The battle for (unjustified) high-end luxury Android devices continues, this time with the latest from TAG Heuer dubbed the Racer. Taking design cues from Formula 1 cars, the device looks like a little closer to a weapon from Square’s Deus Ex than a luxury sports car although, apparently, it’s the materials that make it stand Broadcasting platform : YouTube Source : Android Phone Fans Discovery Date : 12/03/2012 10:39 Number of articles : 2

For Your Viewing Pleasure: Photos And Video Of Bin Laden’s Dead Body May Be Released As Conservative Group Files Lawsuit!

Uh-ohhhh, Kola Boof might lose her husband-fawking mind if THIS goes down! The world may yet see photographs — and even video — of a dead Osama Bin Laden. The conservative group Judicial Watch has sued for release of the materials under Freedom of Information Law, and they apparently have a case, The Atlantic Wire reports. Former Justice Department privacy official Dan Metcalfe told the Website that a government brief in the case effectively concedes “portions of the records that are legally required to be disclosed.” That could mean redacting portions of the images that show U.S. military personnel or technology, but not the slain terror leader, according to the report. The CIA has argued that such a disclosure would “trigger violence” around the globe, Wired.com reported. After offing the terror leader in Pakistan last May with a “double tap” of gunshots to the torso and head, Navy SEALs snapped pictures of his corpse to show they got their man. The Obama Administration nixed conspiracy theories by showing them to a select group of lawmakers, who agreed that the “gruesome” photographs proved Bin Laden’s death beyond a shadow of a doubt. Keep it 100, don’t YOU want to see these pictures if they are released?? Source Flip the page for a gallery of a few of the “real” Bin Laden death pics

Super Recyclable Laptop Can Be Torn Down in 2 Minutes Without Tools

Photo via Autodesk The bulk of a computer is recyclable. Each of our desktops or laptops is made of components that can be easily turned into a new product at end of life — or rather, it should be easy to turn them into something new. While the materials themselves are highly recyclable, it’s tough work to separate them on the recycling line, which is one of the reasons recycling electronics is so expensive. Manufacturers are very slowly starting to take this in mind in their design phase, and third-party certifiers like EPEAT are giving them extra points for designing for easy recycling. But … Read the full story on TreeHugger

Urchin Poufs are Hand-Knit by Dutch Designer

Image from flocks Dutch designer Christien Meindertsma is a bit of an obsessive personality. She is very very interested in “the products we consume and the materials they are made of”. To that end she spends years researching every aspect of the material that she is working with. These large and comfy looking poufs would be perfect for watching t.v. or a child’s room. They are hand-knit from New Zealand wool. The colour is vegetable dye: indigo, wauw, meekrap – all plants- and cochenille are added to the existing wool creating bright blue, yellow, red and pink…. Federal officials thwart militia plot

From NBC's Pete Williams Federal prosecutors say members of a Michigan-based militia planned to kill a local policeman — and then attack the law enforcement officers who gathered in Michigan for the funeral. According to court documents, the plan was to attack law enforcement vehicles during a funeral procession with homemade bombs. Prosecutors say one of the militia members downloaded information about how to build the devices from the Internet and emailed diagrams of them to someone he believed was capable of making them. The militia member directed his son and others to begin gathering the materials requires to make them. Justice Department officials say that nine people — six from Michigan, two from Ohio, and one from Indiana — have been charged in what they say was this plot to attack local police. It's clear that the FBI has had this group under close watch for months, and had the capacity to shut it down whenever investigators believed it was planning to go operational, which is just what happened over the weekend. added by: CaptSutter
