Some of our younger viewers may not remember a time when Fox was home to content deemed too edgy for the more mainstream networks. Of course, our definition of “edgy” has changed dramatically in the past couple decades, and Cops and early seasons of The Simpsons seem pretty tame by today’s standards. One show that routinely pushed the envelope in Fox’s underground days was the Ed O’Neil, Christina Applegate sitcom Married With Children . And now it appears that one of TV’s trashiest families may have ties to the medium’s most wholesome clans. There are few things that Duggar fans love more than exposing the family’s moral imperfections. (To be fair, the family invites this on themselves with their more sanctimonious and hypocritical tendencies.) And the amateur sleuths who keep the closest watch on the Duggars believe they have unearthed a minor scandal involving Josh Duggar’s long-suffering wife, Anna. It’s hard to believe, but Duggar obsessives say they have evidence that Anna Duggar appeared in an episode of Married With Children way back in 1992. Before she married into the Duggar clan, Anna’s last name was Keller, and the credits confirm that an actress by that name did in fast appear in the episode. The most obvious explanation is that the show featured an actress who happened to have the same name. But that doesn’t explain why Anna’s official IMDB page features her sole acting credit. Anna would’ve been just 4 years old at the time, and many fans have cited her age as evidence that it’s impossible for her to have appeared on Married . But as several others have pointed out in a Reddit discussion forum on the subject (yes, fans are taking this very seriously), Anna’s role was not a speaking part, and she may have appeared in a group shot with other children. Anna, of course, stayed with Josh Duggar after it was revealed that he molested five young girl s, four of whom were his sisters. And she stayed with him when it was revealed that he’d used an Ashley Madison account to try and hit on her. Needless to say, the Bundy-gate is hardly the biggest scandal that Anna’s been involved with. But it would be amusing to find out with certainty that she starred in a show about a miserable marriage decades before she crossed paths with Josh. Jimmy Fallon and his loved ones are in mourning. The comedian sadly lost his mother, Gloria, on Saturday, one day after NBC canceled a taping of The Tonight Show due to a Fallon family emergency. Said a spokesperson for the talk show host and his relatives: “Jimmy Fallon’s mother, Gloria, died peacefully on Saturday. “Jimmy was at his mother’s bedside, along with her loved ones, when she passed away at NYU Langone Medical Center in NYC. “Our prayers go out to Jimmy and his family as they go through this tough time.” Gloria was 68 years old. It’s unclear whether she had been ill for a long period of time, but at least Fallon was able to be with his mother at the time of her passing. On Friday, Variety reported that NBC had cancelled the Tonight Show’s scheduled taping due to “a private Fallon family matter.” In its place, the network ran an episode that had originally aired in September. According to IMDB, Gloria made two appearances on her son’s show over the years. Fallon keeps his private life mostly private, but he did open up about his mother at times over the years. Just this past June, he revealed to Howard Stern that Gloria used to be a nun. A month before that, he shared a memory about Gloria as part of a “#MomQuotes” segment for the talk show. “My mom and I were talking on the phone for the third time that day and she actually said, ‘We don’t talk enough,’ ” he tweeted at the time. Brad Bufanda, an actor likely best known for his role on Veronica, committed suicide on Monday, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office has confirmed. He was 34 years old. According to multiple sources, the tragic incident took place early in the morning on November 1. Bufanda’s body was discovered around 12:40 a.m. after he “jumped from a building,” this same spokesperson has told People Magazine, adding; “[An] autopsy is done and it has been ruled an suicide.” The cause of death, as one might sadly expect in this circumstance, was “sustained traumatic injuries.” A pedestrian walking along South Fuller Avenue reportedly came upon Bufanda and called the police. Paramedics were then dispatched to the scene, but it was too late; the actor was already dead. Bufanda had a recurring role on the first two seasons of Veronica Mars, a beloved series on The CW that starred Kristen Bell and which was eventually turned into a movie. He portrayed Felix Toombs on the dark comedy, a member of a biker gang. Bufanda had also appeared on Malcom in the Middle, CSI: Miami, and the 2004 movie A Cinderella Story. His most recent listed credit on IMDB is for a role in the upcoming movie Stan the Man. Said Bufanda’s manager Kirsten Solem in response to the awful news: “We are completely devastated for he was an extremely talented young actor and wonderful, caring human being. “He was reviving his career, having just completed two movies, and we are shocked and saddened by his passing. “The family would appreciate privacy at this difficult time.” According to TMZ, Bufanda did leave a suicide note near the scene of his death. It is unknown at this time just what the note said. Percy Daggs III and Francis Capra both starred opposite Bufanda on Veronica Mars and both are now mourning this loss. “I’m heartbroken to hear of Brad Bufanda’s passing,” wrote Veronica Mars creator Rob Thomas on Twitter, adding: “He did great work on Veronica Mars. My heart goes out to his family. The actor moved to Los Angeles from Southern California to pursue a full-time film career after graduating high school in 2001. He had actually thought about pursuing a career in professional basketball until an injury ended those dreams. We send our condolences to the family members, friends and loved ones of Brad Bufanda.
