The pair got married in a secret ceremony in Malibu on Wednesday (Sept. 25) and the man who officiated their wedding? None other than movie director Peter Berg . The pair have had a whirlwind romance over the past year or so after Cassie split from her longtime partner, Sean “Diddy” Combs. Over the summer, Cassie & Fine announced that they were expecting their first child together and less than a month ago, Fine got down on one knee and proposed. Congrats to the lucky couple!
One of the big problems with the social media age is that many people find themselves constantly comparing their own circumstances with the lives of others. For example, the camping trip you took in July may have been the highlight of your summer, but when held up against that European backpacking excursion your Instagram mutual keeps posting about, it looks pretty lame. Nowhere is the phenomenon more evident than in the rebellion of Jinger Duggar. Many young adults who make a conscious decision to live in defiance of their parents belief system do so by getting neck tattoos, living in yurts, or supporting Andrew Yang. Jinger’s dissent takes a much more subtle form, but it’s no less courageous. In fact, given how strict her upbringing was and how much she has to lose, there’s more bravery in Jinger wearing pants than in your typical millennial pursuing a bachelor’s degree in pole dancing studies. First, Jinger married a man her parents don’t approve of, Then, with his permission, she defied the famous Duggar dress. Earlier this year, Jinger and husband Jeremy Vuolo relocated to Los Angeles , a move her famously ultra-conservative parents most definitely did not approve of. The situation has become so dire that rumors of Jim Bob and Michelle disowning Jinger have been circulating non-stop on social media. We doubt things are quite that bad, but it’s evident that Jinger is not her parent’s favorite these days. (Jim Bob and Michelle have yet to visit the Vuolos in LA, and contact between the two couples is limited.) Through it all, Jinger has continued to wear the clothing that was strictly off-limits during her upbringing. And many fans think she’s doing so in defiance of her ultra conservative father: That’s a recent photo of Jinger spending some quality time with her eldest sister, Jana. It certainly looks innocent enough at first glance, but as you can see Jinger’s shoulders are exposed, which is a major no-no in the Duggar dress code. Jinger has permission from her husband to dress less conservatively than her sisters (like we said, all rebellions are relative), but you can bet her father is less than thrilled with this pic. Add to that the fact that Jinger appers to be passing her rebellious spirit onto her daughter, and it’s very possible that Jim Bob hit the roof: Yes, little Felicity is also rocking a sleveless top. It’s unclear if the dress code is as strict for young children, but we wouldn’t be surprised if this were Jinger’s subtle way of sending a message to her overbearing father. “Her outfit is so cute!” one commenter wrote. “Awww she is such a beautiful little girl like her momma!!” a second added. “My daughter has that same outfit!!!” A recent trailer for the upcoming season of Counting On teased a scene in which Jinger and Michelle finally have a frank discussion about her attire. “There is a lot in the media saying there is conflict between you guys about your choice to wear pants. Is there conflict?” a producer asks. Sadly, it looks like we’ll have to wait for the season premiere for her answer. Jon Gosselin has once again attacked his ex-wife for being a terrible mother. On its own, such an attack would scarcely be news; Jon has been doing this for about a decade. But the details of this verbal assault are different from his many past ones, most notably because they appear to be backed up by son Collin. The 15-year old was away from his family for many years due to what mother Kate Gosselin would simply refer to as “special needs.” Toward the very end of 2018, Jon took the teenager out of Fairmont Behavioral Health Institute and Collin has been living with his father ever since. For the very first time, meanwhile, we’re now learning about the details behind Collin’s estrangement from his family — and they are quite disturbing. “Dear Dad, I’m not trying to trick you, but I still love you,” Collin wrote in a June 2017 letter obtained by DailyMailTV this week. The letter continues as follows: “I told Mom I want to live with you, she said no. But right? She can’t choose for me. I’m old enough now, I’m YOUR son, not hers. “She was abusive to me after I left your house. I’m sorry. Take this to court because … you’re my dad, my savior.” The message does not explain exactly how Kate was allegedly abusive toward Collin. But the letter was reportedly leaked by Collin’s roommate, and it concluded: “Please help me and let me meet Colleen [Conrad, Jon’s girlfriend]. I’m counting on you to get me out of here. Daddy, I love you. save me. Please come FAST. I love you. Help me. BYE.” Jon himself then spoke to DailyMailTV and took maybe his harshest swipes ever at his ex-wife. Which is saying a ton, considering all the ways Jon has trashed Kate in the past. He said Collin had spent three years “caged” in the special needs institution despite only being diagnosed with ADHD, telling the outlet: “Kate … couldn’t deal with him. He was alone for three and a half years with no parents, all alone. It was inhumane.” After Jon