Source: Stephen Lam / Getty Apple’s long-rumored second generation AirPods might come with a feature the company promised for some time now. According to rumors, the tentatively named AirPods 2 will feature a wireless charging case that achieves a full charge in 15-minutes. The case along with the AirPower mat was promised by Apple with the announcement of the iPhone X. Leaker Max Weinbach who doesn’t really have a great track record when it comes to his rumors drop the news about the AirPods 2 on his Twitter account. He states “wireless charging will happen” and will apply to both the case and the AirPods. The case will be able to achieve this “super fast wireless charging” by utilizing Qi coils, the technology that can already be found in Apple’s iPhone 8, X, XS, XS Max, and XR smartphones. While this is a huge improvement from generation 1’s current 3-hour battery life after a 15-minute charge, there are some downsides. Weinbach reports that the case will be “bigger in one direction and heavier,” fans should not be worried though. So the Apple news. AirPods wireless charging will happen. It will be VERY fast (0-100 in 15 minutes.) That speed is for the AirPods AND the case. It will probably use Qi charging. There will be a downside though, the case will be bigger in one direction and heavier. — Max Weinbach (@mweinbachXDA) March 3, 2019 The new case will also have a new look going for a more matte look ditching the glossy look taking cues from the Apple Pencil 2. Weinbach says we can expect the AirPower and AirPods 2 wireless charging tech to be released in the next few months. Keep in mind Samsung is dropping their new Galaxy Buds with a wireless charging case on Friday (March 8), alongside its family of new Galaxy smartphones , so they are well ahead of the curve in this field. — Photo: Stephen Lam / Getty
Source: Albert L. Ortega / Getty On Monday night, cast members and plenty of other important people were in attendance for the world premiere of Marvel’s latest highly-anticipated project, Captain Marvel . The event was absolutely major and also happened to be the first of these events helmed by a woman, making the stakes even higher. Brie Larson got huge applause when introducing the film at the Dolby Theatre, summing up the special moment by admitting, “I’m crying a lot today.” Roughly 100 members of the Air Force were met with a standing ovation after their jets had flown over Hollywood Blvd. to kick off the event just a few hours earlier. Captain Marvel is expected to open somewhere in the $125 million range this weekend, which is definitely something for the studio to boast about. But even before its release, the movie has been met with its fair share of criticism–mostly consisting of some angry white men being upset over Brie Larson’s comments about diversity . Now, following the film’s premiere last night, some not-so-rave reviews have hit the web juxtaposed by others who have been praising the movie endlessly. So who are we to believe in a world full of conflicting opinions? Well, the obvious answer is to just see the movie for yourself, but we’re in the age of instant gratification. While we wait for the regular folk release of Captain Marvel on Friday, let’s take a look at what some people who already saw the film are saying about it–but don’t worry, no spoilers here. A lot of the reviews make mention of DC’s “feminist hero” film, Wonder Woman–which isn’t surprising, considering we’re talking about the two major comic book film studios and their attempts at women-leading projects. “DC did it better. In fact I'd argue Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman was more charismatic than Brie Larson as #CaptainMarvel . I mean Wonder Woman was THE feminist hero. Entertaining movie and she was in fact powerful.” – Jeremy Jahns — Kiev, Ukraine (@Barbaric_K) March 5, 2019 #CaptainMarvel Who could have predicted this? Just re watch Wonder Woman instead. pic.twitter.com/EHk5vEAq3y — Steve Gal (@EvolutionRaven) March 5, 2019 It is weird to see almost the exact same reaction towards #CaptainMarvel that #WonderWoman got shortly before its release, it's almost a carbon copy situation — Joseph Aberl (@WatchmenArchive) March 5, 2019 But while some are caught up in those comparisons, other critics genuinely enjoyed the film and what it brings to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The wait is over! #CaptainMarvel is here and it does not disappoint. https://t.co/OQSNM6XWoo — Entertainment Tonight (@etnow) March 5, 2019 Entertainment Tonight calls Captain Marvel “an Avenger origin story like no other,” before summing up the film-watching experience, saying, “above all else, Captain Marvel is fun , in a way that superhero movies sometimes forget to be — packed with rat-a-tat banter and Star Wars -worthy dog fights.” The people over at Variety and LA Times seem to like the movie, too. #CaptainMarvel review: “Brie Larson radiates an ability that too many comic-book heroes never get the chance to show: the superpower of expression” https://t.co/OQXY2wQtSd pic.twitter.com/dDTsAFRp8g — Variety (@Variety) March 5, 2019 Review: #CaptainMarvel and Brie Larson boost the MCU to even greater heights https://t.co/Kgx4EKuA9C pic.twitter.com/IWs0SQ4uNL — LAT Entertainment (@latimesent) March 5, 2019 But even with these positive reviews comes a little skepticism, with some people around the web thinking some of these critics are being paid to keep things positive and are making excuses for certain details in the movie. Stop giving excuses. Just say #CaptainMarvel was terrible and you hated it. Or if you loved it tell that. All the reviewers are contradicting themselves in their reviews. Let go of the Mouse — Haroon Shareef (@BatsWrite) March 5, 2019 When you have to praise formula, half of those reviews would be considered as rotten for other movies. When movie is that bad you have to praise the cat… Paid reviews at work. #CaptainMarvel pic.twitter.com/5mqfsu5eEP — PartizanNiksic (@Partizan_Niksic) March 5, 2019 You really can’t win. The moral of the story here? Just see the movie for yourself and form your own opinion. If anything, seeing so many contradicting reviews will just make people more eager to see the film to find out what all the fuss is about.

