Justin Bieber says he needs to take some time to chill following a heated incident with members of the paparazzi in Israel earlier this week. Sadly for Bieliebers, that means no (or less) Tweeting. “I’m just excited at this point to get on stage and perform,” Justin wrote. “Gonna take a little break from Twitter and enjoy time with my family until then.” “[I’ve] been super frustrated and just need some time to vent and chill.” Back away from the Bieb! Bieber’s comments came after paparazzi caused him to retreat to his hotel rather than visit Israeli monuments. He lamented their lack of respect in the Holy Land . One can understand where he’s coming from. Kid never gets a break. Lady Gaga does not mince words. In the May issue of Harper’s Bazaar , the provocative singer dishes about her failures in adapting to Hollywood. Despite being a self-proclaimed student of the art of fame, fitting in out in la-la land just wasn’t in the cards, she says: “I had all these number-one records. I had sold all these albums. It was sort of this turning point: Do I embrace Hollywood and assimilate to that culture?” Not exactly. Abandoning the Hollywood life for the comforts of New York City doesn’t have Gaga worried about her future. “It’s hard to find a song that defines me as an artist.” – Casey Abrams These American Idol kids are getting frisky. Like James Durbin , Casey butted heads a bit with producer Jimmy Iovine regarding his selection Wednesday. Jimmy nearly talked Abrams into doing Phil Collins’ “In the Air Tonight,” but he went with his gut and that meant channeling a little Nat King Cole. Iovine wasn’t pleased, but the judges give a standing ovation after a intimate, stripped down performance that Casey really put his heart and soul into. Whether “Nature Boy” defines him as an artist remains to be seen. But Abrams fans surely loved this and many people on the fence likely did, too … Casey Abrams – Nature Boy (American Idol) Was it the best of the night? If not, who was? Vote after the jump:
Kobe Bryant was fined a whopping $100,000 for calling NBA ref Bennie Adams a f*****g f****t the other night, a penalty he plans to appeal. While trying to get the fine reduced is standard protocol, the L.A. Lakers star says the utterance was NOT standard for him, nor should it be. The NBA great called the president of the Human Rights Campaign, a gay rights organization, and apologized for using the gay slur last night. Kobe Bryant Curses at Ref Joe Solmonese said this after speaking with Bryant: “I applaud Kobe for his swift apology. We had a very sincere conversation in which he expressed his heartfelt regret for the hurt his words caused.” “He told me that it’s never OK to degrade or tease, and he understands how his words could give the impression that this is appropriate. At the end of a difficult day, I applaud Kobe for coming forward and taking responsibility for his actions.” Kobe also told ESPN that his concern is that for those who look up to him “not to take what was said as a message of hate or a license to degrade, or to embarrass or tease, because that’s something I don’t wanna see have happen.”
So much for Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart taking a break . Their days on the set of Breaking Dawn may be coming to an end now that the film is nearing the end of production, but the two are closer than ever in real life. Case in point? The “promise ring” Rob just offered his lady love! “The ring is rose-cut diamonds set in rose gold,” says a friend of the rock, which reportedly set him back $17K. “It’s a very feminine piece of jewelry. Very old.” BENDED KNEE : How long until Rob gets down on one for real? The one thing we don’t buy about this story? Kristen Stewart is kind of a tomboy. It’s hard to imagine her wearing diamonds (even from Robert Pattinson). Still, sources say he’s ready, willing and able to take it to the next level! “Rob is more mature than Kristen and and he’s ready to settle down,” says an insider. So is marriage next for one of Hollywood’s hottest young couples? We can only hope, THG readers. We can only hope.
