Spike Lee ‘s Oldboy is getting some bad ass company in the Park Chan-Wook remake business, as the Korean director’s ultraviolent femme-fronted Sympathy For Lady Vengeance , the third pic in Park’s Vengeance trilogy, will be remade into a Charlize Theron -fronted Americanized adaptation by Departed writer William Monahan. Theron (who will star and produce under her Denver & Delilah Films banner) joins forces with Oscar-winning screenwriter Monahan and superproducer Megan Ellison, arguably the ballsiest financier around; the actress has been trying to make Lady Vengeance for a few years now, but this update indicates it’s finally coming together. “This will be very American — and very unexpected,” Monahan said as the project was announced. “Park is a genius; it’s the Everest of adaptations and I’ve got blood in my teeth to do it.” I’ve got blood in my teeth to do it, Monahan says. A Polish woman is facing three years in prison after she removed ALL of her ex-boyfriend’s teeth during dental surgery just days after their breakup. Surprising he kept the appointment. Dentist Anna Mackowiak Pulls All Ex’s Teeth Out “I tried to be professional and detach myself from my emotions,” Anna Mackowiak, 34, recalled to the Austrian Times . “But when I saw him lying there I just thought, ‘What a bastard’ and decided to take all his teeth out .” Marek Olszewski, 45, showed up at her office complaining of toothache just days after he dumpedher. She then allegedly gave him a heavy dose of anesthetic, locked the door and started pulling all of his teeth, one by one. “I knew something was wrong because when I woke up I couldn’t feel any teeth and my jaw was strapped up with bandages,” Olszewski said. That’s generally a tip-off. “She told me my mouth was numb and I wouldn’t be able to feel anything for a bit and that the bandage was there to protect the gums,” he added. “I didn’t have any reason to doubt her, I mean I thought she was a professional.” Adding insult to injury, Olszewski’s new girlfriend already left him over his toothless appearance. Rough. Reports say Mackowiak may also face a malpractice suit. Ya think??!

With five movies set for release in 2012 — the next being “The Vow” with Rachel McAdams on February 10 — it’s makes sense that Tatum is about to reach a pretty big milestone in his career: hosting “Saturday Night Live” for the first time, alongside musical guest Bon Iver. MTV News caught up with star during rehearsals on the “SNL” set, where he seemed to be a little anxious taking on his newest role as host. “I’m more nervous then I could probably tell you,” Channing admitted. “It happened so sort of constant and fast, you don’t really get a chance to think about it all too much. Like, you go home, you think and think and think, then you pass out and your alarm goes off, and then you come and do it again.” The “SNL” cast is trying to put Tatum’s nerves at ease. “They take care of you so much, so they really set you up to succeed,” he said. “Everyone is so at the top of their game as far as writing and acting, and this is a machine like I’ve never seen before. I wish movies ran this efficient; we would make them better.” Tatum, who revealed that his favorite past “SNL” castmembers are Dan Aykroyd and Chris Kattan, got some unusual advice on what he should do Saturday night from onetime host Kelly Ripa. “She said to put Vaseline on my teeth because she said your mouth goes dry when you say your name and your lips are stuck to your teeth,” Channing said. “If I can remember it, I’ll do it, but maybe I’ll Vaseline the lips instead of the teeth.” Are you excited to see Channing Tatum host “Saturday Night Live”? We hate to say it, but the facts speak for themselves: the solo career of Joe Jonas is off to an abysmal start. In its first week of sales, Joe’s first-ever solo album, “Fastlife,” sold just 18,000 copies, landing him in 15th place on the Billboard 200. By comparison, the last CD Jonas compiled with his brothers, “A Little Bit Longer,” moved 525,000 copies in the same time period. Ouch. Joe Jonas Covers Chris Brown Nick Jonas , meanwhile, also jumped into a solo career last year (with his band, The Administration, that is) and sold 82,000 copies of “Who I Am.” Double ouch. “Transforming a charmed teenhood career into a viable adult one is possibly one of the entertainment industry’s most difficult feats,” wrote Julianne Escobedo Shepherd in Billboard last week. “For every Justin Timberlake, there are 10 former boy-band members whose post-group disinterest led them to hang up their hats.” Can Joe rebound from this rough opening week?