Source: iOne Digital, The Rewind / IOne Digital Video Landon Levarius and DJ Franchise return with another week of your favorite series, Global Grind’s “The Rewind”. Like we always do at this time, we’re giving you your much-needed dose of recap reality. Every week we revisit some of the pop culture trends, movies, viral moments and music from the week before and give our hot takes. Our experts Landon Lavarius and DJ Franchise share their opinions, sprinkle in some facts and then when it’s all over and done with, provide a rating of 1 to 10. We listen to the songs, watch the movies, scour the internet, and do the hard work so you don’t have to. This week, Landon and Franchise will be discussing the M. Night Shyamalan flick, Glass . The film is a sequel to the previous movies, Unbreakable , which came out in 2000, and Split , which was released in 2016. It stars Bruce Willis, Samuel L. Jackson and of course, James McAvoy, who reprises his role as Kevin Wendell Crumb and the multiple identities who reside within. Glass hit theaters on January 18, 2019, and was met with mixed reviews. Rotten Tomatoes gave it a mere 36% score while IMDB was more forgiving with a 7 out of 10 rating. Landon Levarius and DJ Franchise got to check out the movie and rate it for themselves. Knowing what you know about how hard these two are to please, what do you think they thought of Glass ? Landon Levarius and DJ Franchise also dig into the new Netflix series, Trigger Warning , hosted by Killer Mike. Trigger Warning hit the Netflix platform on January 18 as well. On the show, the Atlanta native uses various scenarios to confront important social issues and cultural taboos. The first season of the show is six episodes long and has already picked up steam on social media. An episode in which Killer Mike teaches a young grade school student about white privilege quickly went viral just hours after Trigger Warning was available for streaming on Netflix. Killer Mike uses nontraditional approaches to explore the human condition and examine the “what ifs” and “why nots” that limit how people operate in the world. Social media is already fascinated with the show but do you think Landon Levarius and DJ Franchise were feeling it? Our resident critics share their thoughts on the new show and let us know whether or not it’s worth the hype. Find out what they rated these topics and more when you press play on episode 29 of The Rewind up above.
I realize that comic book nerds have been jacking off to drawings of Harley Quinn since Stan Lee first drew her into his bullshit comic book shit that everyone celebrates….because I guess Comic Books in and of themselves aren’t that bad of a thing, even though I can’t relate because I’ve never read comics. The squares and dialog always confused me, I’m not very smart…. But I do hate that Comic Book movies are eating up most of the hollywood budgets for movies because they make huge money domestically and in Asia…and these actors get a piece of the backend of the movies and end up making 40-50 million off each of these movies, making it the target job to get…money fucking grubbers… I also hate that Margot Robbie, who isn’t hot, is thick has short thick legs, is pushing 40, gets treated like a young hot thing, when she looks like a fucking middle aged mom ata Halloween party trying to be current….and hip….but instead is the one playing Harley Quinn…. Hollywood is fucking lazy….and here is your jerk off material for the day you sick fucks… TO SEE THE REST OF THE PICS CLICK HERE JOIN THE NEWSLETTER YOU ASSHOLES! When Adrienne asked Loni to recap making things official with the actor, Auntie let the waterworks flow and beamed with joy while recapping when James asked her to be his girlfriend. The couple who’d been dating for four months apparently ran into rap couple Saweetie and Quavo on Christmas Eve just before James asked Loni to “be his girl” while at mass. “It was just something about that joy and it was Christmas Eve and we went to church, we went midnight mass and that’s when he turned to me and said, ‘Will you be my girl?’ Today in #GirlChat : Loni gets emotional talking about how she and James officially became a couple. pic.twitter.com/gPrBoKvVTV — The Real (@TheRealDaytime) January 24, 2019 Love looks good on Loni. Princess Nokia’s producer is now being accused of stealing that exact song from another producer, complete with the melody. The producer claims the song was apart of a sample pack, that neither Nokia nor her producer paid for, “Your producers stole this from our first sample pack smh oshimakesmusic made that melody.” your producers stole this from our first sample pack smh @oshimakesmusic made that melody https://t.co/k5o2Qgu61u — producedbykrs. Source: Ohio Department of Rehabilitation & Correction / Ohio Department of Rehabilitation & Correction Thomia Hunter Life Sentence Commuted By Gov. John Kasich Don’t think Cyntoia Brown was the only woman in prison for killing a man who was attempting to inflict violence upon her. According to Cleveland , Gov. and former Presidential candidate John Kasich has commuted Thomia Hunter’s sentence after she has served a hard 15 years incarcerated. Thomia Hunter was sentenced to life in prison after a 2005 incident where she murdered her ex-boyfriend who had been abusive to her for years. How abusive you ask? Well… Hunter was sentenced to life in prison with her first shot at parole after 15 years after a jury convicted her of murder and felonious assault. Hunter testified at trial that Harris, whom she had broken up with a few months earlier, attacked after he accused her of cheating on him. She said he beat her, choked her, poured hot sauce in her eyes and cut her with a knife before she stabbed him. If you beat us and pour Texas Pete in our eyes you deserve whatever befalls you after that. Harris suffered 22 knife wounds that the parole board said were applied with minimal force. The board also found that Hunter proved she suffered prior domestic abuse at Harris’s hands, and that she genuinely feared for her life and had no way to escape his attack in the minutes before she stabbed him. For all that abuse, 22 stab wounds and dying is getting off easy. Gov. Kasich’s letter of commutation states that Thomia will be released on July 15. Now let’s free the rest of the women who have been imprisoned for protecting themselves.
