In Defensive White Folks News: Justin Bieber Hangs Up On Radio Jock Who Compares Him To Justin Timberlake And Makes Comments About His Mom Getting Chopped Down!

Don’t beef with the Biebs! Justin Bieber Hangs Up On Disrespectful Radio DJ Mid-Interview Justin Bieber recently graduated high school, but the 18-year-old still has a lot of growing up to do. In a recent interview with a morning radio show, “Mojo in the Morning,” Justin Bieber quickly became agitated when radio host Mojo commented on his similarities with former popstar Justin Timberlake. “I hope you take this as a compliment,” said Mojo. “When I first got played the song by your record people, and this was months and months before it came out, they said ‘Take a listen to this and tell me if you can tell me who this is.’ I thought it was Justin Timberlake.” “When I heard ‘Boyfriend’ for the very first time,” he continued. “I thought it was Justin Timberlake’s single.” Unfortunately, Bieber didn’t take it as a compliment. “Man, that’s crazy because our voices sound nothing alike,” he said. “I mean, I’m not trying to sound like anyone. Saying I sound like someone else is not really a compliment. … I think if you were to say ‘I heard some Justin Timberlake-esque things in your sound,’ I would take that as a compliment.” Problem is, Justin has said NUMEROUS times that he takes such comments as compliments. That represents change in Bieber’s message. The singer admitted in May that he was “definitely” influenced by Timberlake on “Boyfriend.” “[Timberlake] was young, and he did it, and he was really amazing and had such amazing music,” Bieber told MTV’s Sway Calloway. “I can’t say that I would be upset when someone compares me to him.” That was a lil’ touchy, but this next part is just downright fawking awkward. While Bieber has some conflicting opinions about his relationship with Justin Timberlake’s sound, that’s nothing compared to the reaction he had when Mojo decided to bring up Bieber’s mother. Asked if he was afraid One Direction’s Harry Styles might end up seducing his mother, given his penchant for older women, Bieber went on the offensive. “I mean, definitely somewhat [I am friends with One Direction now]. They were in town a while ago and they came over and stuff, but, yeah, they’re good kids,” he said when asked about his friendship with the Brit boy banders, before adding, “I don’t think you should worry about me [and my mom with Harry Styles] — Worry about your mom, bro.” Mojo then noted that his mother had passed away, before Bieber hung up on the call. Do you feel like Justin overreacted to the DJ’s line of questioning?? HuffPost Check out the interview for yourself after the flipper. Image via YouTube/WENN

By Nadeska Alexis Jay-Z and Kanye West Photo: Dimitrios Kambouris/ WireImage Jay-Z and Kanye West’s Watch the Throne Tour swept North America last fall, and one highlight of the large-scale production was the duo’s multiple performances of their hit single “N—as in Paris.” When the Throne rolled through Vancouver in December, they played the song a record 11 times, and on Thursday, they will finally roll out an official video to accompany the single. The video will hit MTV.com at 12:05 p.m. Thursday and will feature footage from the Los Angeles stop of their Watch the Throne Tour. Thus far, the Throne have released only one video to accompany their album. The Spike Jonze-directed clip for “Otis” premiered in August with a brief cameo from comedian Aziz Ansari, but a bulk of the video found ‘Ye and Jay taking a chainsaw to a Maybach , which they then filled with models. During an interview with MTV News last summer, producer Hit-Boy explained how he crafted the popular “Paris” beat . ” ‘N—as in Paris’ came about from me having a beat idea already. When I went to New York, I just further went into it,” Hit-Boy said of linking up with the Throne. “It was just a batch of beats. Kanye asked me for some beats, and that was one of the beats I gave him. … [Kanye and Jay-Z] actually went over to Paris; I didn’t get to make that trip. Next thing I know, they’re like, ‘Yo, I need all the files for that beat.’ ” Tune in to MTV.com at 12:05 p.m. Thursday to catch the new video for the Throne’s “N—as in Paris.” Related Artists Kanye West Jay-Z

The Black Eyed Peas Recall Prince’s ‘I Gotta Feeling’ Praise

‘Those songs don’t come all the time,’ will.i.am remembers the Purple One telling him. By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Sway Calloway will.i.am performs with the Black Eyed Peas at Terminal 5 in New York City Photo: MTV News In 2009, the Black Eyed Peas found incredible success with their feel-good party track “I Gotta Feeling.” It was a multicultural club banger that was all about being with your pals and embracing those moments of pure party joy. Now, it’s become a staple of their live show , and frontman will.i.am was surprised to learn about one of the song’s biggest fans. “I remember we played the song in Minnesota, and Prince was at the show, and he called me on the phone afterwards. He said, ‘Congratulations,’ ” will.i.am recalled. “He says, ‘You know, those songs don’t come all the time. You’re blessed to have one of those songs. You know, they’re gifts.’ I was like, ‘Wow.’ For someone like Prince to tell you that, that’s bigger than a Grammy for me.” Night after night, the song gets an incredible response from fans. “When we perform it, in my mind, like, ‘Where did that song come from?’ I can’t believe this is us and look at all these people singing it like it’s theirs,” he told MTV News when we caught up with the group at Terminal 5 in New York, where they were taping a show set to air Friday night (April 22) at midnight ET on MTV. “Wow, that’s a beautiful thing.” That song came just at the right time, since the band was looking for a way to update their concerts. “We used to do ‘Let’s Get It Started’ at the end, because that was our big finale, which didn’t really make sense. And for a while, [we did] ‘My Humps’ and then it got to the point where we didn’t want to play ‘My Humps’ no more. You know, ’cause ‘I met a girl down at the disco,’ I just didn’t want to say that no more, lyrically. “It wasn’t like my best lyrically, but it was fun,” he continued. “It wasn’t lyrical miracles, but the beat was rocking, so we throw the beat in there and just let the beat linger, but now ‘I Gotta Feeling’ is like ‘What?’ ” Don’t miss the Black Eyed Peas’ performance Friday at midnight ET on MTV.
