Beauty Talk: Jhene Aiko Loves Blotting Papers For Daytime Makeup

Source: Cindy Ord / Getty If there is one celeb we can swap skincare routines with, Jhene Aiko would definitely top the list! Let’s be honest, her skin is the true epitome of beauty goals ! While we know that makeup is a huge part of her lifestyle, but we can’t help but notice that her skin is always picture-perfect. So, it’s no surprise that she scored the gig as the global face of Kat Von D Beauty’s latest foundation line. There is no denying that trying to learn our favorite celebs beauty routines can be a bit tricky. From their high-priced beauty treatments and sometimes bizarre routines, finding a way to incorporate their skincare practices into our everyday lives is easier said than done. However, the “Triggered” singer is giving us a glimpse of her go-to products. In a recent interview with ESSENCE , the star couldn’t stop raving about a skincare product that she says saves her skin while wearing makeup. “It’s been hot right now in LA, so with that daytime makeup, you’ve got to make sure you have your blotting papers on you,” she tells ESSENCE . “Because if you just let it sit and it gets oily, then that sits on your face, that’s going to turn into a bump. So I personally always have to have blotting paper.” She continued, “And just for sure, wash your face. Wash that makeup off as soon as you can; it’s a big one. Because if you leave makeup on, like three days later you’ll have a big bump coming up.” We definitely agree! Blotting papers do a fabulous job of lifting away oils without disturbing our makeup. Personally, I like to use Fenty Beauty’s Invisimatte Blotting Papers ($16.00, fentybeauty.com ) to get the job done. While we all love how makeup enhances our beauty, it can have adverse effects on our skin if we don’t remove the product properly. Britney Spears Court Case Reveals She’s Addicted to Shopping at Target

Well, it’s official — Britney Spears is now the most relatable celebrity on the planet. It seems that despite Brit’s status as a bonafide A-lister and pop goddess, she’s just like the rest of us, in that she still can’t resist the allure of a good Target shopping spree. Entertainment Tonight has obtained court documents related to Spears’ ongoing conservator case , which shed new light on the singer’s financial situation. Some of the revelations are not surprising, such as the fact that Brit is worth nearly $60 million. Others have caught fans off guard — including the fact that Britney shopped at Target at least 80 times in 2018. Yes, that’s more than once a week — and it seems Spears is 100% vulnerable to that thing where you go in for toothpaste and wind up filling two carts with crap you don’t need. According to the documents, Spears spent more than $66,000 on household supplies alone last year. To put that in perspective, her travel expenses only totaled $70,000. (Obviously, the term “only” is used relative to Spears’ Windex and Swiffer pads budget.) To be fair, the supplies were not purchased at Target exclusively, but also at Home Depot, Walmart, Bed, Bath & Beyond, 7-Eleven and Amazon. But just for the hell of it, let’s say that Brit dropped $60k at Target last year. (Certainly not an outlandish figure, considering all the things you can buy there in addition to cleaning products and jumbo drums of fish oil capsules.) That would mean she dropped roughly $750 per visit. That’s a lot of graphic tees! Obviously, outside of her constant “Target run and dones,” Brit’s life is very different from the lives of most of her fans. For starters, she’s in court battling for control of her wildly lucrative estate. That’s just not a struggle that most of us can relate to. On top of that, Spears’ day-to-day living expenses totaled roughly $400,000 in 2018. That’s considerably more than most of us spend on or visits to Tar-jay. Still, it’s refreshing to find out that a multi-millionaire celeb has kept in touch with her working class roots in such an endearing way. (Especially since we would’ve pegged Brit as more of a Wal-Mart gal.) Sometimes, you just need to pick up some patio furniture, a smart watch, a giant bag of Cool Ranch Doritos, and a copy of This Is Us Season 2 on Blu-ray. And no matter how much wealth and fame you acquire, there’s still only one stop for that kind of shopping. The Design For The Harriet Tubman $20 Bill Has Been Leaked

Mnuchin stated that the release would be delayed due to new security features being developed, which he said would push the release back six years to 2026. A source from the Treasury office told the New York Times that Mnuchin really delayed the release because he feared that Trump would interfere with the $20 bill seeing the light of day. Mnuchin denies these allegations. Another unnamed source from the bureau said they viewed a digital image and metal engraving plate of the $20 bill and confirmed that the design looks almost complete. Len Olijar, the director of the Bureau of Engraving and Printing, echoed Mnuchin and claimed that the bureau “was never going to unveil a note design in 2020.” He added that releasing the $20 bill next year will make it vulnerable for counterfeiters and that the image of the bill that has been leaked doesn’t have any of the needed security features. Britney Spears Receives Support From Sam Asghari as Conservatorship Battle Rages On!

