Jeremy Piven on I Melt With You and Searching for the Anti-Ari Gold

Mark Pellington’s bromantic thriller I Melt With You made quite the splash at Sundance , just not the kind a filmmaker necessarily wants to make: Critics walked out of the film, recoiling at the bleakness on display in the tale of four former college friends (Jeremy Piven, Thomas Jane, Rob Lowe, and Christian McKay), reuniting for a weekend bender, who confront their collective middle-aged disillusionment with increasingly violent ends. Co-star Piven knew from the start it would be a polarizing project to take on.

Thomas Jane: I Was a Male Prostitute!

File this under Admissions We Did Not See Coming: In an interview with The Los Angeles Times , Thomas Jane says he was once homeless and earned money as a man-on-man prostitute. “When I was a kid out here in L.A., I was homeless. I didn’t have any money and I was living in my car,” the actor says . “I wasn’t averse to going down to Santa Monica Boulevard and letting a guy buy me a sandwich. Know what I mean?” The Hung star, who been married twice, adds that “you’re a lot more open to experimentation as a young man. And for me, being a young artist and broke in Los Angeles, I was exploring my sexual identity.” Does he have any regrets? Nope. “Until you’ve tasted the food, you don’t know whether you’ll like it or not, as my mom always said.” [Photo: WENN.com]

Hung’s Rebecca Creskoff on Season 2: "I’m the One with My Clothes on For a Change"

Can’t wait for Hung to return to HBO? We’ve got some good news and some bad news. The good news is that we’ll see more nudity and sex than ever before, according to the cast- Charlie Saxton, who plays series lead Thomas Jane ‘s son, says season 2 features ” beautiful, sexy sex, and lots of it. ” The bad news? that beautiful, sexy sex won’t skinvolve Rebecca Creskoff , who plays lady pimp Lenore. Rebecca told Philly.com ‘s Dan Gross that “I am probably the one with my clothes on the most for a change ” this season, though it’s not for fear of what her family will think. Creskoff also said that she almost didn’t take the part for fear of peeling onscreen, and it was her mother than convinced her to do the nudity: ” She said, ‘This is a big opportunity. You’re an artist. Go for it’ ,” Creskoff said. Ah, motherly love! Members can see much, much more of Hung ‘s Rebecca Creskoff right here at MrSkin.com

Elizabeth Olsen on Martha Marcy May Marlene and Growing Up in Hollywood

One of the biggest discoveries you’ll make this year — and one of this fall’s class of neophyte Oscar contenders — is 22-year-old Elizabeth Olsen . The younger sister of Mary-Kate and Ashley may have earned her first credits as a child actor in her siblings’ tween franchise-building movies, but she launches her very serious film career this October in the Sundance award-winning Martha Marcy May Marlene , Sean Durkin’s deeply observed drama-thriller about a shell-shocked young woman (Olsen) who reunites with her family after spending years under the influence of a sexually-abusive cult.

Bromantic Shenanigans Get Dark in Exclusive Images from I Melt With You

I Melt With You , Mark Pellington ‘s dark — and I mean way dark — meditation on midlife crises and male bonding, proved to be decidedly difficult stuff for many critics Sundance Film Festival debut last January. Back then I wrote in favor of giving its existential punk romanticism a chance to make its case (especially if you’re a fan of folks like Jeremy Piven , who turns in a great face-melting performance). You’ll finally get your chance to weigh in on the IMWY debate this fall as the film makes its way to VOD and limited theatrical release; get in the spirit with three new stills that highlight the trajectory of Thomas Jane, Rob Lowe, Christian McKay, and Piven’s bromantic weekend of horrors.

Jeremy Piven Thinks Miley Cyrus is "Kind of Amazing"

Considering the source, this is a tad more creepy than complimentary. But it would be an understatement to say that Jeremy Piven enjoyed working with Miley Cyrus on So Undercover . When asked about his co-star on the movie – which featured Cyrus hired as a private eye hired by an FBI agent played by Piven – the Entourage actor gushed: “She’s kind of amazing. There’s something so incredibly refreshing about someone who is exactly who they are. There’s nothing pretentious about her. She’s this force. She loves to laugh.” Miley on Set Piven is the second, older co-star to praise Cyrus this week. Check out what Thomas Jane said about his LOL cohort HERE . Oddly, fans within Miley’s own age group are less enamored. They recently voted their former role model the Worst Celebrity Influence of the year .
