Announcing the split via Instagram, Braxton posted a rather cryptic message on her Instagram page saying, “Starting a new chapter isn’t alway an easy choice… but ALWAYS choose to be chosen. Cheers to a new year.” The “Unbreak My Heart” singer then scrubbed her IG page as Birdman did the same. According to Page Six , the two unfollowed one another and in a since-deleted post captured by E! News , Birdman wrote “It’s over…” in his IG story. The pair had been engaged since last February and she was planning a “vintage ’20s and ’30s-like Great Gatsby ” style wedding but the pair couldn’t figure out a date. “Well, we had two dates. But we were doing Braxton Family Values and we were going through a little drama,” Braxton told Wendy Williams. “And I was like, ‘The wedding is a good thing to get all the sisters together.’ [But] I couldn’t get us all together.” Sadly, Braxton lost the $5 million engagement ring that Birdman had given her. The business mogul born Bryan Williams is hoping to continue working out of the Hit Factory Criteria Recording Studios where greats like Aretha Franklin, James Brown, and others have recorded. The Blast reports : Earlier this month, EMG Transfer Agent filed documents, obtained by The Blast, seeking to take control of Birdman’s Hit Factory Criteria Recording Studios. EMG says they believe the studio is a high-end fully functioning and operating music facility, but accuse Birdman of not turning over any rent earned from clients using the studio, despite a court order. What’s more, EMG claims that big stars have been to the Hit Factory lately, including The Rock, and Marc Anthony, who is finishing up his new album. Birdman responded in court documents, arguing that the Hit Factory doesn’t get paid rent and claiming he has zilch to turn over. He says the studio is used as a developmental arm of his business to create demo tapes for up and coming young artists who have been identified by Birdman as possible stars. The document adds that despite high-profile clients still using the space, Birdman believes his name attachment is a draw for young artists and also will hurt his chances at signing another big star. Another photo has surfaced of the two together enjoying themselves, this time at Rockwell nightclub during their hottest Monday night party. The party, hosted by Lil Wayne himself, also brought out Birdman who showed up with his crew of friends to meet Weezy. Birdman joined Wayne’s table for the entire night. They were seen interacting just like old times and were also joined by rapper Fabolous. The three rappers posed for a picture together before continuing to kick back at their table. Wayne and Birdman hung out late until the night and were even seen leaving together in the same group after 4am. Have they worked things out for good?
