There’s an old saying that goes: “Real friends are there when you need them the most.” Well, a former associate of Nate Dogg says the singer’s friends turned their backs on him, even refusing to pay for his mounting medical bills. TMZ Reports Nate Dogg’s world-famous rap friends turned their backs on the singer when he needed them most … refusing to pitch in one cent towards his medical costs … this according Nate’s former associate, who’s on the hook for the $300k bill. TMZ broke the story … Nate’s estate AND a record label owner named David Michery … were sued by the medical facility where Nate lived from 2008 to 2010 after suffering a massive stroke. A judge recently ruled in favor of the facility, which means David needs to pay up … or else. Now, it could be that this guy is just bitter because he was stuck with the bill. It doesn’t seem likely that NO ONE would help Nate out in his time of need. What do you think?

It’s one of the funniest videos on record. But, to Bret Michaels, what happened in June 2009 is no laughing matter. The rocker took to the Tony Awards’ stage two years ago, sang alongside the Rock of Ages cast – and then knocked himself silly against a piece of scenery. Relive the dangerous/unfortunate/hilarious incident below: Bret Michaels, Tony Awards Accident Yesterday, Michaels filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles County Superior Court against Tony Award Productions, CBS and others for unspecified damages, claiming producers failed to instruct him how to properly exit the stage following this performance. Bret was treated for a broken nose and cut lip at the scene, and the suit says his brain injury months later was due to this mishap. Reads the document: “One of the most common causes of this type of hemorrhage is head trauma – exactly like the one Michaels suffered at the hands of the Tony Awards.”

We haven’t heard the last from Rebecca Black. Thanks to the help of Ryan Seacrest, on whose radio show Black appeared last Friday, the 13-year old singer has been signed by music manager Debra Baum to her label, DB Entertainment. What kind of music can we expect from Black in the future? The aspiring artist told Entertainment Weekly a few days ago that she wants to record “dance anthem-like stuff.” What about working with famous songwriters? Says the singer: “That’s not a question you should ask me – my parents just throw song ideas at me, and I’ve been listening to a billion different songs.”

Says the singer, who adopted a dog named Sam from a shelter: “It’s really important that people adopt. A lot of animals are getting abused in different homes, different situations. I think it’s important that we stay aware of these situations.” We know what all Bieber followers are thinking: He’s so cute! Why couldn’t he have starred instead in one of PETA’s “ I’d Rather Go Naked ” posters?!?

Jennifer Lopez’ s split from her record label was not an amicable one, according to US reports. J-Lo’s camp says the singer left Epic/Son y at the end of her contract and that the decision was a mutual one. But insiders tell the New York Daily News that after her last two singles, ‘ Louboutins’ and ‘Fresh Out of the Oven’ flopped, the label was not willing to take a risk on Lopez’s album ‘ Love?’ Now Lopez may try to release the album online, the source tells the News. “Epic technically owns the material from her album, so she needs to buy it back from them to have control over it,” the insider told the News. “But she’ll try to release the album online if need be. It may be her last resort to take control of a poor situation.” Lopez’s manager, Benny Medina , insists that the label did not dump Lopez. “Jennifer had a wonderful relationship with the Sony Music Group and they have shared many successes together,” he said. “But the time was right to make a change that best serves the direction of her career as an actress and recording artist.”
