Some Winter Preciousness: Kimmy Cakes Takes NorWeezy Ice Skating

Nori Gets Ice Skating Lessons From Kimmy Cakes In NYC Snow Aw how cute is this shot of North West ice skating with her mom in NY from earlier this week? The pair were photographed at the Standard Hotel pop up rink on Monday and it looks like North wasn’t sure whether she was delighted to be hitting the ice — or terrified. We do love her Supreme sweats paired with her winter fur though. North was spotted in the same getup on her mom’s ‘gram this week. Hit the flip for more photos SplashNews/Instagram

Bolitics: Should President Barack Obama Choose A SCOTUS Successor Following Justice Antonin Scalia’s Death?

President Obama To Choose Successor Following Justice Antonin Scalia’s Death Conservative Court Justice Antonin Scalia , who voted against Obamacare, same-sex gay marriage and said affirmative action sends black students to schools “too advanced” for them, has peacefully passed away at age 79 while in Texas. Now, Republicans are trying to stall President Obama right to pick a new successor as soon as possible according to CNN reports: Within two hours of Scalia’s death being reported, presidential candidates along with Republican and Democratic leaders on Capitol Hill were feuding over whether Obama should appoint a replacement for the eloquent and outspoken Scalia or wait for the next administration to make a decision. The battle lines underscored the huge political stakes in the 2016 election, which could cement the ideological balance of the court for years to come. Obama said Saturday he would nominate a successor “in due time,” but Republican Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell insisted the next administration should make the appointment. “The American people should have a voice in the selection of their next Supreme Court Justice,” the Kentucky Republican said. “Therefore, this vacancy should not be filled until we have a new President.” But Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid issued a scathing statement, previewing the heated fight ahead. “The President can and should send the Senate a nominee right away,” Reid said. “With so many important issues pending before the Supreme Court, the Senate has a responsibility to fill vacancies as soon as possible. It would be unprecedented in recent history for the Supreme Court to go a year with a vacant seat. Failing to fill this vacancy would be a shameful abdication of one of the Senate’s most essential Constitutional responsibilities.” News of Scalia’s death broke hours before the latest Republican presidential debate and added another explosive element to a heated GOP primary campaign. Even before Saturday, the fate of the Supreme Court was already a key election issue, given the possibility that the next President could get the chance to nominate at least two or three Justices due to the age of those on the bench and the possible shift of the ideological balance of the court. Antonin Scalia Dies; Supreme Court Justice Was 79

Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia was reportedly found dead in his room at a luxury resort in West Texas this morning. He was 79 years old. Law enforcement officials report that Scalia appears to have died from natural causes. Sources close to the situation say that Scalia was vacationing at the resort with a large group of friends. When he did not appear at breakfast this morning, a hotel employee entered his room and found that he had passed away during the night. The Supreme Court’s longest-serving justice, Scalia was appointed to his post by President Ronald Reagan in 1986. He was the Court’s first Italian-American justice. Texas Governor Ted Abbott issued the following statement about Scalia just moments ago: “ He was the solid rock who turned away so many attempts to depart from and distort the Constitution. His fierce loyalty to the Constitution set an unmatched example, not just for judges and lawyers, but for all Americans. “We mourn his passing, and we pray that his successor on the Supreme Court will take his place as a champion for the written Constitution and the Rule of Law. ” Texas senator and current presidential hopeful Ted Cruz issued a statement calling Scalia “one of the greatest Justices in history.” Scalia is survived by his wife of 56 years and his nine children. Awesomely Insane Woman Rails Against Gay Marriage

The totally insane woman in this video has a question for anyone celebrating the legalization of gay marriage : Are you a Christian? Actually, sorry. Let us do a better impression of the totally insane woman in this video. She's really asking: ARE YOU A CHRISTIAN?!?!?!?!?!?!? We hate to help turn Indiana native Becky Wegner Rommel into a viral sensation, but some videos are too amazing not to share… even when those videos are filled with hate and maniacal ranting. Rommel is entitled to her opinion on gay marriage, of course, but she goes off in this footage (which she uploaded to Facebook) about Islamic “Extremlists” (that’s not a misspelling on our part), while decreeing over and over that “five justices decided God was wrong.” She also has strong takes on abortion and how God did on a cross for the “very people who are spitting on His face right now” and on how disappointing the Founding Fathers must be in this Supreme Court decision. Becky ends by begging her fellow Christians to take a stand. It's safe to say someone does not believe love won last week. This poor woman.