received this troubling letter — written in crayon from his son — he “raised the money to get a lawyer and went through the courts to get joint legal custody” only to have Collin moved to another institution five hours away in Pittsburgh, he explains: “I’d drive out to Pittsburgh to visit him as much as I could and eventually it progressed to overnight stays before he was finally released into my custody.” Over the years, fans certainly noticed that Collin was not included in family photos with his siblings. Any time the subject was raised, Kate would not elaborate beyond the aforementioned description of Collin having “special needs,” saying this to People Magazine in 2016: [There’s] a fairly fluid diagnosis of what those needs are, but he needs to learn certain strategies to help him deal with things. This has been a struggle we’ve had for a very long time, and it’s one I’ve dealt with on my own. She and Jon divorced in 2009 after rising to fame on a TLC reality show that chronicled their lives as the parents of both twins and sextuplets. “It’s time America found out the truth about Kate, she isn’t the person you think she is,” Jon said of the reality star mom, who now has her own reality show titled Kate Plus Date. Jon won temporary custody of Collin in December 2018 after Kate no-showed a hearing to determine the future of her son. She has reportedly severed all ties from Collin , who lives with Jon these days in Pennsylvania. (His sister, Hannah, also lives with her dad, who remains very distant from his other six children.) “I know my children have suffered abuse and I know one day they’re going to tell their own story,’ Jon told DailyMail TV. “And sadly enough, I know what PTSD is. It’s really upsetting.” According to DHS documents seen by DailyMailTV, numerous allegations of suspected child abuse against Kate were investigated. However, the agency ultimately had determined the reports were unfounded due to a lack of evidence. “I think Kate has really poisoned my children’s minds against me,” Jon says of why never talks to three-quarters of his kids, adding: “She’s put stuff in their minds about my personality. I never cheated on my wife, I’m not a monster, I love my children more than anything… “I brought Collin home. He’s a great kid. I want the family unit together, I even want to co-parent.” As for why Jon is finally speaking out now? He signed a 10-year gag order as part of his divorce settlement — and those 10 years are now up. “There’s a lot of stuff I want to dispel, there’s a lot of untruths,” Jon concludes “I have watched my children suffer and I have not been able to say a word. Kate wanted the gag order because she didn’t want me speaking the truth. “I know everything. I lived it with her and without her. So I know every single thing that has transpired and what has been portrayed to the American public, it’s not all true.”
America most definitely has talent. After yet another summer of impressive singer, dancers, magicians and plenty more took to the NBC stage on a weekly basis, this much has been made clear. But who in America has the most talent? According to this beloved reality series? This question answered on the America’s Got Talent Season 14 finale on Wednesday night. Cue the drumroll and then cue the congratulatory message to… … KODI LEE! After weeks of competition, Lee was been crowned the latest champion yesterday evening, besting fellow finalists opera singer Emanne Beasha, violinist Tyler Butler-Figueroa, dance troupe Light Balance Kids, singer Benicio Bryant and Ndlovu Youth Choir in the process. “I feel so amazing,” he told Terry Crews after winning. “Unbelievable!” In many ways, this result felt preordained a long time ago. And also well-deserved. The 22 year-old singer and pianist is blind and autistic, yet neither of those attributes prevented him from putting on incredible performances all season long. He run to the title started back when he earned Gabrielle Union’s golden buzzer in the first audition episode of the season. In addition to the honor of being the winner, Lee takes home $1 million and will headline shows from November 7-10 at Paris Las Vegas Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. Along with his memorable vocal abilities, Lee’s life story quickly made him a Season 14 fan favorite. The Lake Elsinore, California, native was born with optic nerve hypoplasia and diagnosed with autism at age 4. His mother, Tina, accompanied him on stage for the entire competition Truly inspiring stuff all around. “He’s making people believe in something they didn’t even know is attainable. He’s magic,” Union previously told People Magazine of Lee. Speaking to the press about an hour after the finale, Lee exclaimed: “Heck, yeah! I’m a winner!” The finale features performances from the likes of Cher, Billy Ray Cyrus, and Leona Lewis. It also gave us a surprise reunion between Simon Cowell and his former fellow American Idol judge, Paula Abdul, who secretly performed with Light Balance Kids and only revealed herself at the end of the performance. Much to Cowell’s shock. In the end, though, it all came back to Lee and down to Lee. “Everybody rooted for him and he’s probably one of the most popular winners we’ve had on one of these shows,” Cowell said, concluding: “He’s got an amazing talent. … The guy’s just an absolute star. He’s one of those contestants you’re going to remember. You’ll always remember that first audition.” CONGRATS TO KODI LEE!
