Hundreds of coats were donated this past weekend at a joint community event to help warm and feed those in need, that utilize Positive American Youth’s food pantry and family resource center. Hot 107.9 & Bud Light came aboard with volunteers, music (DJ B. Jonez) and a ton of give away prizes for those that brought donations. Some of those prizes included tickets to the Bud Light Superbowl Music Fest! The event was hosted by Reec, midday personality on Hot 107.9. But prior to his eleventh-hour sunken decision, the NFL was practically begging Cardi B to turn up and support Maroon 5 at the show — which she has notably refused. However, according to a source for Page Six , Cardi is only refusing to perform at halftime because the NFL isn’t meeting her outlandish demands, not because she has any solidarity with kneeling players or issues with the league’s racial policies. The source claims Cardi demanded to be paid around $1 million to appear during the 20-minute performance and also required a solo spot during the show without Maroon 5 accompanying her on stage. The thing is, the NFL typically doesn’t pay artists to perform at all. They instead give a “gift in kind” to performers, which covers all production and wardrobe for the performance, travel, and accommodations for the artists. It’s more of a career benchmark and honor for the artists than a big-check opportunity. But Cardi wants her cash. Other sources close to Cardi claim that she really is refusing the slot in solidarity with Kaepernick and his #TakeAKnee movement, and it has nothing to do with the 7 figures the NFL isn’t handing out. Mark Ganzon/Getty Images for Fenty Beauty Rihanna Is Serious About Not Wanting Trump To Play Her Music This past weekend, political analyst Philip Rucker was tweeting about how amazing Donald Trump’s rallies were because they throw out free T-shirts and blare Rihanna’s “Don’t Stop The Music” and everyone just loves it. Of course, this tweet ended up making the rounds and circled back all the way to Rihanna , who obviously isn’t okay with her music being played anywhere that’s associated with 45. She swiftly tweeted her disapproval and promised that her song wouldn’t be played at “those tragic rallies” for music longer…and Rih meant BUSINESS. Not for much longer…me nor my people would ever be at or around one of those tragic rallies, so thanks for the heads up philip! https://t.co/dRgRi06GrJ — Rihanna (@rihanna) November 5, 2018 According to the people over at TMZ , the star really did fire off a cease and desist letter to the cheeto-in-chief after he played “Don’t Stop the Music” at his Sunday rally in Chattanooga, TN. According to the letter, Trump has used Rihanna’s music “in connection with a number of political events held across the United States,” which is deemed “improper” because Rihanna hasn’t given her consent. Trump could ask permission from here on out, but we all know what her answer would be–which is probably why his people didn’t bother approaching her in the first place. This is far from the first time we’ve seen Ms. Fenty get political. Rihanna has remained politically active during this midterm season, and she endorsed Florida candidate Andrew Gillum on Instagram over the weekend as she continues to encourage every one of her fans to go vote. On top of that, Rih also made headlines recently for her apparent refusal to play at the Superbowl halftime show, which she did in support of Colin Kaepernick.

Maroon 5, which is a great band by the way (we love Adam Whatshisname), has been tapped to headline the halftime show at the 2019 Super Bowl. As much as we love Adam though, he doesn’t make us think of Atlanta or even want to visit Atlanta. The NFL made a questionable decision.
