‘Resident Evil’ TV Series In Development, Will Be A Netflix Global Original Reportedly

Source: Capcom Resident Evil 2 currently has gamers clutching their pearls and now news of TV series based on the fan-favorite survival horror franchise has surfaced.  Deadline exclusively reports Netflix is developing a scripted series loosely based on the video game franchise “that will explore the dark inner workings of the Umbrella Corporation and the new world order caused by the outbreak of the T-virus.” Constantin Film, the studio behind the highly-successful  Resident Evil film franchise helmed by Paul W.S. Anderson starring his wife Mila Jovovich as the main protagonist Alice will also be working on the show. Per Deadline: “The drama series will explore the dark inner workings of the Umbrella Corporation and the new world order caused by the outbreak of the T-virus. While the project is in the early stages, the series is expected to incorporate all of Resident Evil’s signature elements, including action sequences and “easter eggs.” No word on whether the show will be in the same universe of the movies or will starts fresh. This news also comes on the helms of a report of the studio hiring Johannes Roberts to write and direct a Resident Evil reboot with a new cast that will reportedly be based on the Resident Evil VII game taking the franchise back to its horror roots. — Photo: Capcom

Nevertheless, the Brooklyn troll rapper is making the best of his time, creating music and getting healthier.  Silver linings, right? Reports TMZ : Sources close to 6ix9ine tell TMZ … Tekashi’s spending most of his time behind bars writing and producing songs for his next album. He’s even created visuals for the record. We’re told the circumstances of his incarceration have worked in his favor. On the negative side, he’s facing possible life imprisonment for the various charges, and the negative forces have inspired some serious writing. On the positive side, the rapper’s getting strong support from family, close friends and girlfriend Jade, who proudly displayed this butt grab behind bars. 6ix9ine’s been working out and is actually healthier now than before he was locked up. Still no word on whether or not Tekashi will be granted bail anytime soon. His trial is scheduled to start in September.

A woman who moved from Baltimore to Tacoma, Washington with her husband and son was excited with the house she’d found in the Seattle area — that was until she read the fine print on the deed. According to the Seattle Times , “when the couple began to sign the closing documents, they discovered covenants that restricted ownership to whites only.” The woman is white, but her husband is Japanese-American and their adopted son is Korean-American. UW history professor James Gregory said, “Restrictive covenants on race were commonly written into deeds across the nation after 1926, the year that the U.S. Supreme Court initially found them to be lawful. The most restrictive covenants are attached to individual properties not governed by homeowners’ associations [so] they can’t ever be completely removed, because they are part of the property record. I’m not sure we want to get rid of them. They’re part of history. They should be acknowledged. Not hidden.” No word on whether or not the unidentified woman signed the deed. But as of Jan. 1, a new law allows you to file a request with the county auditor striking the discriminatory language from your deed. Thoughts?

Travis Scott: Arrested for Trying to Start a Riot!

Travis Scott likes to make sure his concerts are a memorable affair, but something tells us he did not bank on it getting himself arrested again.  The 25-year-old rapper has a bit of a reputation for being someone who likes to get people at his concerts to part a little too hard.  Travis was performing in Arkansas on Saturday night, before being arrested as he left the stage. According to TMZ, he was booked for inciting a riot, endangering the welfare of a minor and disorderly conduct.  Talk about ending a show with a bang. Travis, surprisingly, was released without bail shortly after, but don’t bet on him putting this event in his rear view mirror.  He will be summoned to return to Arkansas for a court date, but there is no indication about how long that will take.  There’s no word on whether his girlfriend, Kylie Jenner was with him at the event, but considering the lack selfies from the star over the weekend, it seems they were apart.  Like we said above, Travis has a knack for making sure people at his concerts have a good time, but he crosses the line pretty much every single time He was even arrested back in 2015 for doing the same thing he was arrested for over the weekend. The only difference being that he got more than one song into his set this time around.  At a recent concert in New York City, he even tried to get people to jump from balconies. Now, that’s obviously a security concern.  There’s having a good time, and then there’s causing people harm. It’s not good, but maybe Kylie likes that fiery side to her latest boyfriend.  What do you think about all of this? Should Travis be allowed to perform if he causes all of the above drama? Keeping Up With the Kardashians Ratings Plunge: Will the Show Get Canceled?

