You Can’t Be Serious: Senile Sterling Sues NBA For $1 Billion

He just won’t let go. Donald Sterling Sues NBA For $1 Billion Just hours after news broke that Donald Sterling is legally incompetent , the racist former LA Clippers owner filed papers suing the league, alleging that he was wrongfully pushed out of his position after his private conversation was illegally recorded and publicized. …Good luck with that. Via TMZ : Donald Sterling has filed a lawsuit against the NBA for more than $1 BILLION, claiming he was unconstitutionally bullied out of the league. Sterling filed a federal lawsuit Friday afternoon … claiming the NBA booted him from the league based on what he called an illegal recording that was widely publicized … painting him as a racist. As you know … TMZ obtained the recording and posted it on the website. Sterling also claims the $2.5 million fine was baseless and a violation of antitrust laws. Shelly Sterling sold the team late Thursday to former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer for $2 billion. The deal will almost certainly be ratified by the NBA. We thought this old racist signed over all his legal rights? How is he able to file suit, ESPECIALLY for such a large sum of money, if he’s not even competent enough to put the correct shoe on each foot?

Sayonara Sterling! Clippers Sold To Former Microsoft Exec For $2 Billion

That old racist and his wife are out of here! LA Clippers Sell For $2 Billion Looks like V. Stiviano’s setup worked like a charm. After turning over his ownership of the Clippers to his equally bigoted wife , the team has finally been sold to a new owner. So, who’s the wealthy man with enough bank to drop 2 BILLION dollars for an NBA franchise? According to NYDailyNews : That’s $2 billion with an uppercase B! Former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer has apparently won the bidding war Thursday for the Los Angeles Clippers with a staggering $2 billion offer for the NBA franchise, according to the L.A. Times. The frenzied battle to get the team from Sterling drove the franchise’s price sky high for a team that Forbes estimated was worth at $575 million back in January. The franchise has been in turmoil since owner Donald Sterling was recorded on tape by an associate making racist comments about Magic Johnson, among others. In short order, NBA commissioner Adam Silver slammed Sterling with an unprecedented lifetime ban for his remarks, imposed a $2.5 million fine, and began the process to force a sale of the Clippers. Sterling’s wife, Shelly, who owns 50 percent of the team had been reviewing five bids for the franchise. The Daily News reported on Friday that Sterling had decided to part with the team he bought for $12.5 million in 1981. According to the L.A. Times, the 58-year-old Ballmer, who is reportedly worth around $20 billion, apparently edged out groups led by Los Angeles-based investors Tony Ressler and Steve Karsh, as well as a group that included music mogul David Geffen and the Guggenheim Group, the owners of the Los Angeles Dodgers. As, the saying goes, “ loose lips sink ships !” His side chick appetite coupled with a racist attitude brought on his downfall. Looks like Old Man Sterling will just have to go have sit his racist azz down somewhere.

Magic Johnson on Donald Sterling: Pray for Him…

Magic Johnson is taking the high road when it comes to Donald Sterling. In his interview with Anderson Cooper on CNN last night, Sterling did apologize for his recent racist rant, which was directed at girlfriend V. Stiviano and released as an audio recording a few weeks ago. But the 80-year old Clippers owner also went off on Magic for some reason, blasting the NBA legend for having AIDS and for doing nothing to help the African-American community. His words really needs to be heard to be believed: Donald Sterling Slams Magic Johnson In response, Johnson called in to TMZ this afternoon, denied talk that he’s trying to purchase the Clippers and said: “I’m a proud black man. I’m a leader in the black community and I take that role seriously.” Magic, of course, has famously moved movie theaters, Starbucks and other franchises into inner cities area, greatly boosting their economies and providing many new jobs for residents. Johnson added that Sterling has never officially apologized to him or to the African-American community and that he’s clearly trying to pit Jews against blacks… but it isn’t going to work. “It’s sad,” Magic concluded . “We just got to pray for him.” And hope we never, ever, ever need to hear another word out of his racist mouth again. Donald Sterling Says Magic Johnson Is No Role Model, Should Be Ashamed That He “Got AIDS”!!!! [VIDEO]

It’s clearly time for this guy to shuffle off to the old folks’ home. Someone come get him… Donald Sterling Condemns Magic Johnson’s HIV On Anderson 360 Donald Sterling’s interview with Anderson Cooper aired earlier this evening, and it was even more bizarre than we expected. Despite insisting that he isn’t racist and has no problem with Magic Johnson, he spent a good chunk of his interview going in on Magic , his disease, and Black people’s inferiority to Jews when it comes to giving back to their communities. You really have to see this one for yourself to believe the reckless words falling out of his mouth. Via CNN : While saying he admires Johnson and that his role in the scandal is “irrelevant,” Sterling questioned Johnson’s character in the CNN interview. “Well, what kind of a guy goes to every city, has sex with every girl, then he catches HIV? Is that someone we want to respect and tell our kids about?” Sterling asked. “I think he should be ashamed of himself. I think he should go into the background. But what does he do for the black people? He doesn’t do anything…” Sterling had choice words for Johnson, telling Cooper he thinks Johnson wanted him to not respond to the media firestorm that erupted after the recordings surfaced so Johnson, who is a part of the ownership groups of the Los Angeles Dodgers and the WNBA team Los Angeles Sparks, could buy the Clippers. “He thought the whole thing will be resolved in two weeks,” Sterling said. “What has he done? Can you tell me? Big Magic Johnson, what has he done?” Sterling said Jewish people spend great amounts of money helping other Jews who are poor while rich black people turn their backs to people in need. “That’s one problem I have. Jews when they get successful they will help their people and some of the African-Americans — maybe I’ll get in trouble again — they don’t want to help anybody,” he said. And after all this, he still thinks his players “love him.” Um…ok Don. He also said he thinks Anderson Cooper is a bigger racist than he is…but never actually gave a reason for that statement. He really is just ranting and making zero sense. Does anyone else smell dementia or senility on this old racist?

