Rachel Maddow: ‘I’m Not Here to Cheerlead for Anybody’. She’s a Drum Major Instead.

News organization or theater of the absurd? You decide. During an interview with her MSNBC colleague Ed Schultz on his radio show Nov. 30, broadcast from MSNBC studios in New York, Rachel Maddow said this about liberals in media — read more

Schultz: I’ll Make Mike Pence ‘Pray To The Porcelain God’

Just when you thought Ed Schultz couldn't get any grosser . . . On his MSNBC show this evening, Schultz bragged that by the time he was done with Mike Pence, the GOP congressman from Indiana would be “praying to the porcelain god.” Schultz made his vulgar boast in a tease for a subsequent “Psycho Talk” segment in which the MSNBC host took Pence to task for suggesting that Joe the Plumber had it right in 2008. read more

Ed Schultz Guest Mike Papantonio Claims ‘Industrialists’ Staging Coup to Topple Obama

How about that, there's someone on the airwaves more unhinged than liberal radio talker and MSNBC heat miser Ed Schultz. And go figure, that someone happens to be a frequent Schultz guest. But between his appearance on Schultz's radio show Nov. 22 and Schultz's MSNBC program several hours later, the caffeine apparently wore off for Mike Papantonio, a lawyer and co-host of the radio show “Ring of Fire,” seeing how Papantonio dialed down his remarks from what he initially told Schultz. Here's what Papantonio said during the first hour of Schultz's radio show Monday between noon and 1 p.m. while complaining about President Obama's upcoming appearance before the US Chamber of Commerce ( video below page break ) —

Ed Schultz Accuses Fox Biz Analyst of Recommending Cannibalism for Unemployed People

Ed Schultz on Tuesday falsely accused Fox Business Network contributor Charles Payne of recommending people on unemployment lines eat each other to survive. Such ironically occurred on the “Psycho Talk” segment of the “Ed Show” (videos follow with partial transcripts and commentary): read more

Schultz In A Speedo? Calls Christie ‘Fat Slob’

Like a meaty moth to a flame . . . Ed Schultz, of all people, just can’t stay away from fat jokes about Chris Christie.  As I documented here , on his MSNBC show last month Schultz made no fewer than seven cracks about Christie’s girth. The un-svelte Schultz was back at it tonight with a series of insults, culminating in calling Christie a “fat slob.” Here was Ed, in his inimitable fashion, making the reasoned case for the Dems’ far-left agenda: “This guy’s nothing but a big bully .” “He’s throwing his weight around again.” “Conservative talk-show hosts and heavy-handed politicians like Christie.” “He’s a cold-hearted fat slob .”

Panicky Schultz: Dump Axelrod, Bring in Begala-Carville

It smells like Tea Party victory.  Ed Schultz has gotten a whiff, and he’s panicking . . . On his MSNBC show this evening, sensing an impending Republican landslide inspired by the Tea Party tempest, Ed called for David Axelrod, Pres. Obama’s chief political adviser, to be thrown overboard for being too “soft.”  Schultz suggested axing the Axe and replacing him with James Carville and Paul Begala. It was Joe Biden’s attempt to rouse the base on Rachel Maddow’s show last night that set Ed off . . . I’ll be back with a transcript. But in the meantime, savor the scent of Dem desperation . . .

Schultz Goes Below Belt with Juvenile Name-calling of Fox’s Doocy

You might think Ed Schultz would be out of place in a junior high recess yard, but that’s where he’s landed himself with his childish name-calling . . . On his show this evening, the MSNBC host—demonstrably desperate to pick a fight with his ratings superiors at Fox News—no fewer than four times referred to FNC host Steve Doocy as Steve “Douche-y.” It was an appearance on a Doocy-hosted show by resident FNC legal expert Judge Andrew Napolitano, discussing the Glenn Beck rally, that supplied Schultz the opportunity to engage in his middle-school mispronunciation. Check the video to witness Ed in the puerile pits.

Boorish Ed Schultz Decries Republican ‘Orgasm’ Over Tax Cuts

Doing his best in a desperate bid to become relevant, the ever-classy Ed Schultz said this on his radio show yesterday about Republicans and taxes ( link here to audio) — They have nothing on the table for the middle class. They have no development whatsoever for the country other than they orgasm over these tax cuts that they just have to have! That’s their whole thing! That’s their whole pleasure! Something tells me more Democrats will share in the joy as the midterms approach. Other examples of Schultz idiocy this summer include referring to “partitioners” instead of “parishioners” — this from a man who speaks often of his reverence for the Lord — and, along the same lines, confusing “pedestal” with “pulpit.”

