Read more:

They have yet to pair up in the studio again, but Ciara and Nicki Minaj pretty much headlined the front row at Givenchy’s show for New York Fashion Week. It’s rare that the audience at a fashion show will steal any of the shine from the designs being paraded down the runway, but Nicki and […]

Christian Siriano: Engaged to Brad Walsh!

Already a winner in the world of fashion, Christian Siriano is now a winner in the even more important world of love. He’s engaged to musician Brad Walsh! The former Project Runway winner made his designs on marriage clear in a Tweet yesterday, telling followers that “@BradWalsh and I exchanged engagement bracelets!” and including with the news a photo of said jewelry items. Walsh then confirmed the engagement himself in a social media message: “We’ve told our moms so now we can tell you. Yesterday we exchanged engagement bracelets,” he wrote. Siriano won Project Runway in 2008 and has enjoyed a successful career as a designer ever since, dressing such beauties as Christina Hendricks and Heidi Klum . He and Walsh, meanwhile, have lived together in Manhattan since 2010, with the latter often creating music for th former’s fashion shows, including Siriano’s 2013 fall/winter line. We send this couple our very best wishes!

Kyle Richards: Topless on Twitter!

A photo of Kyle Richards topless has turned up on Twitter. And we shudder to admit: we’ve got it. Her husband, Mauricio Umansky, posted a photo of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star in the pool, staring into the camera, no top to be found. Richards, of course, proceeded to re-Tweet the photo, seemingly reprimanding Umansky by writing as a caption, “we have children.” And, of course, publicizing the picture simultaneously. It’s almost as if that were her plan all along…

Visible Shower Tank Helps Visualize Water Use

Images via Yanko Design Usually water-saving design concepts for showers are some sort of electronic gadget that makes your water use visible — by showing how much you’re using, how much of an impact you’re making on the planet with your water footprint , or scoring you on reducing your environmental footprint. However, this shower concept simplifies conservation by showing you your water use in the most literal sense. … Read the full story on TreeHugger

Super Recyclable Laptop Can Be Torn Down in 2 Minutes Without Tools

Photo via Autodesk The bulk of a computer is recyclable. Each of our desktops or laptops is made of components that can be easily turned into a new product at end of life — or rather, it should be easy to turn them into something new. While the materials themselves are highly recyclable, it’s tough work to separate them on the recycling line, which is one of the reasons recycling electronics is so expensive. Manufacturers are very slowly starting to take this in mind in their design phase, and third-party certifiers like EPEAT are giving them extra points for designing for easy recycling. But … Read the full story on TreeHugger

Dumpster Pools Making a Splash in Manhattan

Image: Macro-Sea and Vamos Architects (via NYT ) Last year’s Dumpster pool parties of Brooklyn have made it to the big time: Park Avenue in New York. For the first three Saturdays of August, three of these pools — repurposed dumpster bins that have been cleaned, lined and filled with water — are making an appearance on the east side of Park Avenue between 40th and 41st Streets, as part of the third Summer Streets Initiative. The N… Read the full story on TreeHugger