If you watched the premiere of Keeping Up With the Kardashians Season 13 last week, you know that despite some enticing trailers, the episode failed to deliver in the drama department. Upcoming episodes will address Kim getting robbed in Paris and her marital troubles with Kanye West, but it could be a case of too little, too late. The premiere’s ratings were the show’s lowest to date, and according to Radar Online, E! execs are already talking cancelation . Rumors of Keeping Up With the Kardashians getting canceled seem to surface every couple of months. (Perhaps it’s a bit of wishful thinking on the part of the public.) But this time, there are numbers to support the claims. KUWTK pulled in its lowest ratings to date on Sunday, scoring a paltry .70 for adults 18-49 rating and just 1.48 million viewers. It’s reportedly that first figure that has E! most concerned. The show never receiving massive total ratings, but it always performed well in that crucial demographic. (In fact, we’re a bit shocked that half the show’s audience falls outside of that age range.) Making matters worse is the fact that the show is costlier than ever to produce. Sources say a reluctant Kim received a massive bonus to return for Season 13, and the cast keeps growing in size. North, Saint, and Kourtney’s kids aren’t getting paid yet (and there’s no word on whether or not Rob’s daughter, Dream, will appear on the show), but Kendall and Kylie background stars to main attractions, and their paychecks reflect their rising popularity. When the show premiered more than a decade ago there simply wasn’t as much competition on basic cable, and the Kardashians, ironically, have struggled to keep up. It’s often said that Kim and her sisters don’t really care if the show continues or not, as it’s already established them as huge stars, and they have countless other revenue streams. But at least one member of the family is deeply concerned about the prospect of cancelation: Sources say Kris Jenner boasted to friends that this season would be the show’s most popular to date, due to all the explosive drama of the past few months. Meri Brown Breaks Down to Kody Over Catfishing Scandal: I Was Angry at You!

In a preview clip for the season premiere of Sister Wives, Kody Brown confronts Meri Brown on why she engaged in an online affair last year. If you recall, Meri was the victim of a catfishing scandal in which she had a relationship with a woman named Jackie Overton who had been posing as a man. In the clip, Kody accuses Meri of wanting out of their relationship. “You didn't want to be out of the family, you just wanted to be out of your relationship with me,” he tells her. A contemplative Meri finally opens up. “Kody, this person got so far into my head that I didn't know what end was up sometimes,” she reveals. “And I'm still trying to get her out of there.” But Kody still prods her. “You seemed so angry, I didn't feel like I could get to you,” he says. “I didn't feel like we could talk.” Meri finally breaks down and admits that she did harbor animosity toward him. “There were times I was angry at you, Kody. I'm not going to lie,” she confesses. “Because, if you and I had taken better care of our relationship, then I wouldn't have been in such a vulnerable place and I would have been open to other friendships that wouldn't lead to this kind of deception and evil,” she continues. “So I was angry at you for not being there for me.” While Meri may want to put this humiliation behind her, Overton revealed earlier this year that she would be releasing “sexually graphic” voicemails and photos from their relationship. Meri first opened up about the affair to her family last year on the Sister Wives reunion. “At the time it seemed so vague,” Kody said at the time. “I didn’t want to push her … she hasn’t felt well, hasn’t seemed like herself for a long time,” he lamented. Sister Wives premieres Sunday at 8 p.m. ET on TLC.

We knew this was going to happen. Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna have been blabbing about getting their own reality show pretty much since they became an item back in January. But Blac’s pregnancy may have been just what the couple needed to give the project the green light. According to Gossip Cop , Rob and Blac are in negotiations to get a show on the air. The show would document Blac’s pregnancy and follow the pair throughout what is sure to be a colorful journey to parenthood. Since Rob is under contract with E!, home to Keeping Up With the Kardashians , the network may have first right of refusal to air the show. There is no word on whether Rob’s mom, Kris Jenner, is involved in the negotiations, but he might be smart to include her. View Slideshow: Blac Chyna Pregnant News: The Internet Reacts! The notoriously shrewd momager reportedly just got her son a huge paycheck for appearing on KUWTK . Renewed interest in Rob due to his relationship with Chyna gave Jenner the leverage she needed to quadruple her son’s salary from $500,000 to $2 million per season. “Recognizing that his drastic weight loss and sudden engagement to Blac Chyna would be ratings gold for the E! network, Kris was able to get Rob a $2 million paycheck,” revealed a source. Jeebus. If a slimdown and engagement get him a cool $2 mil, what will a pregnancy get him? But not so fast.  We’ve also heard rumors that Rob’s family has blacklisted Chyna from appearing on TV anywhere due to their disapproval of the couple’s relationship. But frankly, we tend to question the accuracy of those claims. If Kris sees dollar signs in her future, we’re betting she can find some love in her heart for her soon-to-be daughter-in-law. Lex McAllister, Former Bachelor Contestant, Dead of Apparent Suicide

Lex McAllister, a contestant on season 14 of The Bachelor – has been found dead. According to TMZ, authorities believe that McAllister took her own life by overdosing on prescription medications. Lex’s family says she suffered from bipolar disorder and depression throughout her life. Early reports indicate that a 911 call was received on Saturday afternoon after McAllister was found unconscious in her home. She was rushed to a nearby hospital, where her condition quickly stabilized. Sadly, McAllister reportedly took an unexpected turn for the worse on Sunday, when her organs began to shut down. On Monday, her family made the difficult decision to remove her from life support, and she passed away on Tuesday afternoon. McAllister was featured on one of the show’s most popular seasons, in which Jake Pavelka  served in the title role. Shockingly, she is not the first season 14 cast member to take her own life, as fellow contestant  Gia Allemand committed suicide  in 2013. Following Allemand’s death, Pavelka spoke openly of his shock and grief. There’s no word on whether or not he’s been informed of McAllister’s passing. A successful career woman, McAllister’s Twitter page describes her as a “business development expert, franchise consultant and entrepreneur.” Her family has requested privacy during this difficult time.