Mad Men Season 7 Episode 2 Recap: Honest Don?

Getting fired can take a tremendous toll on anyone’s health and well-being, but for a man like Don Draper (who got drunk every night and took frequent midday naps even while he was gainfully employed), an extended period of rudderless inactivity could amount to a slow death sentence. Watch Mad Men Season 7 Episode 2 Online As we learned on last night’s episode of Mad Men , Don seems well aware of how much trouble he’s in without the stabilizing influences of wife and work. So while he may have taken to pounding the snooze alarm until noon, he’s also begun carefully monitoring his whiskey consumption and he continues smuggling pitches to his former colleagues at SC & P. We also learned last night that Don’s been lying about his unwelcome sabbatical to Megan and the rest of his family. As he usually does with personal matters, Don has once again chosen deceit over confrontation, and the result is predictably messy. Which brings us to the Draper the audience actually still likes: Sally! Don’s daughter is the first to discover that his lunch meetings have been replaced by daytime TV when she makes an unannounced visit to his office and finds eternally-cardiganed douchebag Lou in Don’s place. Sally knows instantly she’s been lied to by her father and the effect on their relationship is immediate and profound. She already busted Don for cheating on yet another mother figure last season, but this latest deception seems to confirm what she’d dreaded: lying for Don Draper comes as naturally as breathing. Reminded again of how dishonesty can irreparably damage even the strongest bonds, father and daughter both quietly resolve to be more truthful with the world. Note how uncomfortable Sally is with even the small deception of hiding a pair of ill-gotten sandals in her closet. When Sally beseeches Don to “just tell the truth,” she’s talking about much more than her school absence note. Realizing that he’s let his daughter down yet again, Don admits his guilt and shows his true self for possibly the first time since he shed his Dick Whitman skin.  The fact that Don is not only capable of honesty but wants so desperately to guide Sally in the right direction gives us reason to hold out hope for these two for the first time in a long time.  When Sally says, “I’m so many people” she’s giving voice to Don’a anxiety about his own double life and he seems to want nothing more than to save her from his fate. Elsewhere: Peggy snatches her receptionist’s Valentine’s gift in a strangely sitcom-y subplot that seems very un- Mad Men . Hopefully they won’t make a habit hackneyed jokes about Peggy’s spinsterdom. Though Ginsberg describing her holiday plans (“Masurbate gloomily”) made for one of the episode’s best lines. Pete may be Mr. LA these days, but he’s still Captain Douche as far as his East Coast colleagues are concerned. Some things never change. Speaking of douches, Dawn standing up to Lou was fantastic. As rewarding as watching the death of King Joffrey . Also: Joan gets promoted! Cooper’s a racist! As always, much is taking place in the offices of SC & P. (Even the name keeps changing!) 9 Memorable Mad Men Moments: Sex, Drugs and Lawnmower Mishaps!

With the seventh and final season of Mad Men premiering this Sunday, we thought it would be a good time to relive some of the most jaw-dropping moments from the acclaimed series’ first six seasons. 9 Memorable Mad Men Moments Open Slideshow 1. Don Draper Crying Don broke down and showed his human side after learning about the death of a friend. We’re sure the final season will hold many more emotional moments for Don. Some scenes will never leave out mind (You don’t see lawnmowers in office buildings for a reason, people!), while others we had all but forgotten about (Remember when Betty was a gun-toting badass! Neither did we!) and w ith 78 episodes already in the books, it was no easy task choose just a few favorite clips. Some fans might consider the show’s finest moment to be the unforgettable declaration, “My name is Peggy Olson, and I want to smoke some marijuana,” while we’re certain at least a few others would cast their vote for the time meek Lane Price “kicked the crap” out weaselly Pete Campbell. Part of what’s made Mad Men such an enduring hit among critics and audiences alike is the way the show manages to blend gut-wrenching human drama with jet black humor – sometimes within the same scene. But whether it’s the humor or the heartache that keeps bringing you back to the offices of SCDP, we hope you’ll agree that the scenes in the gallery above reflect some truly stand-out moments from our favorite ad men. And don’t forget: if you need to catch up before the final season you can watch Mad Men online at TV Fanatic!