Unhinged Ed Schultz Goes on Psycho Talk Promo of Failing Show

Your pink slip is on the way. That is the fear that is probably driving Ed Schultz completely over the edge. And Big Ed probably insured the likelihood of that outcome when he recently threatened to go postal and torch MSNBC when that network neglected to promote his abysmally rated show on an election night. Brian Maloney at the Radio Equalizer has recorded the Schultz dementia from his radio show as he pathetically makes the case for the “success” of his failing MSNBC Big Ed show. The full transcript is below the fold but first an excerpt from his demonic rant which demonstrates why the MSNBC suits, for safety sake, might want to pass Ed through a metal detector whenever he enters their studio: And you have no idea, in my bones, in my very soul! In my heart! I want to kick Fox’s ass! I want to drive them into the ground! I want to spike the ball! I want to kick ’em in the teeth on the way back to the huddle! And then I want to turn around and lift my leg on ’em! Because that’s all they’re worth! Here is a transcript  of Ed Schultz in rabid rant mode but the full extent of his uncontrollable rage must be heard to be fully appreciated: Now, Beck has big ratings at 5 o’clock. But at 6 o’clock against me, they drop damn near through the floor. They lose half their audience. In the meantime, The Ed Show, right now, this month of August, we are beating CNN in the demographic 25-54 by 1.2 million people. In total viewers for the month of August, we are beating CNN by 3.77 million. We’re starting to play in the arena of the big boys now.  And it’s not because of me. It’s because you, the viewers and listeners to this show. Now, the other night we got as close as we’ve ever gotten to beating Fox. Bret Baier beat me by 103 points in the demo, 103. Now you see, you have to understand that, they have a big audience but, hell, they’re all old! In 25-54, we’re getting in the neighborhood. …And you have no idea, in my bones, in my very soul! In my heart! I want to kick Fox’s ass! I want to drive them into the ground! I want to spike the ball! I want to kick ’em in the teeth on the way back to the huddle! And then I want to turn around and lift my leg on ’em! Because that’s all they’re worth! MSNBC executives might want to listen carefully to the unhinged fury of their own host before handing him the pink slip. For your own safety, don’t do it while Schultz is still in the studio or you could risk the scorched earth that he threatened…or worse. It would be best to inform him while he is at home during a long weekend. Please be sure to deliver his personal effects to his front door so there would be no need for Big Ed to ever return to the MSNBC studio. Have a happy Labor Day weekend, Ed, and enjoy the music .

MSNBC’s Schultz Compares Tea Party Movement to Nazi ‘Brown Shirts’ to Demonize Beck Rally

Wasn’t comparing your political opponents to Nazis once a no-no? I mean, just remember how upset the liberal concern police would get if some wayward individual at a Tea Party event in some random place in the United States had a homemade sign protesting President Barack Obama and invoked Nazi Germany symbolism? Well, you would think – or at least expect a national TV host (even with considerably lower ratings than his competition ) would certainly avoid using Nazis symbolism to attack those with which they disagree, right? No, apparently it’s just a double standard. On MSNBC’s Aug. 25 “The Ed Show,” a seemingly angry host Ed Schultz said he was “fired up” about the Aug. 28 Glenn Beck event at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C. “This is the story that has me fired up tonight – Glenn Beck is distorting Martin Luther King’s dream and his Tea Party followers are on edge,” Schultz sais. “You know, I just sense that we are going down a very dangerous road right now when a political organization like the Tea Party has members trying to intimidate elected public officials.” According to Schultz, since a blog had posted home addresses of some prominent Democrats – two of which won’t even be in Washington, D.C. because of the August recess, it was an indictment of the entire Tea Party movement as a violent operation. “A Tea Party blog in Maine listed the DC home addresses of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, former Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle, White House former communications director Anita Hill — Anita Dunn, and also her husband White House counsel Bob Bauer. Can somebody tell me why? What is the usefulness of this? Do they actually want people to show up outside their door maybe help them get the morning paper?” And thus since this blog based Maine posted this information, the entire Tea Party movement was the modern equivalent of the Brown Shirts, an organization that aided the rise of Adolf Hitler and the Nazis in the 1930s. ” Folks, this is what the Brown Shirts did in the 1930s in Germany ,” Schultz said. “They used to target businesses, target people, target families, list names, attack their businesses. This isn’t about protesting. This sets the table for intimidation and harassment.” And this wizard of smart took a step further to say former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin and Fox News Channel host Glenn Beck were liable since they weren’t policing the hundreds of thousands, if not millions of their supporters. “Hate mongering leaders of the Tea Party are endorsing this behavior with their silence, their silence is deafening on this issue,” Schultz said. “Now Sarah Palin, if I remember the news, went nuts when a reporter moved in next door to her and she was complaining about her privacy being invaded. Yet, she remains silent when members of her Tea Party publish the home addresses of the Speaker of the House and the Senate Majority Leader. For Glenn Beck, you it’s just not good enough to have a successful radio and TV show. He has to whip up the crazies to the point where they are encouraging each other to intimidate and instill fear. This could set the table for stalking because no one can tell us where all of this ends.”
