SMH Sherman Hemsley Won’t Be Buried Until Dispute Over Will Settled The embalmed body of actor Sherman Hemsley, who became famous for his role as television’s George Jefferson, will be kept in refrigeration at an El Paso funeral home until a local court rules on the validity of his will. In the will Hemsley signed six weeks before dying of lung cancer July 24 he named Flora Enchinton, 56, whom he called a “beloved partner,” as sole beneficiary of his estate, which is estimated in court documents to be more than $50,000. The will is being contested by Richard Thornton, of Philadelphia, who claims to be Hemsley’s brother and says the will might not have been made by the actor. Enchinton told The Associated Press on Wednesday that she had been friends with Hemsley and had been his manager for more than 20 years. Over the time she, Hemsley and Hemsley’s friend Kenny Johnston, 76, lived together, she said he never mentioned any relatives. “Some people come out of the woodwork — they think Sherman, they think money,” Enchinton said. “But the fact is that I did not know Sherman when he was in the limelight. I met them when they (Hemsley and Johnston) came running from Los Angeles with not one penny, when there was nothing but struggle.” Cotdammit, George can’t even “move on up” because this questionable mickiefickie wants a couple dollars! Very sad news to report Via TMZ reports : Sherman Hemsley, the actor who made the character George Jefferson famous in “The Jeffersons,” has died, El Paso cops tell TMZ. Hemsley died at his home in El Paso, Texas. Hemsley, who was 74, became famous during his appearances on “All in the Family.” The spin-off, “The Jeffersons” was a monster hit. He also starred in the TV show, “Amen.” He was also a professional singer and even released the single in 1989, “Ain’t that A Kick in the Head.” Hemsley had no wife and no kids. It’s unclear how he died. Rest in peace Sherman, you will be sorely missed! Get ready Weezie, George is movin’ on up to a deluxe apartment in the sky to join you.

Explain this one Clarissa! A former employee of the candy and yogurt store Sweetharts, owned by Melissa Joan Hart, has filed a racial discrimination and wrongful termination lawsuit against her and the business. In the lawsuit, filed Thursday in Los Angeles and obtained by E! News, Shana Kharineh accuses the Melissa & Joey star and Sweet Harts of wrongful termination, discrimination based on race, retaliation against employee complaining of discrimination, failure to pay wages owed, failure to pay overtime wages, failure to provide meal periods, failure to provide rest periods, failure to pay minimum wage and unlawful business practices. Hart’s camp reached out to E! News, saying, “Melissa Joan Hart is the owner of Sweetharts Sweets in Sherman Oaks, California. While the shop was her vision, Melissa does not currently function in a day-to-day operational capacity, and has never met Shana Kharineh. Sweet Harts Sweets is an equal opportunity employer, as is Melissa Joan Hart. Neither Sweetharts Sweets nor Melissa engages in or condones any form of discrimination whatsoever. There is no basis whatsoever to these vicious allegations.” Kharineh was hired as a manager at the Sherman Oaks store in May 2011 with a starting salary of $450 a week, according to her complaint. The plaintiff alleges that unlike the store’s white employees, Kharineh, who is African American, was given a special dress code based on her race and told not to wear black because “‘black on black’ did not look appropriate.” Kharineh also says that because the store was understaffed June 2011, she was forced to work in excess of 60 hours per week with no overtime pay and no breaks. The next month, she claims, her employers “berated and humiliated” her, criticizing her performance and relationship with her fellow employees and complaining that “when she bent over her underwear would show.” She was fired in August and believes it’s because of her race and her complaints about her working conditons. We can’t think of too many employers who wouldn’t want their managers working like crazy, but the law is the law… The “black on black” comment does sound crazy though. If Melissa isn’t involved in the day-to-day operations, perhaps she should be so her name doesn’t come up in any more lawsuits! Source
While Drake is supposed to be working on his new album, a specific concert promoter fraudulently booked him for a show at the Sherman Theater in Stroudsburg, PA. According to TMZ.com the “con-artist” allegedly pretended to be Drake’s manager to book the show. The theater canceled the shows after finding out that they were bogus.