As soon as the news broke that Jay Smith and Kayle O’Brien broke up , fans wondered if he might try to get back with Ashley. He had a much better life with her than she had with him. And the rumors sounded plausible after they showed up at the same event. Now, Ashley is telling 90 Day Fiance fans exactly what’s really going on, and why she and Jay were “together.” Over the weekend — around the same time as Jay’s split with his mistress-turned-girlfriend Kayla — Jay and Ashley appeared at the same venue. That’s odd for exes, especially bitter ones. In fact, it may have been a violation of Ashley’s protective order that is supposed to keep Jay at bay. “Was it weird being at the same event with Jay?” one of her devoted followers asked on Instagram. “It’s expected we both filmed the same show,” Ashley replied, expressing a cavalier attitude. Ashley continued: “I just do my thing and handle my business.” “Why are you and Jay acting like you didn’t hang out last night?” another, more confrontational and accusatory, follower asked. “Where did you see me to know how I’m ‘acting’ about last nights appearance,” Ashley clapped back. “I have not responded about what I did or didn’t do at the event,” she clarified. Ashley continued: “Please don’t state I’m acting some type of way.” “…stop creating stories in your head!” she concluded. That’s very good advice (unless you’re a writer). The venue in question, by the way, was an OK Magazine party. Honestly, the magazine should have known better than to invite both exes. Fine normally, not fine when there’s a domestic violence prevention order. Another guest was Bachelor in Paradise ‘s Christian Estrada, who is notably rumored to be dating Ashley. The most exciting guest of the night was probably Tyler Cameron — who did not have Gigi Hadid with him. (We don’t think that this means that their relationship is in trouble so much as that Gigi has no need to attend an OK Magazine party) We’re sure that it was a large enough crowd that Ashley and Jay could avoid rubbing elbows. Early this summer, Ashley went on a much-needed family vacation. After months of stress, it was the perfect getaway. Unfortunately, during her absence, Jay allegedly broke into her home — months after separation — and took things. Given what Ashley says is a documented history of abuse during their relationship, police advised her to get a PFA. On July 1, Ashley obtained that Protection From Abuse order from the court and Jay was barred from approaching her or discussing the order. Unfortunately, just one day later, he broke the PFA, publicly discussing the order. Police saw it on Instagram. Jay was at least wise enough to voluntarily surrender instead of forcing police to arrest him. Because he is not a legal resident, Jay was placed in ICE custody. He spent the majority of July behind bars and was miserable. (As abhorrent as ICE’s recent crimes against humanity may be, it’s not easy to sympathize with a dude who deliberately broke a restraining order) However, his boss at the tattoo shop wrote up a check and paid his bail once the court actually set bail for him. Jay was free. Honestly, after all of that, you would think that Jay would be more careful about the PFA order. Ashley probably could have made Jay’s life miserable this weekend, but clearly opted to do otherwise. Jay’s recent ex, Kayla, seems to think that Ashley is capricious and wants to lure Jay close to her so that she can call the police. Of course, she has that impression of Ashley because her knowledge of Jay’s ex-wife all comes through Jay. Consider the source, folks. Mackenzie McKee is going through a lot these days. The new Teen Mom OG cast member is dealing with her mother's ongoing cancer battle, along with her recent split from husband Josh. The reality star announced this impending divorce in mid-August , sounding somewhat optimistic about her future despite this unfortunate development. But now McKee doesn't sound like she's in a great place. Nor does she sound like a huge fan of Josh. Scroll down for the latest on the MTV personality and her personal life… 1. Where did it all go wrong? When Josh cheated on her? Or, at least, when allegations of Josh cheating on her surfaced. 2. Did he actually cheat? TBD, we guess. On McKee’s first episode of Teen Mom OG, we watched as Mackenzie grew concerned over her husband’s fidelity after he left for a rodeo and a woman contacted McKee, alleging that she witnessed Josh flirting with another female. 3. What’s the history here? The couple tied the knot in 2013 and have been dating since 2009. They have three kids: son Gannon, 7, daughter Jaxie Taylor, 5, and Broncs Weston, who turned 3 this summer. 4. How did McKee break the news? “I would like to say, that due to stress, me needing to stay focused, the media, etc. I am deciding my marriage needs a break. My heart breaks for my kids. But as of right now, this is what’s best. Thank you,” the reality star wrote back on August 24. 