There has been previous research done that supports the idea that married folks are happier than single people, but apparently, they only have that energy when their spouse is in the room. Behavioral science professor, Paul Dolan, told  The Guardian  that while “married people are happier than other population subgroups,” that only applies to “when their spouse is in the room when they’re asked how happy they are.” “When the spouse is not present: f—ing miserable,”  Dolan, who teaches at the London School of Economics, candidly explained. “The healthiest and happiest population subgroup are women who never married or had children.” Sign Up For Our Newsletter! Email Submit In Dolan’s book,  Happy Ever After: Escaping the Myths of the Perfect Life, the researcher compared data from single, married, separates, divorced and widowed to find out who was happiest amongst the pack. It appears there are differences between how men and women benefit , or don’t benefit, from the old ball and chain. For men, “You take less risks, you earn more money at work and you live a little longer,” Dolan said of the findings, but “She, on the other hand, has to put up with that, and dies sooner than if she never married .” Look like women literally get the short end of the stick when it comes to becoming wives and mothers. “We do have some good longitudinal data following the same people over time, but I am going to do a massive disservice to that science and just say: If you’re a man, you should probably get married ; if you’re a woman, don’t bother,” Dolan said. Of course, these findings are a snapshot of the whole, but it does lead us to believe that the traditional path for women may not be the happiest or ideal scenario for all women. Ciara was one of many celeb guest appearances in a video for Swift’s new song  You Need To Calm Down , among them include Ellen DeGeneres, RuPaul, Katy Perry, Laverne Cox and Billy Porter. The video is a call to action for Taylor and her fans to support the Equality Act, a piece of legislation which if passed, would prohibit discrimination based on gender and sexual identity. Source: Universal History Archive / Getty It was quite disappointing when Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin announced that the unveiling of the $20 bill that will bear abolitionist Harriet Tubman would be delayed past 2020 . Mnuchin stated that the release would be delayed due to new security features being developed, which he said would push the release back six years to 2026. Email Submit The Bureau of Engraving and Printing had already began working on designing the bill and the preliminary design was completed back in 2016 while former president Barack Obama was in office. A source from the Treasury office told the New York Times that Mnuchin really delayed the release because he feared that Trump would interfere with the $20 bill seeing the light of day. Mnuchin denies these allegations. Another unnamed source from the bureau said they viewed a digital image and metal engraving plate of the $20 bill and confirmed that the design looks almost complete. Len Olijar, the director of the Bureau of Engraving and Printing, echoed Mnuchin and claimed that the bureau “was never going to unveil a note design in 2020.” He added that releasing the $20 bill next year will make it vulnerable for counterfeiters and that the image of the bill that has been leaked doesn’t have any of the needed security features. Tami Roman is finally getting the spin-off show she’s been talking about for years, and a whole lot more. It was announced this week by Deadline that the 49-year-old reality star and actress has signed an overall deal with Mona Scott-Young and her Monami Productions, which is behind the Love and Hip Hop  franchises, to develop and produce both scripted and “alternative” content. The first project in that lucrative deal is Roman’s reality special, Tami Ever After . It premieres Wednesday, June 19 at 9 p.m. after the premiere of Season 8 of Basketball Wives,  which Tami is also on. The special will follow Tami, longtime love and now husband Reggie Youngblood, and the blending of her daughters and his family from Houston. It will also take us through Reggie’s efforts to get Tami to marry him. SEE ALSO:  Surprise!
