Missouri Police Handcuff And Assault The Wrong Person A Missouri college student with a CLEAN record says he no longer trusts police after they confused him with a criminal. KMOV reports: St. Ann Police apologized to a college student after they admitted to causing severe injuries to his face after accusing him of a crime he didn’t commit on Thursday. Police were in pursuit of Anton Simmons, who had 17 warrants our for his name, when 22-year-old Joseph Swink crashed his car trying to avoid the police pursuit on Interstate 70. “They ended up grabbing him [Swink], tossing him to the ground, and were trying to handcuff him,” said St. Ann Police Chief Aaron Jimenez. “All the sirens and lights were going off. It was very loud and they couldn’t hear anything the citizen was saying.” Swink is an accounting student at UMSL with no criminal record and was on his way home from an internship when he was accidentally involved in the pursuit. Police say they were able to get him into custody using the least amount of force necessary, but when they finally had him in handcuffs on the ground, they heard on their radios that the real suspect was in custody at a different location. Swink suffered severe damage to his ear and his vehicle was totaled. “I never really had 100 percent trust in police before,” Swink said. “But I really don’t now.” Anton Simmons Chief Jimenez says he has given a sincere apology for the entire situation. SMH….this sounds like a lawsuit waiting to happen.

According to TV Guide, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star will play a divorced reality star who goes house-hunting with Bonnie and Vince on her reality show within the show. Sounds hilarious! Grammer previously starred in 1996’s The Naked Detective as Annie O’Shea and as Bikini Girl in Westchester in 1997’s Private Parts .

Popular daytime TV blowhard Dr. Phil has always been a bit of an attack dog. Just ask the two women he locked in a house with some naked dude . It’s his actual dog who’s at the center of the doc’s latest controversy, though. Phil and Robin McGraw are being sued for personal injury and damages after it attacked their best friend at the couple’s mansion in Beverly Hills. Janet Harris filed suit against the pair this week, alleging that the couple’s gross negligence resulted in serious injuries courtesy of Maggie. Harris claims she was brutally mauled by canine without provocation or warning, resulting in cuts, abrasions and deep puncture wounds. The McGraws allegedly refused to provide compensation or assistance to Janet to aid with her illness, according to her attorney, who notes: “While their friend suffered severe pain and mental anguish , the McGraws finalized the purchase of a $29.5 million Beverly Hills mansion.” Way to get in that highly relevant dig, attorney guy. VANCOUVER, Wash.—A woman who gained sympathy worldwide after she claimed a random assailant threw acid on her face came forward Thursday with startling admission: She inflicted the attack on herself. Vancouver police chief Clifford Cook said Bethany Storro admitted under police questioning to fabricating a story about the attack, in which she suffered severe burns. Cook said he did not know a motive for Storro's actions, but added she is “very remorseful.” He said Storro was still being interviewed by detectives. The police chief said that “during the course of the investigation, several discrepancies began to emerge regarding the alleged attack,” leading police to search her home earlier Thursday and interview her. “During the interview, Ms. Storro admitted the injuries were self-inflicted,” Cook said. Police had been seeking a black woman with a ponytail after Storro described the Aug. 30 attack. She had said the woman asked her, “Hey, pretty girl, want something to drink?” then threw acid in her face. She recounted details of the alleged attack at a news conference, with her head wrapped in bandages and her parents by her side. She said she wanted to know why the unnamed assailant had attacked her. After the incident, Storro made several media appearances, but a planned interview on “The Oprah Winfrey Show” was canceled.
