: MTV News It’s been exactly one week, but Lee DeWyze still can’t believe he won “American Idol.” The words seem strange even coming out of his mouth. “Yeah, it’s weird to say it, man,” he told MTV News on Wednesday (June 2). “I’m lovin’ it, to be sure, but man, it feels weird to say ‘ “American Idol” champion.’ ” To further illustrate that point, DeWyze said he can’t really remember how he felt — or what he did — when “Idol” host Ryan Seacrest announced that he’d been crowned the champ of season nine. It’s all just one rather glorious, delirious blur. “I was lost, dude. I didn’t know where I was! It was so crazy and intense, because everything we’ve done had led up to that point. And it was like, ‘And the winner is … ‘ And then there’s like the six-month pause, and then he says my name, and I was like, ‘Wow,’ ” he laughed. “It was just a big weight off my shoulders, and it felt amazing. I had it in my head what I would say or do if I won or if I lost, and all of that went out the window. … I’ve watched it back, and I try to remember what it was like. There’s some parts I don’t really remember. I remember being up there, and then the next thing you know, I was in the room with the press. It was just really fast and nonstop.” And things haven’t really let up since then. There has been the constant promotional cycle that comes with winning “Idol” — the performances and the appearances on TV shows — and then the upcoming American Idols Live! Tour. DeWyze doesn’t mind all the fuss that comes with winning the show (“Why would I complain about any of it?” he laughed), but more than anything, he’s really looking forward to getting into a recording studio to begin work on his album — which he’ll do whenever he has a free moment in between tour stops. “The studio and the stage are obviously two completely different things, so it’s going to be interesting to see how going from the live performances to the recording and back is going to pan out, but I’m really looking forward to it, because I’m going to have a lot of say in it,” he said. “I think that’s another misconception about ‘American Idol,’ is that once you go on there, you’re forced to do this or forced to wear that … we’re not. We get a lot of freedom and a lot of say. So I’m just looking forward to making a record I can be proud of.” What will that record sound like? Well, it’s still early, but DeWyze said fans can expect to hear some different sides of him — the kind of stuff he didn’t really get to show off on “Idol.” Though he knows winning the show only raises expectations, he’s ready and willing to take on the task at hand and whatever tasks come after that. “I’m sure there’s going to be elements of pop somewhere in there, there always is, and elements of rock and a folky feel. I’m not trying to go out there and do something that’s never been done. It’s all been done … and I think now, it’s more or less an opportunity for people to show who they are through their music,” he said. “I’m not here to change the music world, but I’m definitely here to show what I can do and express myself through my music. So to do that’s going to be cool, and to prove myself. Because I don’t feel that, just because I won ‘American Idol,’ that, you know, now I’ve made it. There’s a lot to prove still. There’s an album to put out, and I’m looking forward to it. It’s all about the process for me, you know? Just making the album, touring, doing all that stuff and seeing where I’m at in a year from now.” Where do you think Lee will be a year from now? Let us know in the comments!
