Last week, a rumor made the rounds online that Star Wars Episode VII: The Order of the Jedi would be the official title for J.J. Abrams new addition to the iconic film franchise. According to Knowles, Abrams and company will begin filming with the working title, The Ancient Fear . The name of the movie apparently refers to a villain played by 85-year-old acting legend Max Von Sydow. Unconfirmed reports state that Abrams and Von Sydow are intent on making the character (for whom Von Sydow may only provide voice work) the most terrifying villain yet seen in the Star Wars franchise. No mean feat for the series that gave us Darth Vader, Darth Maul and various other badass Darths. Since it seems unlikely that such a closely-guarded production would leak such key information as a title, many believe The Ancient Fear has been intentionally leaked in order to mislead the media. This wouldn’t be the first time a Star Wars film employed such diversionary tactics. In 1983, Return of the Jedi was shipped to theaters under the phony title, Blue Harvest . Sadly, now that the Episode VII cast has been announced, it may be some time before we receive any new official news from the film’s producers.

First, and most importantly, the source (who apparently unleashed a barrage of tweets then promptly deleted his account) claims to know the full title of the movie: Star Wars VII: The Order of the Jedi may sound like some sort of Hogwarts/Hoth hybrid fan fiction, but the quickness with which the potential title was scrubbed from social media has led many to believe that that is indeed the film’s proper name . Other very possibly BS rumors leaked by this mysterious, Sith-like super fan include: Luke Skywalker will now be an Obi Wan Kenobi-like mentor figure Princess Leia is now “Queen Regent of the Republic” Han Solo is “High Commander of the Republic” The bad guy will not be a Sith Lord A press release unveiling other major plot details is scheduled for May 4th Get it? May the 4th be with you? Good one! The mystery tweeter also confirms earlier reports that Daisy Ridley will play Han and Leia’s daughter in the film. Sir Ian McKellen has been diagnosed with prostate cancer. The 73-year-old star of The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit told the Daily Mirror (UK) he’s been suffering from it for the last 6-7 YEARS, but has not had any treatment. “When you have got it, you monitor it, and you have to be careful it doesn’t spread,” he said. “But if it is contained in the prostate, which it is it’s no big deal.” “I am examined regularly and it’s contained, it’s not spreading,” said the silver screen legend. “I’ve not had any treatment.” We trust that he would if need be. Hobbit director Peter Jackson is nothing if not a man of the people, so when he took to San Diego’s Comic-Con earlier this month to present footage to 6,000+ lucky fans shortly after wrapping, he recorded a video diary to share with the rest of the Lord of the Rings faithful. Watch as Jackson navigates the perils of press junkets and Hall H’s screaming fans, filming on his trusty iPhone along the way! Or, y’know… skip ahead a few minutes to fantastic 10+ minutes of behind-the-scenes peeks from the set of The Hobbit . The set footage is the real treat for fans hungry for Hobbit peeks, but you’ve got to also hand it to Jackson and his videography crew for interviewing just about everybody involved in production, down to the freaking key grip. And yet, my favorite part? Mark Hadlow in costume as the Dwarf Dori, quoting Anchorman .