These are tough times in the life of pop icon Britney Spears. At this point, it doesn’t appear that the situation is as dire as Britney’s infamous 2007 meltdown , but that’s only because the singer is older, wiser, and surrounded by a slightly better support network. Back in April,  Spears checked into a mental health facility , ostensibly because she was distraught over her father’s potentially fatal health issues. Now, it appears that the situation is more complicated than that. Reports of Britney’s efforts to bring an end to the conservatorship that has governed for life for over a decade have brought about a resurgence of the #FreeBritney movement, which was initially created over 10 years ago by fans concerned for Spears’ well-being. It now looks as though the 37-year-old may have been committed against her will, and it seems that parties who do not have her best interest at heart are going to great lengths to maintain control over her life. Sadly it seems that Spears can no longer trust her father, who is the main executor of the conservatorship. And she was recently forced to file for a restraining order against Sam Lufti, an ex-manager whose efforts to exploit Spears for financial gain have been well-documented. Britney is clearly fighting a battle for her freedom against some very stiff opposition. But fortunately, she’s not doing it entirely on her own. On Thursday, Spears posted a photo of herself smiling alongside boyfriend Sam Asghari. She captioned the pic, “I love this man.” Fans found encouragement in the pic for a number of reasons: For one thing, it’s good to see Spears smiling again. More importantly, it’s reassuring to know that she and Sam are still going strong, as many Spears worshippers consider this to be her healthiest relationship to date. And Britney will need all the help she can get in the months to come. TMZ previously reported that Britney’s mom is going to war on her daughter’s behalf and has joined the battle to bring the conservatorship to an end. But even with such a formidable ally on her side, Britney is facing an uphill battle.  Insiders tell TMZ that Brit is “keeping her chin up” but that “things are far from well” in her life. 2019 Billboard Music Awards: Who Took Home the Top Prizes?

The 2019 Billboard Music Awards were held last night, and just like every year, the most popular artists took home the night’s top prizes. That’s not a knock against the show — the whole point is awarding the artists who sold the most copies last year. The BBMAs differ from other music awards in that there’s no voting and no panel of judges. It hands out prizes based on digital and streaming sales (and if there’s anyone out there buying physical copies of new music from new artists, we suppose that counts, too). It’s fine, we guess, except it kind of ruins the suspense, as everyone in the room knows the winner long before the presenter opens the envelope. (Also, isn’t selling the most copies already enough of a reward?) Anyway, as is so often the case at these ceremonies Drake was the night’s big winner , taking home 12 trophies to make him the most-awarded artist in BBMA history, with a total of 27 wins. He also delivered the night’s funniest moment, offering a shout-out to Arya Stark for killing the Night King — truly the top achievement of 2019 thus far. A Houston pothead learned this lesson in the most unexpected and terrifying way possible. The story, according to ABC13 , goes as follows… “A concerned citizen called 311. They were trying to get into this house to smoke marijuana. We questioned them as to whether they were under the effects of the drugs or they actually saw a tiger. They saw a tiger in this building, this vacant house that’s obviously been abandoned for some time,” said Sgt. Jason Alderete, of HPD’s Major Offenders, Livestock Animal Cruelty Unit. Asking the “concerned citizen” was he high and did he imagine the tiger is funny AF. When authorities found the 350-pound animal she was in a cage far too small for her and there were several packages of meat strewn around. Handlers tranquilized her and got the tiger out the deplorable conditions, she will soon be transferred to a facility equipped to deal with exotic animals. Can you imagine you go to fie up a blunt and you see Shere Khan sitting in the corner!