5. Staying Positive “Freshly single and ready to, be the boss babe that I am and let God lead me to what i deserve,” McKee later wrote in as a caption to a selfie. She later edited the caption to point out that the picture “is an old photo so my ring is on.” 6. It all sounded pretty amicable at the time… … but then? Alex Trebek has some very unfortunate news to share. About four months after the Jeopardy! host told fans he was in ” near remission ” after having been diagnosed with stage four pancreatic cancer… … the beloved television personality is here to say otherwise. In an interview that aired on Tuesday’s Good Morning America, the long-running Jeopardy! host revealed that he’s once again undergoing chemotherapy. “The doctors have decided that I have to undergo chemo again and that’s what I’m doing,” Trebek explained, adding: “I was doing so well and my numbers went down to the equivalent of a normal human being who does not have pancreatic cancer, so we were all very optimistic. “They said, ‘Good, we’re gonna stop chemo, we’ll start you on immunotherapy’ and I lost about 12 pounds in a week and my numbers went sky-high, much higher than they were when I was first diagnosed. It doesn’t sound like the 79-year old is feeling his best, either. Alex Trebek Offers Cancer Update “My hair started to grow back, but now I have to undergo chemo again, so what little hair I have grown [this summer] is going to disappear again,” he told GMA’s T.J. Holmes. “In terms of getting my strength back, that hasn’t happened, unfortunately.” Trebek, who revealed his cancer diagnosis on March 6 , has also lost a lot of weight of late. About 12 pounds in a week, to be exact. The host proceeded to tell GMA that “cancer is mysterious in more ways than one,” and that battling it has taken a tough toll on his body. “It has different effects on you,” he said. “For some reason, and I don’t understand why, occasionally it will cause excruciating pain in my lower back. Other times it’s fatigue, other times it’s nausea. It varies.” The terrible truth is that Trebek has one of the most aggressive types of cancer out there. The five-year survival rate is extremely small and the median survival rate for people diagnosed with stage four pancreatic cancer is three to six months. It is incurable. Trebek says he sometimes feels a “surge of sadness and depression,” but he also plans to continue hosting the game show for as long as he can “walk out and greet the contestants.” And as for death, Trebek said that he isn’t concerned. “I realize that there is an end in sight for me just as there is for everyone else,” he says. “One line that I have used for our staff in recent weeks and months is that when I do pass on, one thing they will not say at my funeral is, ‘Oh, he was taken too soon.'” But he disagrees with this predicted assessment. “I’m 79 years old. I’ve had one hell of a good life and I’ve enjoyed it. “And the thought of passing on doesn’t frighten me. It doesn’t. Other things do. The effect it’ll have on my loved ones, yes that bothers me, it makes me sad. “But the thought of myself moving on? Hey folks, it comes with the territory.” This is what Trebek said back in March: Just like 50,000 other people in the United States each year, this week I was diagnosed with stage IV pancreatic cancer. Now, normally the prognosis for this is not very encouraging, but I’m gonna fight this and I’m gonna keep working and with the love and support of my family and friends and with the help of your prayers also, I plan to beat the low survival rate statistics for this disease. Prince Harry celebrated a pair of milestones on Sunday: 1. His 35th birthday. 2. His very first birthday as a father. And beloved/beautiful/polarizing wife Meghan Markle was right there to shower her husband with figurative kisses in one of the sweetest tributes you’ll read this month. “Wishing a very happy birthday to His Royal Highness Prince Harry, The Duke of Sussex!” opened a caption to the photo above, which was posted @sussexroyal Instagram account. In the very bottom right of this collage, among many other personal and candid photos of Harry, we get a glimpse at a brand new snapshot of him, Markle and their son, Archie. The new image depitcs a doting Harry crouching down to look at his child, who is on mom Meghan’s lap, during a special celebration back in the summer. Elsewhere in the photograph collection? A few childhood pics of Harry, including one him as a baby with his late mother Princess Diana. Also one of Harry as a small boy with brother Prince William. There’s also a gorgeous picture of of the Duke and Duchess kissing at their 2018 wedding. And, finally, pics of Harry in his military uniforms and meeting people on his Royal tours. Wrote Markle herself as a message to Harry: Your service to the causes you care so deeply for inspires me every day. You are the best husband and most amazing dad to our son. We love you. Happiest birthday! Next week, Meghan and Harry are scheduled to travel with young Archie to South Africa for what will mark the child’s first Royal tour. It ought to garner the family a great deal of attention, but today belongs to Harry, not his precious offspring. “Wishing a very happy birthday to The Duke of Sussex today!” read a message on the Instagram page of Kensington Palace, which represents the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, alongside a photo of the brothers dressed in military uniforms and smiling at one another. Perhaps this caption will put to rest rumors of a feud between Harry and William . But probably not, knowing the media and all those supermarket tabloids, you know? Harry’s father Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall also sent their best to the birthday boy today, as did The Royal Family Instagram account, which represents Queen Elizabeth and other members of the family. “Wishing a very Happy Birthday to The Duke of Sussex, who turns 35 today!” Charles and Camilla’s post read. “Happy Birthday to The Duke of Sussex – 35 today! #HappyBirthdayHRH” the Queen’s post read.
