Remember that scene in Children of Men where Clive Owen watches from the treeline as Michael Caine’s character jokes with the gunman to pull his finger? And then the shooter blows his hand clean off? Eclipse Screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg on Fans: ‘They’re Coming After Me a Little Bit Already!’

In many ways, Melissa Rosenberg has the Twilight franchise’s most difficult job: as screenwriter, she has to satisfy not just the original novelist Stephenie Meyer, but the actors (including Kristen Stewart, who famously won’t say a line if she doesn’t believe it), directors, and fans, too. The imminent Eclipse is her third crack at the series, and up next is the very controversial Breaking Dawn , which Rosenberg is busily splitting into two movies. In a candid interview with Movieline, Rosenberg discussed fan frustrations, her thoughts on Summit’s director selections, and just how she pictures that Breaking Dawn split.

Did Chris Brown’s Weepy BET Michael Jackson Tribute Redeem Him?

Teehee. Of course not. If Alicia Keys’s tribute medley to herself didn’t freeze your face into a wince during last night’s BET Awards, Chris Brown achieved the task with his uber-tearful Michael Jackson homage. Oh, the passion! Did you know that “Man in the Mirror” is about Chris Brown’s plea for you to like him? Just ask Quincy Jones. Did you know “Billie Jean” is just a metaphor for whatever Chris Brown did to Rihanna? No? It’s time to join the times, simpletons. Because these songs may just be tainted forever.
